  1. If you side with the Kuei-Jin, you'll discover a completely different use for the sarcophagus
  2. My condolences That *would* suck.
  3. It's Ok as long as I don't really "suffer". If my framerate was at a crawl, like 10fps, I might take steps like that. Most of the time though, it's the load times that annoy me, not the speed once it's loaded
  4. Since they are getting more and more annoying, Obsidian could make them do something useful... Like modifying the forum software to automatically replace anything remotely ressembling a url by posters with a postcount of less than 5 with a url that points to www.obsidianent.com, www.savethedodo.org, whatever. If you can't prevent them from joining, I'm pretty sure you can prevent them from linking to whatever it is they want to sell
  5. They don't always suck. My laptop runs NWN2 with 35pfs indoor (rebuilt Ironfist halls) and 20fps outdoors (Crossroad keep). Low shadow settings, double AA, water effects turned on.
  6. Wait, what? You can't have companions change classes freely, can you? Maybe the "your" fighter is referring to your fighter, as in your fighter player character? Just a thought.
  7. G'night? Sheesh... Other deities work six days a week... tirelessly Well, when you wake up, I've got a few burning questions for you in your exalted capacitiy then, what's the deal with creationists and evolutionists? How big and how old is the universe and what was Jack the Rippers true identity? A promising career start. He has all the diplomatic skill of Vyacheslav Molotov ^_^
  8. I don't know if it the same bug that keeps pestering me, but I noticed that whenever I change party members outside the Sunken Flagon Inn (like in some scripted events or when you get your castle), the newly added partymembers seems to be stuck in "Puppet Mode" and no changing of settings seems to work. Only workaround that I found so far is to visit the Sunken Flagon Inn, after which the "dumb" party members seems to pick up their brains and act normally (normally for their AI anyway). Annoying, but hopefully fixed some day
  9. Gods and Moderators are so closely akin that I can see where the mistake might have been make ( pardon me while I go wash my mouth out now ). Make that Lye Soap
  10. Interesting concept. No "Holy Ghost" to facilitate communication between my creation and me? It might lose a bit of it's incentive then, if I can't even receive prayers and adulation from my subjects, nor punish then at a whim when I feel peevish (I've played too much Populous (Sp?)). Let's just for a moment assume then, that I take the same kind of pleasure in my creation that a painter might get from a new painting then, i.e. joy derived from the creation process itself, maybe making a few dollars too if I could sell it to a collector. Hmmm, what would go in there? Crates, Sewers and Ritual Virgin Sacrifice for sure Kidding aside though, it's a tough question, especially if you have limited or no interaction with events inside your creation. I need to think a bit more about this
  11. I hadn't seen his post when I wrote that comment. The double meaning of modding as world building and moderator work being completely unintentional, I swear
  12. I think it's because Kotor2 keeps your saved games seperated by character name. There is a "switch" function where you can switch between different sets of save games, unlike Kotor1 which had them in a big pile. A quick peek in the save game folder with windows explorer should give some hints on whether they are really gone or if he has just created a new character which then becomes the active set of saved games.
  13. Lucky me, last time I checked my legs, my knees were still below my hips. Actually, they were located at the end of my thighs As for leaning back... I'll print this one out and show it to the CEO next time he asks why the heck I'm just sitting there, leaning back on my chair
  14. I know somebody who is in Budapest these days (Josan), He'll probably find Ontario pretty dull when he gets back to Canada He did say something about people appearing disturbingly paranoid in the streets though.
  15. If it turns out as well as quite a few people (including me) hopes, you guys can add some good things to your resume for future job applications I would think
  16. Where did this supposedly happen? The reason I'm not seeing you as being terribly bright yourself is making things like this up. Baseless hogwash doesn't go far in revealing much aptitude. Lets see... Ah yes, not passing off opinion as unbiased truth. No one and No one, thats pretty absolute statements with no base in facts. And then there was... [quote name='
  17. Not to mention that they would wear half an inch of padded clothes beneath the armour once you took it off them
  18. I do the exact opposite. If there is little to no difference I'll play female. Mainly because I prefer to stare at a female avatar for 40+ hours than a male avatar. :)" :D A perfectly valid reason.
  19. Male/Both. Depends on the game really. If there is a difference in game experience, I play first as male, then eventually as female. My spare girl "Gwynn" will have to do the dishes while "Gorth" is on vacation then. If there is none or only neglible difference, I play male. Being male is sort of what I'm most experienced with :)" The one exception is Tomb Raider, but choice of sex is not really an option there
  20. Tell that to Kheldorn when he lopped off Viconias head >_ And that was a Lawful Good paladin :D
  21. That is based on the assumption that Dark Raven isn't a raping, pillaging, child molesting miscreant. If Dark Raven is a know menace to the innocent and you know based on her nature that she will kill innocents if she manages to get up and move around again, is the choice then really that simple. Buy not acting, don't you become an accomplice to a possible future evil act by not preventing it (and chopping of Dark Ravens head given half the chance, never mind the nature of the chance) ?
  22. How can you say that? I love my cloth map. First cloth map I've got with a game since I bought Ultima IV when it was released :'( Not to mention those awesome rings I can wear when walking down the street doing knockdown hits, leaving marks with "Chaotic Evil" and "Lawful Good" on their heads A soundtrack would have been nice though. Weren't there some editions out there with a soundtrack? I still enjoy my IWD soundtrack from one of the big boxed sets with eveything IWD related included. Except for Trial of the Luremaster which it seems to be physically impossible for publishers to include with all the other IWD related stuff for some reason. It would probaly also be one of the "cheapest" things manufacturing wise to include in the game box, especially using paper sleeves
  23. Still 60 minor issues, just like yesterday? ... Do we have to find the big stick to motivate the beta testers here?
