Finished my game of Mass Effect 2. I deliberately went with a less than perfect ending (I don't think I've ever killed any team/crew members before) to satisfy my curiosity. No maxing out of Jack or Zaeed resulted in a dead engineer Daniels (I did like the innuendo and fun dialogue between Daniels and Donnelly throughout the game) and as well as Presley and the biggest loss of all... Chambers. By extension, all my fish died soon after I guess nobody really cared about Zaeed, as he survived despite not getting his way (I saved the refinery workers, no loyalty there), whereas Jack did bite the bullet before the end. I suspect the former is because he was a DLC addon IIRC, so no consequences either way? It will probably be a while before I play ME2 again. I chose Miranda as the romance option btw, that's how Jack ended up failing the loyalty test, as I didn't have enough light/dark side power to persuade her (having already done Miranda's mission, I could have sided with Jack to maximize both team members loyalty, but that would ruin the experiment). I managed to squeeze both Legion and Tali into the team without them killing each other. Not that they didn't try to at first. Lots of characters I never really bothered with though. It's possible I did in the first half dozen runs back when the game is new. Generally stuck with Miranda, Mordin, Grunt and Kazumi for most missions that didn't require specific team members. Now off to play ME3. -

I'm through most of Mass Effect 2 by now. I just completed the IFF retrieval mission and got my last party member (rather than selling him to Cerberus). For some weird reason, I love the conversation where Sheppard tries his best to get a name out of the Geth I can't remember if Legion has a loyalty mission, but otherwise down to two. Need to do Jack's on Pragia and Sayeed's on some planet I can't remember the name of from top of my head. I like the story and most of the characters. Combat is IMHO by far the weakest of the three games (not counting Andromeda as I haven't played it yet) Edit: I made a mistake that I've done the last 3 times I played the original version of this game... my poor fish -
I haven't followed Stasis 2, but I was a backer of the original Stasis. Very interesting game

I remember when voxels were prophezised to become the future of 3D gaming (this was before graphics cards had much in the way of built in support for 3D graphics). Both on the Commodore Amiga and the PC. -
Spent a bit of time on my Alpha Legion army for the Horus Heresy. Still need to paint a bit of battle wear and tear and finish the bases they are standing on before this unit is "joining the army" I think I'll paint some kind of vehicle next (tank or troop transport), just to not get tired of painting infantry models...

https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/06/02/download-the-new-warhammer-40000-rules-for-free-right-here/ Didn't know where else to put it as it isn't really a "video game"

How to restore purchases?

The best bet for this is probably to send an email to the official support (https://support.obsidian.net/) Click on the contact button there to message support. This is "help each place" for players, where people share tips, trick, workarounds etc... -
GW lost touch with their customers when the original company went public (shares floated in 1997 or so). People with spreadsheets (and no, not the combat stat spreadsheets) runs to company now, not the idealists who founded it int he late 70's. Important are things like the balance sheet, not consumer satisfaction (which is less important once you become a de-facto monopoly).

I'm fairly sure we'll hear about it when he meets it -
The moment a manager/boss pulls something like that, is the moment I'm heading for the door. No kidding, I've left well paid jobs before, because I didn't like the management style and for that reason only. Having your mutually agreed upon bonus snatched away with no warning would be a 5 minute trigger for me (the 5 minutes it takes to clear my desk and return the door key/swipe card to the company)

As well as camels (no kidding, feral camels are now considered a pest) and cane toads. Just some of several introduced species that bread out of control.... Edit: Australia's deadliest animal is the horse, but I've never seen a campaign to eradicate horses -

It was very interesting playing as a Malkavian. I still have a score to settle with the stop sign. That being said, my second most favourite playthrough was Nosferatu. After the luxury or ordinary safe houses of the other clans (it was my fifth play through of the game), getting a sewer pipe as your new home was a bit of a downer -
I'll wait and see what the verdict is on the writing... I stopped playing 40k a long time ago, but the lore and the characters in the universe still interests me very much (hence why I play Kill Team and Horus Heresy). I always wished for a WH40k "genuine" crpg, but the trailers shows little of the quality of the writing (or lack of) and character personalities so far

I'm genuinely curious, is it as bad as it seems from the outside? https://www.bbc.com/culture/article/20230525-how-book-banning-escalated-in-the-us It's very hard not to draw parallels to another time and another place. You guys who live there would know better (I hope), so is it just DeSantis working on spreading his vision of a new American "Paradise" to a federal level, or is it just a small group of very vocal regressive forces in the country, stirring up things Edit: I.e. is it a problem or just a few shrill voices making enough noise that international media uses it for click bait and site hits

Background, 95 old woman waved a steak knife at the police (she was using a walking frame, so it's not like she was going to run after the cop with the knife). While he didn't shoot to kill, he tasered her. Now she's dead. She collapsed and hit her head on the way down. A bad case of "overkill" (poor choice of words, I know). https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-65696475 For me, an obvious case of using the wrong tool for the job, as is often the case where police is the "default" go to solution whenever somebody somewhere has a problem. Same thing when dealing with people with mental issues. Police are often a blunt tool applied to a fragile object (the few specialists working for the force not withstanding).

Dang it, I need to dust off my Lich run again. Got sidetracked by table top wargaming (yeah, that real life stuff involving playing with real, live people ) I had just finished building a nice ziggurat, exploring the basement, but no obscene rituals taking place down there (yet)

I'm not a fan of just dropping a Youtube link and a here you go, bye kind of post... there are lots of videos out there now about the war and it can be a bit hard to filter the interesting ones from the 117th iteration of a subject covered exactly the same by 116 previous videos. This one caught my interest when I watched it, because it's a guy collecting info (no not "doxxing", but trying to create a profile of the mindset of Russian soldiers) from social media posts. Very interesting (and sad) IMHO. He shows a number of different examples...
