  1. I know from programming both rules based and neural network based AI's in the dark and grim past, that the latter in particular is very resource demanding. Which is why I suspect it's not widely used to create "better AI's" in games. Rules based depends entirely on the rules as defined by the designer of course. No fun having an opponent that can out think and out smart you, if it also brings your PC to a grinding halt (despite outrageous hardware requirements)
  2. Oooh, looks like one of the combatants may start to get cold feet... https://www.bbc.com/news/business-66494113 In a post on his social media site Threads, the Meta boss said he had offered Mr Musk "a real date" but the rival entrepreneur had made excuses. Mr Musk had earlier on Sunday suggested on his own messaging site X, formerly known as Twitter, that he was willing to fight as early as Monday. The billionaires agreed to the bout in June, sparking huge media attention. But despite egging each other on for months, the rivals have yet to secure a date, raising doubts the fight will ever go ahead. ... There can be only one!
  3. I once had a Marklin Mini Club model train set (Z Scale)... not quite as ambitious as this
  4. Upcoming cage fight between Musk and Zuckerberg could be hosted in Italy. Ladies and Gentlemen place your bets… https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-66480636
  5. Sometimes the "simple" things can be enjoyable too. Simple in quotes, because I'm fairly sure there is absolutely nothing simple in the skills required to pull off a song like that, but simple in its composition. No subtitles and no clue what she's singing. Could be a love story, declaration of war, the apocalypse or enjoy the sunshine at the coast... (Bulgarian to the best of my knowledge from the context)
  6. Not really... if I understood it correctly, you need either the demon or devil or whatever path (unmodded game)
  7. This game needs more Nocticula romance mods!... Anyway, split off from previous path... https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/131386-pathfinder-wrath-of-the-righteous-part-6/
  8. Nice stuff in there. Glad Pentiment did "better than expected" when it came to reception. If anyone had asked me a few years ago, Grounded would have been my candidate for a niche game with a tiny cult following (and not 10 million players) Interesting bits about Avowed. Sounds like the decision to ram multiplayer down its throat at all cost was what cased it to hiccup and get in trouble at some point (until the focus changed)
  9. Announcing your intent on the front months in advance is quite counter productive. It may help boost domestic morale, but it will in the end get more of your own people killed (needlessly). A situation where secrecy and the element of surprise would have worked wonders. But that is in an ideal world (of course, in an ideal world there wouldn't have been a war in the first place), in the real world, you have to work with what you have and that is being the fall guy for 15 western countries waging a proxy war against Russia (the latter only having themselves to thank for it). The west gets to feed its starving media and tabloids, Ukraine gets to do the dying.
  10. Childhood memories... yes, I know, this was a year or two before I was born, but my parents had radio and believe it or not, this stuff was played all the way to the end of the 60's

    BG3

Not having an ssd drive to dedicate to a game means BG3 will go down the waiting list somewhat. My wallet thank you I suspect it has to do with a lot of frequent loading of smaller assets.
  12. That's more than the total annual GDP of each of the countries 84-190 on the list of countries sorted by GDP Edit for those curious: https://www.worldometers.info/gdp/gdp-by-country/

What do you mean? Cyberpunk 2077 is almost ready to come out of early access!
  14. If Bruce Dickinson wants more cowbell, we better give him more cowbell! Haven't heard BOC in I don't know how many decades... (you need VPN if watching from Australia, but it's worth that one extra click to watch it)
  15. I challenge people to listen to 3 minutes of this and not run over a cliff side while screaming Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong!
  16. I'm not sure how well it holds up to modern recordings (recording quality), but dang I listened to a lot of Accept during the early 80's.... first bought their albums on vinyl and later on cd during the latter part of the 80's, gradually phasing out my old vinyls as cd's became available
  17. It's probably two different messages for two different audiences. The foreign policy one as a "show of strength" to neighboring countries and a domestic one of being "the victim of international bullying", to rally support on the home front.
  18. The day you hear a dolphin thank you for all the fish, it's time to finish any outstanding business and wrap things up asap
  19. If you nitpick the term "pre-war borders", that would imply a restoration of status quo to early 2022? I.e. Crimea be the price of peace. Edit: What could make both the people living in Donbas and the government in Ukraine happy? I can't really see any compromises, that would ensure long lasting peace.
  20. Regill didn’t stick around for my trickster game, but my barbarian was also very chaotic. He didn’t seem to appreciate that I’ll probably miss Seelah and her trusty steed Sybian, but that is Ok. I might still not be lawful enough for Regill when the time comes. He’s already being pushy, I have to go meet his buddies. I would like to keep him and his raptor mount (“Raptus”) around a bit longer this time
