  1. is a superior work of art, but unfortunately ignored.
  2. It was the damn Jews' fault.
  3. Arcanum soundtrack. Midnight Vultures - Beck.
  4. Fun times. Although the topic often pops up in the Elder Scrolls forums too.
  5. Superhero League of Hoboken should get more lovin'.
  6. "This is Sparta!" (please press the Level Up button)
  7. Fun fact: the forums have an auto censor which makes it so everytime you type "RPG Codex" in the message field, it will be automatically converted to "I really love Oblivion". I'm not kidding.
  8. Sure, no problem. I just found it somewhat off puting that I've spent some time here pointing out I really enjoy either realtime or turn-based, and that my preferences don't really have a say in whatever I may think are market realities and suddenly it was like 2006 again!
  9. Man, mkreku went all retro on me for no good reason. Oh well, who cares.
  10. I was going to say it's hell on earth. Then an asylum with all the inmates running free. But it's just one small contigent of sanity drowned out by this huge cesspool of idiots, trolls and 13 year olds whose videogame knowlegde is inexorably fixated on conventions such as Bethesda is god, turn-based is worse than cancer, and realtime was created 5 minutes ago.
  11. These aren't particularly new and as such the novelty may have worn off a bit, but still, I found a handful of Cthulhu-based images on my backups and for what it may be worth, I'm posting them here. I've found these images and kept them for reference, but it's been a long time since I've stored them and as such I can't remember the sources. Feel free to post some of yours, if you have any.
  12. Nonsense. Refined tastes do not make one a fanboy!
  13. When I read the thread title, I thought it meant they'd only be able to get near 6-foot poles.
  14. Now, if only said direction was actually new in the context of the genre...
  15. Those people are idiots who missed their flight straight into the sun's core, along with any other radioactive sludge we still haven't gotten rid of. Baldur's Gate had several NPCs in Candlekeep pointing out that you could PAUSE the game. Baldur's Gate 2 had a separate tutorial area that brought this up as well. Neverworking Right probably mentioned this at some point though it's been a while and on replays, I almost always skip the Academy anyway so I don't remember.
  16. Cthulhu requires your computer!
  17. I'm sure he's not, actually: witness the similar comments from the more hardcore Fallout fanatics. A niche within a niche, eh. And while I certainly don't share his opinion, I personally don't care much for Fallout at this point. I very much enjoyed the first game, had some fun with the second but have moved on. There were only two games I could ever consider to be its successor, and one of them - Van Buren - got canned. This isn't to say I won't foam a bit at the mouth when I get my hands on Bethesda's take on the series, but I'm mostly uncaring about the next Fallout. It's not a "I don't want a new Fallout", it's a "I don't care about a new Fallout". The game's context is wasted on today's market and gamers.
  18. If you liked that, you'll enjoy porn.
  19. Curious. Not sure if many know about this but... There have been multiple releases of fan patches which I've always detested since they masquerade (eh) themselves as patches but aside fixing some bugs also add unbalancing gameplay modification. I've never used these despite the bigfixes they propose to introduce in the game. However, today I was browsing around and noticed this (weird) site run by a Tessmage, after following a profile link in a VtmB forum. She dabbles in some game modifications (including nude skins for various games, Bloodlines included) but also seems to have worked on the kind of thing that should have been brought up more times - a real "Bug-Fixes-Only" patch for Bloodlines. The current patch is 4.02AT, and you can find more info here: The current patch weighs in at 160 MBs, approximately. Anyone care to give it a go?
  20. ^Hey, thanks for that information - cool beans! I spent so much time trying all possible combinations for that quest I still hadn't bother to check the result. Once again, thanks - appreciate it!
  21. I'd suggest that in real life, there's a limit to how much better you can get. Also, if you train daily with a skill, become great with it, and then train daily in a second skill, you'll lose a certain amount of ability with the first skill. Also, some things just aren't learned or improved through repetition but by experimentation, intuition or observation - or a combination of those. A boxeur will not be able to best his opponents by training the same way every single day - new moves, new ways to block or dodge and so on require he learn new things that he can incorporate into his training. If only I became godlike at sex by just doing it everyday...
