You still have to prove that this new version of SF is any more unbeatable than the previous ones. Those were defeated shortly after they were put into use, and people are already getting to work on SF4. It's only a matter of time before your shiny SF4 bites the dust. And quite frankly, I can't wait.

I d/l'ed a trailer of a co-op sequence and it seems great. I'm thinking of picking up this title for that feature alone, as I just love co-op. We need more co-op games. :cool:

It's a good game if you can get over its awful GUI. The utter inability to issue orders to multiple soldiers simultaneously in a real time environment can be... annoying.

Well, nukes are not cost-effective IMO, since they're not even guaranteed to clear a city of enemy units. You're better off building bombers and carriers to take them on a tour of the enemy cities. I don't think I've ever been involved in a major nuclear conflict. But whatever floats your boat. ) You mean you didn't know the AI cheats? The level of cheating depends on the difficulty level. At the lower levels, the cheating favors the player, as AI production speeds are gimped. At the higher levels, the AI cheats really badly. Apparently, that's what "difficulty levels" means for some programmers. <_< I don't know if the cheating affects the success rate and cost of espionage operations, though. IIRC, not every part of the spaceship needs the same technologies. It is entirely possible that they were building parts that don't require superconductors. In fact, it's the smart thing to do if you're going for spaceship victory. Well, that's the point where the game began to get boring for me. The levels at which the AI doesn't cheat (or the cheating favors you) offer little to no challenge once you have grasped the basics of the game, and I really hate it when the AI cheats so blatantly. The higher difficulty levels are there for bragging rights only.

Time for some serious necroposting! You *do* know that negative influence has the same effect with regards to conversation choices, don't you? This means that if you are roleplaying consequently to your character, you should get most of the story, regardless of your chosen side. "Consequently", being the keyword here. If you flip flap, the NPCs will assume you're just a jerk and ignore you. It's supposed to depict your character's ability to "break" the will of NPCs, all along the lines of your supposedly uncanny leadership ability.

Err... yes. And if it is one of those piece of sh1t integrated video arrays, as they used to put in older models, chances are you'll be screwed as far as compatibility goes. I had a Thinkpad (more like Stupidpad) too, and it was unable to run anything DirectX-based.

Yes, Starforce is totally unbeatable. Except VMBL used it, and like a week after its release, there was a tool to neutralize or plain mislead the SF protection. I know because I used it. )
