  1. It would need to be a really big wooden cross. You see, a wooden stake used for that purpose has a "T" conceal rating, which means you can only conceal it if you are wearing a trenchcoat. I don't think your crucifix will do. " Not to mention that wooden crosses aren't usually sharp. I guess that would raise the difficulty too, making it next to impossible since the difficulty is already 9 by default. You need to cause 3 damage levels in that attack for the staking to succeed. Go figure. Really, staking vampires, while stylish, is not very feasible in a combat situation.
  2. Well, when is a good time to get together and discuss this?
  3. Yes, that's not how it usually goes in PnP. But at any rate, I assume he meant he'll try that next session. It's good to know.
  4. A stake you obtain from... where? Don't tell me that you always carry a supply "just in case". And it's not exactly an automatic action, either.
  5. Also, Eru, I made a mistake last session. I told you that it costs [5x current rating] xp to raise a discipline, but I didn't know you were Caitiff. For Caitiff it's 6x.
  6. In that plan you are assuming that both Jags and I will either help you or at the very least stay neutral, which I assure you, I'm not going to. And, have any of you realized how much this stinks of a spectre game? You do know what the deal with spectres is, don't you? And all for what? A sword that will most likely vanish as soon as it's fulfilled its purpose? Your mistrust of the Giovanni? I have read the log, and I fail to see a single reason why we should side with them ghosties. They aren't even sure they can fix the hunters for good. Anyway, I still think we'll have to get together sometime this week and discuss the issue.
  7. Tremere were never supposed to be more than NPCs? Wow, that's news. " And for the record, Tremere did have an antitribu bloodline. But at any rate, siding with wraiths (or even spectres) rather than vampires is not what I would call a very solid course of action. We could try asking the Kuei-Jin or even the Lupines for help, too. How about the Mages?
  8. I suggest you review the mechanics of True Faith. And you are going to need more than "powerful weapons" to deal with an Elder. Seriously, how many times have you succeeded at something like this in a PnP session? You can't quickload here, you know. EDIT: Thanks, Kaftan.
  9. If I was playing any other Clan, I wouldn't have a problem with your plan. But the Giovanni are first and foremost devoted to the family. Basically, they are loyal to nothing else. They are one of the few Clans (if not the only one) that have no antitribus, no dissidents, no defectors. There's no way I'm going to roleplay betraying an Elder or allowing you to betray him simply because that would weaken the Clan's position in the big picture. And, at any rate, do you really think a handful of fledgelings can take on an Elder and his retainers, in his own lair? Are you out of your minds?
  10. Are you sure you want to try that? Introducing that kind of forced disagreements in the group is never the best way to conduct a RP session and I assure you that if you did that, I wouldn't stop until I had had my revenge. Do you really want this chronicle to end in Angelo's fangs? Honestly, that's not a very smart plan.
  11. I don't like where this is going. Surely you don't expect me to help you murder an Elder OF MY OWN FAMILY, do you? And it's not very smart to trust wraiths (assuming its a wraith you made a pact with), mind you. At least with vampires you know what to expect. But whatever. We'll have to get together sometime this week to think what are we going to do, so we don't waste friday's session with that.
  12. - "What do you mean a Sith Lord would never say '101101000101101110101101001010'?" - "He wouldn't." - "Well, fine. How about '110001011010101110010101101101010'?" - "Nope." - "Aw, drat."
  13. You know, there was this huge thread about permadeath, a long time ago. Featuring Hades_One, GoA, and myself, among a few others. I still cringe when I remember it. You could go dig it up if you're feeling like maiming your brain a little bit. It should still be in the K2 general. I take absolutely no responsibility for any permanent or temporal brain damage you may suffer while performing such high risk forum diving. "

  15. I don't think I have watched that particular episode. Nor do I think I want to.
  16. Guess what, there's the same problem with Spanish. Spanish is Castilian about as much as American is English... "
  17. Well, after all, what good are 50 different Force powers if you can't have all of them at the same time? "
  18. Uh... not to be nitpicking here or anything, but there's no reason why lasers can't work in a vacuum. They just aren't visible, but work just the same. In contrast, they didn't use lasers in ST, they had "phasers". "
  19. Oh, that. Yeah, well. I wasn't very happy about their butchering the d20 ruleset for... some purpose. That's why I think they should go for a new ruleset next time, one that is specifically tailored to suit the game's needs. One that will not throw the game balance out the window just to satisfy raving fanboys demanding more levels, etc. One that doesn't treat development in the Force as a puzzle. One that will allow for challenging gameplay without making each and every battle an odissey, you know, an adequate ruleset.
  20. So, um. You spell it "Pittsberg" to cope with that pronunciation? "
  21. Well, I think it's safe to say that I have absolutely no clue about what you are talking about.
  22. Realistic? You do realize this is SW, don't you? But yeah, a skill-based system could be a nice change.
  23. Overrated: moderation. Underrated: trolling.
  24. Did I mention a brand-new ruleset? "
  25. Oh. Well, I didn't play TTT. But if it was half as time consuming (and silly) as Tekken Ball...
