Other than higher quality versions of the movies? Well... nothing. There's also the high quality music patch, but that's an independent download.

Now you are finally beginning to understand. I prefer the US as my allies because they suit my purposes better. Having weak allies helps nobody. And while perhaps you don't seem to care about the fact that your way of life could be in jeopardy, other people do. But that requires that you keep your feet on the ground, so it's no wonder. Sorry kid, but that's how the world works. Nobody said it was supposed to be beautiful.
-
Do I? Read again. I am only debating the necessity of the armed forces. And, at any rate, if I have to choose between the US and some other European country (let alone a country from elsewhere) to have as an ally, I will choose the US, everytime. Why? Because they are the dominant power. Which means that the chances of my lifestyle being preserved with them on my side are far greater than the alternative. That doesn't mean I blindly support the US, but I know that such subtle differences are difficult for you to take in. I'll just quote Meta, in response to that:
-
Then you will always be a brainless puppet, in the hands of those who feed you the lies you want to believe. I, myself prefer nothing but the truth.

Note the terms "bozo" and "propaganda". I don't like to discard any opinions based simply on political inclination, but I do react strongly against propaganda (as in bending reality to accomodate one's agenda), regardless of the colour. Considering how the Left and Right are in the US, I'd probably be considered left-wing too, even though I'm supposedly right-wing over here. I won't get into what reasons could be enough for a soldier to refuse to fight. That's a can of worms I'd rather not open.
-
When you get a grasp of the motives and circumstances of the real world, and become able to discuss in a manner that doesn't involve spewing the oversimplified propaganda that some left-wing bozo has spoonfed you, perhaps your discourse will resemble that of an adult. There may be hope for you yet.

No, it can't be. Telos was bombed, but what you see in the video is Citadel Station being destroyed. Citadel Station was built to repair the damage done by the first bombing, so it can't be the original attack. Probably they just grabbed all the videos they had for K2 and packed them for the patch without even checking if they had been used in the game or not...

Trying to have BW understand the workings of the real world is like having an infant solve differential equations.
-
The realization of the scope of my ignorance made me bookmark it.
-
Yet another comment with little to no connection to reality. Frappr!
-
International consequences? Um... what are you on? Russia is in no state to get involved in open warfare. They would oppose, but nothing else. And you are disregarding the most important factor why the US hasn't invaded China yet - the economic backfire. Just shows how connected to reality you are.
-
Um, no. Facts somewhat disprove what you are saying, even disregarding the trite exaggeration you introduced for the purpose of making a straw man.
-
That effectively prevents a group of people from acting as a cohesive fighting force. The army isn't a democracy, and with good reason. Again, let's deal with reality, not with some oneiric world of yours.
-
So, a war unauthorized by the UN is wrong, but one authorized by it is "right"? WOW, considering that the UN is nothing but a farce, a lobby for the powerful to push their agendas forward, I must say that your view on what is "right" and what is "wrong" is somewhat random, and definitely lacking the moral high ground you seem to believe you step on. Proof that the US are taking Iraq's oil? A world without violence is a utopia. Now get back to the real world, and provide real world solutions, if you can.

You might want to check your figures.

While I understand it's trendy to compare Bush to Hitler, it's neither a realistic nor a smart thing to do. And, just for the record, the German military didn't follow Hitler "blindly". There were several attempts on his life, some of them arguably orchestrated by the military. It actually saddens me to see people arguing from such ignorant stances, considering that it were those people who forged the society you live so well off today. Ah, the irony. Again, if you can come up with a better alternative to military forces that is feasible, then please, by all means, share it with the rest of the world. Edited for stuff.
-
Please tell me you are not providing Al-Jazeera links as actually reliable and unbiased sources? Because if you are, it would seriously undermine your already lacking credibility.
-
Demagogy at its finest, to be sure. Let's begin with the lesson. The military is there not just to "kill" people. It's there to deal with national emergencies, lend humanitarian aid, and a lot of other things that you conveniently choose to ignore for the sake of your little tendencious rant. For those schoolteachers, nurses and farmers to do their thing, there must be somebody that provides the basic conditions of security and stability. Guess who those people are - the soldiers! In case you have forgotten to read your history books, time has proven that nations without a military are nothing but prey to the frequent outbursts of collective violence that mankind is so prone to. So far, there isn't a reliable way to prevent these outbursts, so the military will have to do for the time being. The threat of military force is the only thing that maintains the comfortable society you live off from those who would see it burn. A society that was built, largely, by means of military force. If you'd prefer to go live in a cave, be my guest. But you won't for it's so much better to play Marx from your comfy chair in front of your computer. Last, but not least, the military are responsible for safeguarding those freedoms you price so much, that were paid for in blood. And I'm not talking about outside threats, here. Thus concludes our lesson in "World and Historical facts applied to everyday life"! See you next sunday!

Yeah, so? Do you expect life conditions to improve magically after Saddam's regime was dismantled? It's going to take a long time for their country to rebuild, but that link only proves how badly things were thanks to Saddam. Boy, what a wonderful way of destroying one's own arguments! EDIT: Heh, I misread your post. I thought you were referring to the time that data was collected, rather than the time when the sanctions had been imposed. But Flatus beat me to it.
-
But it doesn't make much sense to put in a movie in the patch that wasn't in the original game... does it? Well, at least we know they intented for Telos to be destroyed at some point, it would have been neat to have that option.
-
Well, I could write some long-winded and well-thought post about why the military is necessary and how the people that make it up are worthy of admiration, but apparently ol' Commie is already giving you hell. Only thing I'd like to add is that it's my firm belief that most of you taking shots at Hooah and the military in general wouldn't have the balls to do what he is doing.

Proof, please. That kinda proves how little you know about fascism. Please stop being so openly ignorant. Also, while it's nice and all that you are trying to disregard the obvious retrogradation of the Japanese culture (take, for instance, the role of women in their society) by attempting to make distinctions based on the political outlook of the individual Japanese, the fact that their society, their art, and their history prove what Lyric is saying remains. So, whatever.
-
That was so cliche. If you can't come up with something witty to say, when you are so blatantly attempting to be witty, just shut up, and save yourself the embarassment. At any rate, I agree with Lyric. The whole asian culture stuff is overrated, with the possible exception of India and maybe China. 0 jap games here.

Not really. Getting flamed is just a side effect. The fact that the people getting pissed are regulars is irrelevant. The fact that some attitudes are annoying, on the other hand, is not.
