  1. It's just a matter of words, really. You see, the word "intelligence" was made up to describe a trait possessed by the human species, not found in any other lifeform we have encountered thus far. So, by definition, a human being is intelligent. And about the topic, I agree 100% with Walsh.
  2. Yeah, I guess the idea of having all the fans he had trained to frantically be up-to-date purchase a new series of books didn't really set him back, either. That's ok I guess, everyone has to make a living. Yep, I agree with that. It was a real mess. But then again, what is "canon" and what is not doesn't really matter to me, unless it substracts from immersion. Therefore, I'll keep playing VtM for the time being. The Requiem books rank really low in my priorities list.
  3. Biker Mice From Mars. The Mega Man series.
  4. Um, sure. I know firsthand the effects of posting while drunk. And pay no mind to my "bile". You know I just mean to provoke those very outbursts...
  5. Of course I would care if there was a terrorist attack on Danish soil. You should have gathered as much by now. It's an important part of morality to stand up for what is wrong, regardless of whom those wrongs affect. Funny how you get all hot and bothered about Iraq being occupied, but you don't care about civvies being blown to pieces in terrorist attacks. Funny. That's funny, too, as the UN is nothing but a lobby, where those who have the power gather to put the pressure on those who don't, under a veil of diplomacy and concordia. Sorry to break it to you, but the UN are a farce, pal.
  6. Actually, you did: Man, I might not be able to distinguish between Danish and Dutch, but at least I do remember what I wrote 2 posts ago.
  7. No, I have no problem with people having different opinions, as long as they are able to back them up. Newsflash: "Bite Me" isn't worth jack as an argument. With Hades is different as I don't really care about his stance, I just point out to the fundamental flaw in his approach. I'm arguing from a factual perspective with him. With you, however, it's different. You don't care if innocent people are slaughtered, as long as they don't make a mess in your backyard. That is morally wrong. It's an interesting contradiction, as you accuse others of the same hipocrisy you can be faulted with. You see, I argue. Like mommy and daddy, does that ring a bell? You, on the other hand, "can't be bothered", and throw out preteen retorts. Keep it up, "man".
  8. Right. Danish. Blame it on the lack of sleep.
  9. Indeed. Unfortunately, few people realize that, and prefer to picture the US as The Evil Empire, or in the other extreme, the last stalwart of freedom and democracy. How comfortable it is to see the world in black and white.
  10. Perhaps. Or perhaps not. Nobody really knows. However, that has nothing to do with the US protecting their interests. And that is what this was about.
  11. Right. And what does that have to do with anything?
  12. And that is what hegemonic powers need to do in order to stay in power. You keep going on about your autarchic ideas, and I'll keep remarking that autarchy doesn't work. Everyone's happy.
  13. Thanks guys, now I feel all warm and fuzzy inside... :">
  14. But I wasn't being a jerk!
  15. Yeah. An unnecessary rebuild, too. You don't need to take into consideration for your campaign that in book X of the Demon spinoff, it's stated that Lucifer is actually loose in NY, or that some crazy ass wizard blew up a nuke in the netherworld and started the end of all things in one of the Mage plots. You take what you like, and disregard the rest. It's not like the Bible, ffs. Just some more proof of the C.R.E.A.M. factor.
  16. I'd like to see your evidence for this, if it's not asking too much. I'd like to know why we didn't see any of it in the OT, and we had to wait for certain EU material to appear to know of the "Sith", as well.
  17. Yep. There's no real arguing with BW. It's more like just telling him the facts he should have researched before even getting into the discussion. Oh well. Arrogant? Most certainly. However, you fail to understand that it's precisely the arrogance of the dominating power of the moment (be it the US or the Roman Empire) that insures the stability you live so well off. I guess unintentional hypocrisy isn't completely to blame on the hypocrite, but it's hypocrisy all the same. I'm not sure what you mean by this statement, but I'm going to grant you the benefit of doubt and assume you are referring to the supposedly adverse effect that taking an active role in the ME has in terrorism. If that is what you mean, then you are just wrong. Because the alternative is assuming you mean that if terrorists don't bother you, you don't bother 'em, in which case you would be not only a dummy, but a yellow-bellied coward as well.
  18. Uh, no. You might think that since we have teh internets and crustless bread, we live in more enlightened times, but that's just wishful thinking. In the end, in international politics it always comes down to power, military and economic power. And sometimes, to keep that power, one must use it. It has always been like that, and for as long as there are different nations, that's the way it will be.
  19. Taking antibiotics without prescription is a bad idea. Chances are you won't get the dose right, in which case they will either do nothing, or do too much, which can be even worse. Maybe you don't even need antibiotics at all. If you can't stand the pain, get to the doctor. It's the smart thing to do.
  20. Oh, yeah. This one definitely has potential.
