UPDATE: Patch 1.0.2 Submitted
Longshot11 replied to Flounder's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
In one thread, Stormbringer mentioned that only Legendary Difficulty could be replayed for Gold, while currently (pre-patch) this is not the case. So probably that. -
Elven Chain Shirt Bug
Longshot11 replied to DevoDog's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Well, to be honest, for me (as someone familiar with the card game) it's much more convenient to see the revealed card up with all the others affecting the check. I suspect new players wll also come around to it, but ceratinly a bullet-pointed section in the Rules, or better yet - in the Tutorial, will be welcome, with all the possible actions for playing a card (Reveal Recharge, Bury, Dispaly, etc...) -
Elven Chain Shirt Bug
Longshot11 replied to DevoDog's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Wrong. It says "reveal", not display - reveal is instantaneous action and the card immediately goes right back into your hand. I can understand how you've been mislead by the UI though, as 'revealed' card (exactly like 'displayed' cards) visibly leave your hand and stay beneath the encountered card, until your check is over (but for all intents and purposes you should imagine them going back into your 'hand' the moment you press that 'Reveal' button. Take another example, if you will: Amiri can Reveal a Weapon for her combat check (the weapon goes beneath the monster, visibly 'out' of her hand) , but then she can activate her Berserker Rage power by burying that same weapon (even though it doesn't appear in its normal 'hand' space on the bottom of the screen. -
I have PM'd you a link to the save game file. Also, you know that other bug people report where the get 0 gold on Reward? Well, it happened to me when the game froze, and also 4-5 more times when I tried to enter the same party. Today, however, I entered the bugged party again and it showed me that I get 150 Gold - when I entered the Options menu however, the amount of my Gold hasn't changed (and the Chest and Coins buttons were non-responsive, if it matters). Oddly enough, I had the game show me 0 Gold reward for other scenarios (not the one that froze) but when I got to the shop - my gold had always updated correctly. It's really strange that now I have the exact opposite bug with the bugged party...

Ring of protection
Longshot11 replied to icdumppl's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
The text on the ROP states "You may play another item on this check", so yeah, that's intended (if you have two ROPs, you can prevent 2 damage only with reveals). My bad, I read that you CAN use both of them, while you say you can't - yeah, that's a bug. -
Two Bugs I found
Longshot11 replied to Skylinefranc's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I feel you. I hated it when they FAQed the definition of 'you ' to 'evryone that might try that thing' for the xact same reasons you point out. And, yes, while I understand their resoning for this approach for the physical game, I too believe the app could use some text update for clarity. After all, Obsidian has already updated the wording of some of the cards so they're clearer for non-board game players. -
Future adventure contents error
Longshot11 replied to haloa92's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I had a response from one of the Devs that this is a minor UI issue that will be rectified as the adventures are being released. On a similar note - is anyone else only having 4 Blessings of Lamashtu in their AD1 deck? -
Yes, the first 3 cards were OK. In the interest of fairness - later, while I played, I stumbled across a Treasure weapon, Quarterstaff +1, that I know for a fact I didn't have before. So I guess it was much ado about nothing, and I did actually get my fourth card, regardless that I didn't open it. My apologies for that. However, I still stand by my opinion, that a player cannot be expected to look through a list of 1000 cards just to see if they actually got something and what. This will be even more egregious as we accumulate more instances of the same Treasures - I would never have noticed that I got my card if it was for example my 4th Blacksmith, instead of a unique card I have never seen before.

Typo- Fortified Leather Armor
Longshot11 replied to Wode79's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Just so I don't start a new tread for a typo, I'll add here: At start of 2-3 Trouble beneath Sandpoint, Father Zantus says: "This more dire than I expected" - an 'is' is direly missing in this sentence. -
Pop quiz, what is the common thing in these threads: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/86547-help-i%C2%B4m-stuck/ https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/86554-stuck-at-second-mission-and-second-adventure/ https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/86513-gamebreaking-victory-screen-bug-game-messed/ Answer: all of them identify the "foreever frozen on the Rewards screen" bug as occuring in Scenario 1-2, Local Heroes. Yeah, it happened to me to today too (on Heroic difficulty; I previously completed the scenario on Normal with different heroes, but with the same Party profile). As between the 3 difficulties I run and upgrade all 11 heroes within the same party, I am in no way interested in deleting the party and restarting from scrach, but I think there's plenty of evidence that this issue may be local to (ha-ha) Local Heroes. So can you guys please look into it and give us a better option than deleting progress (which wouldn't even be all that bad if we had any guarantees that, you know, it won;t happen again when we get to 1-2)

I just found out a couple of issues with Speed /STrength that I'll ad here in case they're somehow relate to your issue: I had a hero without weapon in combat, with Amulet of Mighty Fists, and another hero with Strength spell. I cast the Strength first and then it won't allow the first hero to use the Amulet. However, when a canceled, I was perfectly able to use the AMulet first and then the Strength spell. Also, similar case with Speed and Poog of Zarongel. If I play Speed first, and the Poog (for his +3 Bonus) - Poog negates all check bonuses before that (Speed and the Ranged skill bonus); however, if I play Poog first - I then have no trouble applying Speed on top of it. I also had one or two cases (before I started to keep track) with those two spells where I was able/not able to cast them off-turm purely based on the order in which I played them and other cards (weapons, bonus item, allies...) - so it leads me to believe there's something wonky specifically with the timing of these two spells.

Bugs with Goblin Warchanter
Longshot11 replied to Sbodd's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Have you tried (preferably, slowly) dragging a card from your discard list to the little 'dirt pile' icon in the lower left? I've seen players who expect that by tapping the card it will go into the Bury pile, but that's not how it works. -
What is this button?
Longshot11 replied to hornsfan01's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
As a minor note - when I observe new players playing, it would appear the visibility of the Cancel / Done (blue arrow) button is not great, especially on some location background. I've see players who discarded 1 card pre-combat to a Goblin Commando, and then they expect to continue with combat, but instead think the game has frozen , never noticing the confirmation arrow. This is ust one example. -
Actually, I know people who play by having their recharged cards visible (unless they shuffle their decks, of course), and there's evidence at the Paizo forums that even more people play by leaving any examined location cards face-up. The reason is exactly because not everyone sees this as a game of memory (and it shouldn't be, in my personal opinion), but rather as a game of strategy. Not everyone has a great memory, and it would have the same effect if player just write down on a piece of paper what thew examined/recharge, but this seems needlessly aggravating, especially with an app. In a multy-player game, there's plenty of interaction around the table - conversations, etc..- and it's easy to sometime lose track of what was seen where, which - this being a co-op game- shouldn't be penalized (again, in my opinion). And of gourse, this being an app, it could simply be integrated as an option, to be toggled ON or OFF, at player's preference.

Hmm, I see where he is coming from though, when opening a chest the text at the top of the screen clearly states that all cards will be added to the vault. It doesn't say "when the challenge level becomes available". Oh, definitely. I myself got plenty confused and the screens look basically identical. The distinction could definitely be better communicated.

"Bugs" I have encountered
Longshot11 replied to Kgk4569's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I'm not saying this is a bad idea, but the game is not currently supported for phones. I'm sure they'll address the text size issue when/if the game officially adds phone support. -
The OP's issue seems to be different, as he reports he's missing some Blacksmiths (which are Adventure Deck B, and as such shoud be visible at all times). You however seem to be making the (pretty honest and UI-is-to-blame) mistake of mixing up the Vault and Gallery screens. The Vault is the virtual 'box of cards' for your currently selected party, and cards are added to that box only when you begin the adventure with corresponding number. So, for example, if your party is in the middle of Burnt Offerings, you should only see in the Vault cards with Adventure Deck numbers 1, B & C. All higher-deck Tresures you have unlocked will be added to the Vault when you start the appropriate adventure. As you have discovered yourself, Gallery is the screen where you can really see ALL cards associated with your account. They're for information purposes only, however, and may or may not be available to your characters depending on the current adventure deck number.

^ Most of these are great suggestions, and the rest are just good. I'll also add a list of my preferred optimizations: Home Screen button in the Store – it's absurd having to cycle through several Loading Screens just to quit the game or browse the Gallery cards 'rarity' is badly (I.e not at all) communicated, as well as the conditions from unlocking them. Initially, I was going from the MTG labeling of Common, Uncommon, Rare, and I expected that the 'guaranteed' Rare card from a chest is one of the golden-framed cards. I suppose you have another termonology going on (Common, Rare, Legedary?) but it's not like I can read about it somewhere; maybe add some info in Rules (although that's too obscure) , as well as what 'Treasure cards' mean exactly, as these are only mentioned as a toggle button. Also, from what I can discern from the Samisen, the 'black frame' cards are awarded when specific conditions are met – it would be nice when the empty card is selected in Gallery, to have some small text box beneath it that describes the requirements when Temporary Closing, you already have a global 'Finished Closing” button. If I enter a location with a character and cancel the temporary close attempt – it should bring me back to the screen with all location, without forfeiting my Temp Close opportunity altogether. Since you don't show character hands in the Temp Close screen, my only opportunity to see the available resources it to try to Temp Close with one of the charcters (and browse all the hands at this time), but this character may turn out not to be the best choice in the situation; it kinds feels unfair to be penalized for knowledge which is readily available on a physical table. Implement the same screen for the Character Deck, as for the Location Decks – where a player can see on the bottom the cards he recharged in the appropriate order; furthermore, when you (hopefully) get to adapting Skulls & Shackles, you'll also need to be able to show the top card a player's deck (due to characters like Alahazra) ; this also helps for Allies like Ilsoari Gandethus and Eagle (which are put on top of deck) You already have icons for Villain and Henchmen (as seen in the Gallery) – it would be covenient if, when a player encounters/scouts them in a deck the location card count icon “?” gets updated to the appropriate type (also, for blessing shuffled through an Escaping Villain – if the full standard count of blessings is encountered, and then another blessing is scouted/evaded – the '?” should turn into a blessing icon)

You may check out through the last couple of pages of the forum - turns out this is an Eastern egg from the devs (pretty cool, I must admit). Since the scenario says "if anyone encounters the Skinsaw Man you can't play Alder Foxglove for the rest of the scenario" - they replace the useless ally with a Loot. I didn't know he disappears permanently however. In the card game, he's still a perfectly valid card to carry in your deck (though he can only be banished for its effects). But maybe the devs decided to remove him from the rest of the game for flavor reason (you might've figured it out, but Aldern is, in fact, the Skinsaw Man after all), in which case it makes sense not to see him in the Vault (though it should still be viewable in the Gallery and available for new parties)

Three potential bugs
Longshot11 replied to fieryseraph's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Look closely at the card - it says that if any d6 rolled on the check rolls 1 - it gets discarded (even if you initially only revealed it); on the up side each di6 rolled as 1 counts as 3. -
Reward Cards disappearing
Longshot11 replied to Elaborigen's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
This reason may be a conscious design decision, but it deserves to be called a 'bug' nevertheless.
