  1. Kurt Warner announced his retirement. I know he doesn't have the long career, but I see him as a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame. Three Superbowl appearances, and in every one of them he played fantastic.
  2. There, fixed it for you... Which is theft, what is your point? Nightshape, by the way, is a person who works on games. When the people creating the games tell you piracy is theft, that would seem to be a fairly authoritative person on the matter. It isn't a complicated scenario. If you want games to exist, you need to pay for them. There are costs involved that need to be covered somehow. Every time someone pirates a game, they are ignoring the fact that someone spent years on that software and deserves to be compensated for their effort.
  3. http://www.terra-arcanum.com/ has everything you need.

I don't think it is as popular in the States, and that probably makes the advertising bucks harder to pull in. Plus it seems like a fairly expensive show to produce.
  5. The two are not mutually exclusive.
  6. The high res mod for Arcanum is awesome and really makes the game look very good.
  7. Ah, I see, the ole' two wrongs make a right argument. Well played.

I love this show. It's silly, but it just has a great mix of geekiness, good music, beautiful women, and just enough action to make it very entertaining.
  9. I've always been rather relaxed on the DRM issues, I never cared much about limited activations and all that, but even I think having to be online at all times for a single player game is ridiculous. That's why I'd like to here a stronger confirmation than that FAQ.
  10. So you are calling the President a punk, and complaining about anti-Americanism in other threads? He is the President of the United States. You can disagree with his policies while still being respectful of the office and our country.
  11. Not purchasing a game in protest = Fine and dandy Pirating a game in protest = dumb True story, you can survive your entire life without playing games.
  12. I'd imagine following the Cerebrus line of quests would also be important for ME2.
  13. I'm walking! I started last night, it's nice to be off the crutches. I go to get X-Rays next Wednesday, so technically I'm not really supposed to walk, but it has been 5 1/2 weeks and my leg feels great. I'm slow, my ankle and knee are stiff, but it's wonderful to have my hands free to carry stuff again. First thing I did was rearrange my classroom.
  14. Am I the only one who thought there were a couple cool planets out there? I was quite often impressed by the views from my Mako. I also wasn't on the planets long enough to get too tired of them. And there were space monkeys.
  15. Again, when you read the entire quote, it is very apparent that she was only talking about Mao being willing to create his own destiny despite the odds being stacked against him. You are just making stuff up if you take anything else from it.
  16. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_obit_salinger JD Salinger passed away today. The Catcher in the Rye is a favorite of mine, and I as always amazed at how it continues to sell year after year. I'm actually a little excited to hear this, I mean I'm sad for the guy, but now we might get to see all those books he has been writing in seclusion for the last 50 years.
  17. Ridiculous. Games cost money to develop. Then they are offered for sale. Not paying for them is stealing. How exactly do you expect developers to track who pirates instead of buying a game? Should they take a poll? Just because something is difficult to monitor does not mean it does not exist.
  18. The quote in its entirety: So basically she is quoting Mao to make a point about not giving up no matter the odds. She is clearly promoting communism.
  19. I'm just surprised how willing people are to throw someone under the bus. I prefer to give her the benefit of the doubt and ask her to explain further (granted her explanation of it being ironic was weak, but supposedly she borrowed the quote from Republican strategist Lee Atwater.) Don't you see what a witch hunt this is? She says something negatively about Fox News and suddenly this quote pops up and every conservative news site is calling her a Maoist.
  20. It amazes me how many people mention piracy as a solution to DRM. You do not actually need to play these games. This whole sense of entitlement people carry around is really sad.
  21. I'm not sure why Mariah Carey would be considered a talentless singer. She can hit some pretty amazing notes on a regular basis. I would agree with the crazy drunk boob singer moniker though.
  22. A bunch of us are saying the same thing and Wrath isn't getting it, so I'm going to let it rest. It's probably a language barrier issue, I remember that English is not Wrath's first language.
  23. Phew. It's terrible, but I didn't want to say that if it was some sort of therapy you were going through.
  24. That's called Fallout Tactics. Except they totally ****ed up pretty much everything in Fallout: Tactics. Missions are way too long, lorewise the game is annoying. Your charachters have no personality etc.. I enjoyed Tactics, but it was a far cry from JA2. The character personalities was probably the biggest crime, but the horrid inventory was probably a close second.
