  1. I didn't back DOS, so nah right back at you. They are fairly different games. It is pretty clear that Larian Studios is more experienced, and their game is incredibly deep. Shadowrun shines in the way they captured the setting, the story, and the characters. The gameplay is fairly shallow, and you can tell that it is a fairly inexperienced team making the game. They made a lot of improvements for Dragonfall, showing growth.
  2. Origin isn't up to the task because EA is EA is not much of an argument. Honestly I dont really think Origin is better, I just think refusing one over the other is ridiculous. They are peas of the same pod.
  3. Oh, that's just because you aren't a part of this community. Most that do post here have been talking for years and use these types of threads instead of Twitter or other social media. For example, I had no interest in the new Spider-Man films, but after a few people here whose interests I commonly share posted what a enjoyable movie series it is turning into, I got on board. Now you don't tend to see a lot of exposition and discussion about newer movies because no one wants to spoil them and many don't get to watch until after they are out of theaters, so this thread doesn't have the same depth as many others. When a really good movie comes out, this thread livens up a bit. But honestly Bester you are better off sticking to your anti-kickstarter caricature. You've scored some real gems about the follies of crowd funding and your voice is a good counterweight to all the folks that look at them through rose-tinted glasses. It doesn't really fit in with the close community threads you find in the WoT section, and I imagine most people will simply ignore them from here on out.
  4. Sweet, I've been meaning to run through Dragonfall again somewhere down the line. I need to decide if I'll run through once beforehand or just wait. Run through it now, it's amazing, not overly long, and you will have no trouble playing it a second time close together. This news makes me happy. This is still the best kickstarter project I've backed at this point.
  5. Hah, it's better than Steam
  6. Jim Harbaugh is in pretty good shape, he still goes out and throws balls to receivers, so he'd probably handle it.
  7. Wow, Kristen Bell is a dead ringer for Julie Andrews.
  8. Even Malc is gushing.
  9. Peggle has devoured my life, somehow. One more level.
  10. I'm interested in this one when it makes it to the PC.
  11. Teleport is pretty dang powerful for me. So I get to move someone away from me, do a bunch of damage in the process, and drop him on another enemy, doing even more damage? Thank you.
  12. Really sorry to hear that Woldan. My daughter sat through a CAT scan a couple years ago perfectly. Each kid is really just different. My daughter is quick to anger, quick to move on. My son is very mellow, but when he gets in a mood, he's a stubborn mule.
  13. The whole quote was "In me and my girlfriends co-op game I'm playing a rogue-like character, and from a pure single target damage perspective, that character is the top in most fights." So I'm assuming you are Spider's girlfriend, since you know who is the top damage dealer in all of his fights. Congrats, I think Spider is a real catch.
  14. So Logan, my 4-year old, is not a fan of getting x-rays. He's got this dent in his cheek and we were worried it might be broken, but he was having none of it. He seriously flipped out on the table, kicking, punching and screaming.
  15. Yeah, that skill point thing is a bit confusing. Easy isn't a cakewalk or anything in this game, enemies still use all their spells and abilities against you, you just don't go down quite as quickly and they go down faster to your attacks.
  16. It's not a crime to drop the difficulty to easy either.
  17. Our new addition:
  18. Combat Mission is a pretty old name. Honestly I'd say Company of Heroes is a closer comparison.
  19. Let me stop you there.
  20. Didn't you accuse someone a few posts back of wallowing in their own bigoted and arrogant view of games? Maybe you might wanna reflect on that a bit? Bethesda breaks my immersion every time I have to talk to an NPC using one of 5 recycled voices over and over again. But hey, that's life. There are enough redeeming qualities for me to ignore that for awhile in ES games. Some people find inventory management to be tedious and immersive breaking, but that's a big part of Divinity, and I'm enjoying the heck out of it.
  21. I saw this on Steam on special and I'm thinking about buying it as well ? Elder scrolls Online is pretty nice. Never understood why it got such bad reputation. It is exactly like a SP Elder scrolls games in terms of quests except there is also MP and the world is just really really huge. Is that a bad joke? Nah, ESO is exactly like the SP games, except you run into fellow adventurers that aren't your typical lifeless Bethesda NPC's. Back to Divinity, it's actually made me set ESO aside for a bit, I was up way too late last night solving mysteries.
  22. The Internship - Pretty funny love letter to Google. I think my enjoyment was enhanced since I live in the area and have friends who work there. Also pretty creative credits.
  23. http://youtu.be/aEGjBCNeJSM Weird Al's new album is killer. He's been releasing videos too. So far the Foil one is my favorite.
  24. The one I posted will be getting even more prison ink in her future.
