  1. I think it is pretty clear that we will never get a decent Jagged Alliance. There have been enough attempts.
  2. Huh, I know a number of people that have converted to Judaism, mostly because of a spouse. It is not a religion that actively proselytizes. Dang it, I try so hard not to engage in any of these crazy qistina discussions.
  3. I'm also enjoying a run of ESO. Very surprising how busy everything is.
  4. That has always been fairly close to the way I see it. Saying 'there is no God' seems as close minded as saying 'my God is the only real one.' Saying there is no evidence to support the existence of God, so I choose not to spend time on it' is perfectly reasonable, but far from what I see most atheists going on about.
  5. Wouldn't that be agnosticism, not atheism?
  6. I decided to crawl out of the airspace and finish up my mission, so I'm done with the junkyard and now robots are taking over the world, or something.
  7. Actually I'm not even sure what networks I'm watching anymore. I watch Bizarre Foods, Top Chef, anything with Anthony Bourdain, and some other random stuff. Now that I think on it, Travel Channel is probably the network I watch the most. edit: Back to the original point with Oerwinde, I watch those over an hour long drama because they are easy to walk away from.
  8. I was pretty satisfied by the way Channing Tatum went out. Despite seeing it come a mile away, it was worth the price of admission. I think I had a pretty good idea he would die that way as soon as I saw his name in the credits. But yeah, it's not my top Tarantino film. It's right in the middle of the pack for me.
  9. Yeah, but the food network is awesome. I get a lot of meal ideas from that stuff.
  10. You have to think about it almost like a horror movie. The expectation is that everyone is going to die, many of them in unfortunate ways.
  11. Yeah Narcos was fantastic, I can't wait for season 2. I've been watching Making a Murderer on Netflix and it is also great. More of a documentary, but very well put together.
  12. I wonder if they will go back to SPECIAL for Fallout 5? I mean, Bethesda has been known to correct a few mistakes over the years. They did make some positive changes from Oblivion to Skyrim. Probably best not to expect anything though.
  13. The world must be filled with angsty teenagers, because this movie is a monster hit in every way.
  14. I am a huge fan of Star Wars and the most recent movie, but some of you spend way too much time thinking about this stuff. Take it less seriously, it is space fantasy. You will enjoy it more.
  15. I think we all have our moments where we lose out temper with kids. Kids are basically **** when they are 4-5. Don't get too down on yourself about it. The nice thing is they will continue to get older, and even though it will bring new issues, it will also bring cool moments where you can connect with them. My daughter and I clash all the time, but she was still the one I took to see the new Star Wars and I think that will be with us both for a long time.
  16. It's not entirely that simple. First off, you are probably using the vents if you are a sneaky guy like me that wants to go into places I probably shouldn't. So just crawling out of any old vent is a good way to get killed. Also, the vent system I gave up in stretched across multiple maps. edit: I'm really not complaining all that much. I enjoyed the game and may give it another go with a different build and more knowledge.
  17. Well I'm sure I could have made my way out at some point, but it seemed like a fairly endless duct system, and I was in over my head. I'm ok with it, though.
  18. I got lost in a ventilation shaft system and gave up. It was pretty cool for awhile though.
  19. Gonna be a mellow one around here, I'm enjoying a Stone Ruination and I open ed a bottle of wine for my wife, and the kids are playing video games.
  20. That thread is awesome. We need to have a thread hall of fame somewhere. LoF is still by far the best of the trolls we've had here.
  21. Tbh. I lol'd at all three of them. tbh you are also dead inside.
  22. It's more about attention span. I just watched a 3 hour Tarantino film that was slow as heck, but I'm an adult, and I can handle that. A Star Wars movie as a rule needs to be accessible to a new generation, and you typically don't get that when your movies are super long. I'd argue that Lord of the Rings is aiming for an older audience, one that can read the fairly hefty books.
  23. Hateful 8 - It was a lot like Reservoir Dogs. It was very good, although not quite at the top of my Tarantino list (Django Unchained keeps that honor.)
  24. Well congrats for you people and your strong bladders. Seriously though, the film needs to appeal to a new generation. Making it 3 hours is a good way to lose that. I was fairly surprised that both my children stuck it out to the end, but you add another half hour and they might as well make it two movies.
  25. As a whole, I think this might be the greatest reboot of a classic franchise I have seen. Jagged Alliance failed, and while I enjoy Fallout a bit, it isn't anything close to the original. I have more confidence in XCom than anything else going forward.
