  1. Ah, it was Nonek that said you would think Codex would wear it like a badge. My apologies.
  2. They most likely wanted to send a cease and desist letter to him, given that they only asked for his name and email. Pretty standard stuff, really. As Grommie mentioned, you'd think the Codex would wear those like a badge of honor, instead of hiding under the desk when the mail arrives. But that is also why the Codex , like the vast majority of gaming sites, should never be taken seriously as journalists.
  3. Oddly enough, the only character I completed the game with was a Paladin. I am a fan of having a lot of abilities for my main character, it was the other 5 schlubs that gave me trouble.
  4. Well movie or book is much cheaper Not really, Sensuki pledged $20.
  5. It's just weird that people get so worked up over interviews. Do any other industries do this? It's hard to imagine people refusing to watch a movie or read a book because Entertainment Weekly didn't get an interview in. I don't pay for interviews, I pay for the game.
  6. Well, I suppose it is nice that they are giving refunds to people with petty complaints.
  7. Whoa...Zoraptor clearly wrote all the dialogue in this game.
  8. Probably good to have a Deus Ex thread though. I hate when I turn a corner to knock a guy out, and stumble over a cardboard box or bucket.
  9. I had no idea this website existed until this thread, but now I'm dying to visit it. Forbidden fruit!
  10. Rubio is still a pretty young guy, I imagine he will get another crack at it down the road.
  11. Yeah, I haven't used the cover system that way since the tutorial. I'm sure it has its uses, but there are so many other ways to get around situations.
  12. I read an interesting post about how difficult it must be for his wife of 25 years to have him pass away, but then to also have to deal with the Gene and Gilda stuff again. Definitely time to watch Willy Wonka, and maybe See No Evil, Hear No Evil.
  13. I wonder what how much Origin manages to sell of the games they don't publish? Like, why would you ever go there if it isn't for an EA title? They run some sales, but they usually aren't that crazy.
  14. In DX:MD I got to Golem City, and I loved the haphazard shipping container design. Then I got lost for a couple hours looking for a guy, and I started to hate it.
  15. The variety is impressive. Whoever they assigned to come up with all the different booze really embraced it. There must be 30 different types of alcohol in this game!
  16. I feel like handhelds are a dying breed, really. 10 years ago, half my students had handhelds. Now they all have phones or tablets, and maybe one has a handheld. That being said, I liked the Wii U controller and I don't mind that they are building on how that was used.
  17. Hmm, I can't speak to the ending yet, but this is still one of the better storytelling games out there. I don't know who to trust, I feel bad about certain choices I have to make, etc. Basically the tone is excellent and addicting, and whatever the ending is, I'm still going to look back on this game as a solid hit.
  18. The bible one sounds like an embellishment, only because it really caters to the audience that the secret service agent is writing for. But yeah, both these folks are pieces of work. Hillary treating people bad doesn't make Trump a better person, that's for sure.
  19. This stood out to me, and I was curious as to where it came from. Is it from Slate? Look, first off let me say that there is a lot I agree with you on here. I agree that rape of men is serious and has tragically been under reported and ignored for too long. I'm all for male rape getting the same attention that female rape gets, they are both reprehensible. I just don't see how heaping scorn on the concept of female rape does anything to help the victims of male rape.
  20. What study are you getting that from? The CDC says 1 in every 71 men has been in such a situation, while they put the female number around 20%. That's not even close.
  21. Voice acting that bad? It's hit and miss, but the real problem is the dialogue just drags, and the pacing is unnatural. Kind of like this, but with worse special effects. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7xI73JcV7I
  22. I recommend everyone enable subtitles and space bar through dialogue in Deus Ex as soon as possible.
  23. But that doesn't fit the narrative where all refugees are also rapists!
  24. If Lethal Weapon is good, it's pretty much guaranteed Fox will cancel it halfway through the season. It's nice to see Damon Wayans again though. The guy is 55! Never heard of the guy playing Riggs, but he seems decent.
  25. I haven't even noticed it, to be honest. Gorgon is right about the framerate though. This game is awesome 80% of the time and weirdly laggy the rest. Also my loading times are messed up.
