  1. It's really his first attempt at returning to the Xcom style of game since Dreamland Chronicles got shuttered mid-development. I think he's pretty aware of the legacy and expectations that come with that type of project, and so he stuck to smaller tactics based projects for the last decade. They haven't really been my cup of tea, but word is they were all pretty polished endeavors. I'm very excited to see how this turns out.
  2. It's also being developed by Julian Gallop, who was the guy behind the original Xcom, so he's got way more street cred than anyone else when it comes to making the next Xcom.
  3. I know all police departments in my area train and train and train for these types of events. They actually spend about half of their careers in training, so the idea he was unprepared for the shooting is pretty weak. They specifically have a plan for schools where they go in immediately without backup if necessary. That has been in place since Columbine. That being said, I don't like the idea that this should be a civil case. You boot him off the force and use it as a way to better train everyone else.
  4. I'm also happy to wait for them to polish it up quite a bit. that demo they showed looked cool but very rough.
  5. I hear it's a two-parter, so I'll probably just wait until it comes out on video so that I can watch it closer to them wrapping up the story.
  6. Been playing a bit of Elder Scrolls Online. The crafting in this game is still the best I've seen in an MMO, and Morrowind is really well designed. Hopefully I'll keep my interest up long enough for the Summerset expansion to hit.
  7. Pour some alcohol in you ear. Once it dries it takes the water with it. I think they have ear drops that do something similar too, I'll have to look into it.
  8. I keep getting water in my ear during my morning swim sessions. I hate wearing earplugs, so I need to find another solution other than just manically shaking my head up and down trying to get it to move.
  9. Strung up my hop vines today after our move. They seems to be in pretty good shape, hopefully I will get a decent harvest. Although I've lost track of which one is which variety. Hopefully my nose will be able to tell.
  10. The US is not going to attack Noth Korea if they give up nukes. I am pretty sure China would have something to say about that. Plus MASH has held up pretty well so we don't need a reboot. Ugh, I just realized we are rebooting everything. Boo is right, Netflix will attack North Korea and reboot MASH.
  11. Pablo Sandoval also pitched a perfect inning.
  12. We used to make that once a week too, but salmon prices are no joke.
  13. Went on my first 50 mile bike ride today. It was great, but I hit mile 40 and definitely started to drag. Plus I am not sure how people run a half marathon as afterwards, but I have a few months to figure it out.
  14. It's Oroweat for me, Potato or buttermilk. I can't imagine eating Wonderbread anymore.
  15. The real key there is that the definition has become broader. I still see plenty of kids going through my classroom that are undiagnosed though.
  16. I like that they think one person at a time means it won't become some sort of terrible sex closet.
  17. Patty Marleau tallied two goals, but it wasn't enough to keep the Leafs alive. He has 70 goals in the playoffs at this point, many of them huge. I know I am biased, but I think he has slowly worked his way into solid HoF contention.
  18. The good old days of public education. http://www.richmond.com/discover-richmond/happy-slaves-the-peculiar-story-of-three-virginia-school-textbooks/article_47e79d49-eac8-575d-ac9d-1c6fce52328f.html
  19. We already got System Shock when we got the new Prey. Which means we are just waiting for a decent game where Native American mythology clashed with alien invaders.
  20. You've got to admit it is a baller move to throw out links to ancient forum posts, though.
  21. I was dragging a bit during my prep period, but I decided to throw on my running shoes and hit the track. Students were doing 400's, so I decided to see how many I could keep pace with or pass during a little 5k workout. I ended up getting my personal best mile time of 6:20 and clocked a solid 23:11 for the 5k. I feel a lot better now.
