  1. It is true that most of the general talents are useless.
  2. Wasn't the biggest reason because Wotsc / Atari pushed for newer DnD games to be 3D only, and wouldn't license the DnD franchise for more 2D IE style games?
  3. Look, on Potd the whole game should be as hard as the lighthouse. The lighthouse shouldn't be the only thought provoking difficult encounter in the whole game. Ok there's a couple of others too, but you get my point.
  4. But my boreal dwarf wizard and priest are freaking OP, as are my wood elf arbalest paladins. OP lies.
  5. I remember in Sacred 2, one of the most amazing mods was disabling the attrocious combat music so that the beautiful normal music would carry on playing uniterrupted.
  6. An expansion is already guaranteed as it was a backer option, and Paradox have mentioned there will be a sequel. Paradox are a great company, they make and support lots of amazing games.
  7. I thought its per turn or day or something? If that's the case then in my next game I will rush to Caed Nua, and rest spam until the garden is built before doing anything else.
  8. Nope. Those people deserve the worst possible scorn.
  9. I remember when I made videos of DAO, I had a plethora of idiots commenting on my videos: Why are you always pausing every second? Why are you playing fully zoomed out like that? ... Proceed to reply / PM them the most abusive **** I can imagine such as telling them to go rape and impregnate their own mothers followed up by /delete their comment and ignore user. ... Then I get 'Your account is in good standing' and 'Heres a youtube partnership deal'. How I lol.
  10. Botanical Garden = unlimited pilgrims crowns so don't shy away from using up the ones you have. At first they are rare (only 4 before act 2), so save them to add fine to unique weapons. Try to get the botanical garden built first and then you will get lots.
  11. When I made my custom priest: Accuracy buff on Holy Radiance Interdiction +10 accuracy to two weapons Weakness on interdiction +10 accuracy on interdiction .... And Durance gets a feat wasted on bears fortitude? What were the devs smoking when they made that choice?
  12. I havnt tried these battles yet but if that's the case **** it. I throw all my fireballs and firewalls at my warriors and they never turn hostile.
  13. My wizards currently at level 8, but gets to cast 6 x level 1-3 spells, and 4 x level 4 spells per rest already. Those rings of extra spells casts. I found both <3.
  14. **** that Bears Fortitude on Durance. **** it **** **** ****. I don't understand why there needs to be so many trashy talents anyway.
  15. Dragon Age Origins was similar if you played in in top down camera view.
  16. Oh no not on a first play through. I did much rerolling for Potd. But its fun to fail over and over until you succeed.
  17. Id rather that they level up the mobs than reduce XP, but then you might call that scaling.
  18. What if the squishy wizard is doing nothing but standing behind the warriors who are smashing the opposition to a pulp? What if he's NOT EVEN IN THE ROOM? No - it needs refinement. Just targeting based on health/squishiness is clumsy. Except that doesn't happen. You want to kill the weakest target first in the majority of cases.
  19. The only problem with rolling a barb is choosing between 19 con and 19 int, or 20 con and 18 int. Barbarians need brains. Its totally apt that I roll a barbarian and he knows everything about engwithian ruins at the start of the game.
  20. Its not really cheesy. When you fight an AI mob, which one do you target first - the full played warrior swinging a sword or the squishy wizard in a robe throwing fireballs at your whole group? The AI does the same if it breaks past engagement.
  21. Its not about logic, its about game balance. Though I have no opposition to adding unlimited resting on easy. I would alter the levels as follows: Easy - unlimited resting Normal - 4 supplies Hard - 3 supplies Potd - 2 supplies. I've just finished the first two acts on Potd (respec itis) with a wizard and priest for my casters, and never once felt short on spells or limited in being able to cast. 2 supplies plus any that I find are more that enough per dungeon.
  22. I soloed BG2 on a plain Cleric with traps and locks removed via mods, the OP dual classes just add fun. The thing there was that it was easy to overlevel, and they had loads of solo easymode gear in the game like the shield that made you immune to beholder rays. But it always felt challenging.
