  1. Welcome Anubis! (I'm having a SG-1 moment here) Would you really like to play one of the supporting cast in the sequel? They have alot of history already so it would be somewhat confined - roleplaying wise - plus they would also be overpowered just like Revan or The Exile would. They would however be able to explain what actually happened at the end in TSL! Which would be nice I personally wouldn't prefer playing any of the companions of the two previous games. I would rather play either Revan's or The Exile's former apprentice (if we assume they had any).
  2. if that was you're only reason sure - but that wouldn't be very romantic would it? I mean, that's something you would do for someone you love - and it's a comfort to know that someone would be there for you. That's a romantic notion in itself I think.
  3. obviously that depends on the person, but I doubt that you're average 60+ year old would like being without love or romance for the rest of their lives. It seems lonely to die like a bachelor. Because I don't think the chick-of-the-week is gonna stick around when you get hospitalized and/or get's really ill.
  4. Gave up my Egypt campaign in TW Kingdoms Grand Mod. Now playing as England. Surrounded by enemies - Scotland, Ireland, Norway and France is out to get me.. thank God for the Longbows, otherwise I would've been chopped to pieces by now. I'm just playing a defence game so far. Which means the others are either close to or already excommunicated. And Richard The Lionheart just became King - so now things are gonna change! I'm gonna shove my pious boot up their collective behinds. Butt-kicking for goodness!
  5. you know.... oxymoron - sharp/dull ... being in the "I'm not in a group" group.. contradiction of terms.. It was a bad joke.. I have this thing for bad jokes.. I'm sorry..
  6. I have this things for oxymorons.. I'm sorry..
  7. Ups you're right, it wasn't my intention to drag you into the hypocrite group! sorry about that. They didn't push me into a group - I just happened to become friends with a bunch of different people, due to the fact that I tried alot of different educations at the time. I didn't feel like hanging out with a set of people exclusively, even more so since I was involved in a few local projects where I had to draw on the strengths of alot of different people from all aspects of society. Incidentally they didn't really have that much of a different outlook on romance.. They would go to concerts together (different music styles of course), they would party together - hang out in clubs or go to parks. They would give their sweethearts flowers - The hippies would either grow their own of pluck them and the Punks would steal them from the suburb gardens. Although they took different approaches to each set clich
  8. I had a fun period of my life were I got into 3 different groups at once.. the superficial-party-all-week-types (Pop), the we-feel-angry-at-the-established-system (wannabe punk/goth/emos) and the love-is-meant-to-shared-let's-all-put-flowers-in-our-hair ("modern" hippies who were trying to use the borrowed mentality to seem mature and responsible) - needless to say I experienced that each group was actually the same, but with a slighty different "language" and outfit/uniform. Sure the rethoric was different and the way they approached a situation was different, but in the end they were all doing the same. Belonging to a group, feeling like they were doing something with which they could feel better about themselves and trying to stay above the water in the storm that is social interaction. They all judged the other groups for being superficial and/or stupid/misguided. There was a clear hierarchy - who drank the most/who hated the most/who loved the most etc. I was of course part of the "I don't wanna be a part of a group" group. Which is even more pathetic than all of the others combined, but that's a different story. What I'm trying to say is that Samm is right on the mark with Look at the bigger picture before you start pointing fingers and you'll often find that; when you judge the other group, you are doing it out of sense of moral superiority - or a need to feel it. They are the same as you - in the end - same fears and same hopes. We all wanna be respected, heard, felt and loved. We just take a different approach based on childhood experience and personal preference. See, I told you the "I don't wanna be a part of a group" group were the biggest hypocrites.
  9. You haven't played it before?
  10. Rosbjerg tries to cast a spell, only to realize that he's not a mage.. He panics - but suddenly the fear seems to leave him - a friendly looking mage smiles at him. Then suddenly he feels a warming sensation and realizes that he concetrated way too hard before. He looks down - and panic again.
  11. Now I have to choose a new Avatar, otherwise people will be really dissapointed when they meet me. (I know - it's almost too easy to make a joke on that remark)
  12. Welcome to Stars Wars MMO: Ideas and Discussion part 1. As previously announced, Bioware and Lucasart will be making a MMO. The purpose of this thread is to have a place for all discussion and speculation relating to the future Star Wars MMO. For the the discussion about any potential single-player Kotor 3, please go here. If you want to make any suggestions to the game, you can also go to Bioware's own discussion thread.
  13. Yeah, the little time glass is greyed out and I chose "no limit" in "battle time", when I started the campaign. In the vanilla campaign I've had battles that lasted over an hour with that configuration. I always do that because I find it unbelievably annoying to loose a battle, that you're clearly winning, just because some artificial timer says so. But since this is a modded campaign and I hadn't really had big battles until that one, I didn't notice that the time could actually run out. There was no indication, no timer going down (except the one marking when you conquer the town/castle) and my units were all in good morale and I outnumbered the enemy by a comfortable margin.
  14. I like living in Scandinavia.. Although, truth be told - I was in Stockholm a few years back and stumbled into a bar, where both the girls and they guys looked like something taken out of a Romero horror film. Luckily it only required 10 meters of walking down the street for ol' Stockholm to get it's act together again.
  15. I just had the worst experience with Medieval Total War 2.. I'm playing Egypt on Very Hard/Very Hard in the Kingdoms Grand Campaign mod.. I'd just crushed Jerusalem and I was licking my wounds when Antioch decided to attack. I managed to repel them and made a counter attack on their main castle, Krak des Chevaliers. It was one of the most bloody battles I've ever played. I had about 2000 standard soldiers on my side and the enemy had about 1060 fulled upgraded heavy infantry and elite units. The battletimer was set to "no limit" and I was biding my time pounding their fortress and units to the ground with my trebuchets - rocks and diseased cows. The battle then ensued and at the end the enemy was reduced to 2% of their forces, I was down to 12% and the "capture the castle timer" was down to 2 sec. When all of a sudden I get a "close defeat". Apperantly the "no limit battles" means 30-40 minutes? (%@!&F
  16. Plus most of the biotic powers are like Jedi tricks anyway..
  17. I've been meaning to check up on this game, especially because of this But I saw some of the first screen shots and the done-to-death fantasy armours really made me bored.. Which is a bad excuse, 'cause they aren't really that important.
  18. We will be.. but it won't have anything to do with the Mayan Calender.
  19. After playing Mount and Blade for a while I started missing actual strategy.. so I tried playing Medieval Total War 2, but I've played that to death - I quickly got bored. Then I remembered that I'd tried the Grand Campaign Mod, back before I upgraded my PC, so I decided to try it again, to see if it would run more smoothly now.. well it did.. And by Shiva if it isn't the most fun I've had in that game ever.. That map is huge!
  20. Ring of fire comes to mind.. In India I tried some of the delicious curry people recommended.. As an American (Alabama native) so nicely exlpained to me - I was trying to write checks with my mouth that my ass couldn't cash.
  21. I'd never heard about it and I'd never seen it. So thanks for the find!
  22. Is that all? I thought more was removed... I heard something about the European version being darker and moodier (lighting wise) - but I don't know if that's true.
  23. I've had some hilarous fun playing an archer in this game.. it's like being on the field in a Medieval Total war battle! If all of you knew this game how come you didn't mention it here!? I would've loved following this game through it's development.
