X-Mas
What was your fondest Christmas/Kwanza/Hanukkah present/memory? I remember when I got Snake Mountain, I was pretty stoked, and the time I got the aircraft carrier from GI Joe, but the best was a couple of years ago when my parents got me a '78 Fender Fretless P-Bass and a vintage Trace Elliot amp.

NHL is back
I can't beleive that the Bruins shut out the Senators. The thing about the trade, it would have never gone down if Thorton hadn't cronically underachieved

Movies you've seen lately
A girl thats a friend made me watch Personal Velocity. The highlight of the movie was a Conway Twitty song, Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On. For a while I thought that the movie might take a Monster type turn, but it was just quite boring. Samurai Champloo has a plot, its wandering around looking for the samurai that smells of sunflowers.

NHL is back
I think that the Thorton trade is sort of going to become the norm in hockeywith the salary cap. Alot of GMs are going decided its better to spend a little money everywhere then locking it up in a couple of positions. The strength for the Ducks is that the contract is only 3yrs. more after this, meaning they can either try and work out a longer deal if things work out well, or trade him in the last year to a team looking to dump salary. Boston needs alot of players to help themselves out, so this trade works for them as well. As for the Blackhawks looks like they're going to win tonight. Bell has played pretty well thus far, but I still think he really needs to get stronger.

Need a little help .. with some poetry
Just the ending... Maybe something like "but does Rosbjerg feel fear, a thousand times no." I think Robert Frost really messed up by not including this in more of his works.

Alot opf people are very critical of Charlie and the Chocolate factory, which I can understand, but if nothing else atleast Roald Dahl's character wasn't so bastardized that he wouldn't speak to the actor even on his death bed.

Outsourcing jobs
We can argue over our own personal intrepretation of words and all, that's fine. I live in Texas, and when I first decided I wanted to have a career I thought I'd be a carpenter. Well as most people in Texas know we have relatively cheap housing because we have a large illegal immigrant workforce that does the work for extremely cheap. At the same time I got on with a professional cabinet builder who mostly did large custom homes. The job was great, we worked at our own pace and usually in the same place for long periods of time, and though we were not even a consideration for 95% of homes built because we offered a skill people found valuable we were able to make a better living then 95% of people who work on homes. The quality of our work and the uniqueness of our skills allowed us not to even have to worry about people offering similiar skills at a fraction of the price Edit:And yes, I realize this isn't exactly the same thing, but it has enough similiarities not to whine completely apples and oranges
