  1. If it's not the dragons, then what is the hardest boss creature in the game? So far the most difficult fight I've had was with the Kraken.
  2. While I did prefer the split health system, I'm not finding combat at all boring or dull. I'm really enjoying it, actually.
  3. I'm specifically doing a "never do what the gods tell you to and disrespect them as much as possible" playthrough. Backfired on me once. Protip: Do not **** with Rymgrand.
  4. Well, first I pissed off a god, and *then* killed a kraken. It was actually a hard fight for me, too--I whole-party wiped twice before finally managing to kill the bastard. Really felt like an accomplishment. Also, **** Galawain.
  5. There's a little hourglass button the menu bar at the bottom of the HUD that you click on and it let's you wait.
  6. Really looking for a turquoise to upgrade my Thundercrack pistol. They don't have it either in Dunnage or in the gem shop on Serpent's Crown.
  7. I don't get why people bitch about DLC's. Like...there's more of the game to play, and you're whining about it.
  8. The "I suffered more than you" mentality will never end. They disabled BoB and added achievmenet? "Why is there no 'Solo only' achievement?!?!" They added solo achievement? "HAha you play op class" The player decide to play the class considered to be weakest? "Haha I killed this at level 1" It's a single-player game and we are all on the same level playing field. People need to stop sitting on the backseat developer chair and just play the game. If it becomes too easy for them then go ahead and strip all the equipment, just don't demand everyone to follow. It is an unfounded accusation IMO or a sort of complex of susceptibility. Nobody will force you to be a hardcore RPG gamer. We want just difficulty for...difficulty Levels. You can live without the hardcore achievement unlocked I think. Not nothing more nothing less, it is a just and justifiable position. Seems like an accurate accusation to me. There is a group of people demanding/suggesting the removal of a game feature because they feel the game is too easy. Thing is that thing they want removed is optional, so there is no need to remove it. All that does it make that groups play style mandatory (even if only in a certain case) for another group. Why remove the option? Because one group thinks their way of playing is better or can't be bothered to control which options they select? My post are answer concerning the difficulty debate in the page 1, nothing about the Berath trouble as I say. IMO Berath is optional and not a problem just for hardcore achievement maybe. But Deadfire is too easy, it’s not a feeling but an objective conclusion. It's not an objective conclusion, and I'll prove it. It's really easy to prove, too. Here it goes: I think the difficulty is fine and have no problems with it. BAM! See that? It's a subjective opinion.
  9. [Xoti's quest ending spoiler warning, just in case] During her quest, i convince her to give souls from Lanter to Animancers, and she said, after it her nightmares are gone and lantern feels light as never before. so... good ending? maybe? Huh. I did that and she became a total lunatic. I'm gonna stop playing this game until a real patch comes out to fix this stuff. It's ridiculous even by Obsidian standards. HA HA HA! 40 hours in, not one bug. You just have bad luck. Sorry about that, but the game is actually *considerably* less buggy than Obsidian games in the past. Everybody is so quick to forget what it was like playing KOTOR II on launch.
  10. It kind of seems to if you play an Orlan or a Godlike, though.
  11. Well there is a spoiler tag, and simply confirming their presence shouldn't be a spoiler since the crowdfunder campaign was very public.
  12. I saw the log in the Wiki, but I assume that's from loading it through the console since there were no other details.
  13. Concur. I strongly doubt there will be a preload. This isn't an mmo, or even an online game at all. Since there is no "competition" involved, there is no real benefit to preloading. Just enjoy a good nights sleep and download it in the morning. Thinking about it, I also wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't release until noon or something similar on the day of. You are wildly optimistic about the download speeds available to many Americans. For some of us, that download is going to take 24 hours or more. 82% of US citizens who have the Internet have high-speed broadband internet. The people for whom that download will take literally 24 hours is pretty damn small. Only if you count satellite as broadband. The satellite companies do, but no one else should. I grew up on dial-up. Satellite is *definitely* broadband.
  14. My watcher is going to be a Cipher/Rogue. My original intention for PoE was to play a melee cipher, but I realized pretty quick that it's a tough character to play. My experiences in the beta have shown me how incredibly formidable a Cipher/Rogue is, thanks to the increased damage and the small-but-noticable increase in defenses and health. I'm not going to have a "starting party" as I'm going to go with companions, and will build my party as I encounter them throughout the beginning part of the game. Most likely going to take Eder, Aloth, Pallegina, and Xoti. Second playthough I'll probably play a Corpse Eater and run with Eder, Aloth, Serafen, Ydwin.

  16. I doubt their will be any preloading. There wasn't for PoE, either.
  17. 1) Dude liked smoking weed. 2) Dude liked smoking weed while playing the game this forum is about. 3) Dude wondered if other members of the forum also enjoyed this activity. 4) Dude made post. Glad I could help.
  18. It was literally inevitable that some jackass would come in here to talk **** on smoking weed and people would respond in kind. You could see that **** coming from twenty miles away.
  19. What you linked was the pax pannel, they got added (2) 6 & 7 april Sorry, you were right, that is the one already listed. My bad =) And that existing code is not hCSjoF, it's hCSjoE. Is that a ****ing Spider Jerusalem emoticon?! Badass.
  20. Josh already talked about that some time ago. It's drawn images of monsters just like Pillars1 and won't include 3D models in bestiary. alright. thanks. wondering what's the reason for that. if those creatures are beautifully designed, it would go to waste without able to see them on first person. I think it's to do with the bestiary being part of the journal, and wanting a journal 'feel' - guess the Watcher is an artist too The sketches were really good in PoE. I too would like to be able to view the models when I'm not attacking them with a fireball. Perhaps a model viewer could be modded. I concur; I really enjoy the sketches a lot, but would like to be able to see the 3D models more clearly.
