  1. I would *LOVE* a full, comprehensive pronunciation guide. We have SOME guidance, but not nearly enough and not in one place to easily reference.
  2. I bought the computer for 150 bucks in 2012; I really can't complain about the price, especially since the upgrades that it does have (it didn't come with a graphics card, and it originally had a 50 GB hard drive while it now has a 110G solid state and a 500 GB storage) were free, given to me by friends who had extra equipment lying around.
  3. That is sad news. One of the reasons I got myself a large tower and put the parts in myself. I can fit any mobo, processor, power supply out there into my case. I've been down the road of getting pre-built PC's with special, unique parts in them before and raged when I couldn't replace them without buying a whole new computer. Your processor doesn't meet the minimum requirements. That's bad news man. That's what you'd think, but I've seen a stream of somebody with my exact processor running the backer beta just fine with no problems at all. So I don't know what's going on.
  4. They already have a day 1 patch made, and honestly--Stick of Truth was actually fairly bug-free. I have high hopes for PoE.
  5. My computer is a proprietary small-form factor with a specially designed motherboard (including special motherboard mounts that fit *no* other board) and proprietary power supply (shaped specially to fit into the small form factor); I am incapable of upgrading beyond my Core 2 Duo 2.13 Ghz or my Radeon 6400 without buying an entirely new computer.
  6. Pillars is #1 in both places, GoG just counts the editions seperately. How is that GoG owning Steam?
  7. For me the association is instantly to Pillars of Eternity. Like I said, I'd never heard of Path of Exile before--when I see somebody say PoE meaning that game, I'm confused because I think "Pillars of Eternity" whenever I see PoE.
  8. I'm going to call it PoE. It's a perfectly normal abbreviation to a game; I'd never heard of Path of Exiles before, so to me PoE is the normal and natural shorthand for Pillars of Eternity. I'm sorry of it confuses you, but that's how it is.
  9. I'm actually betting the major review sites will be very favorable to it. The statistical likelihood is that a lot of the people working for those sites are gamers, and a higher percentage of them will be backers than you'll find in the "mainstream" population.
  10. Yay for Obsidian! Way to go! #1 on Steams Top Sellers. Congrats, people.
  11. Unfortunately I think you'll see more kids or trolls tying it to a Diablo clone. Those who remember or played BG likely will not undervalue the return to a BG-style game, while those who never heard of or played BG tend to relate this type of game to action games like Diablo. le sigh. Cuz the point-and-click interface, right? Yeah, I can see that. I have spotted a few "Just a BG clone" posts on the Steam forums, so that's where I pulled that from.
  12. Oh, there is. It's optional, but it's there. The Endless Paths will ****ing eat my life.
  13. Trolls giving it **** scores because "GRAPHIS SUXXOR!" and "JUST BG CLONE!" will drag it down to 85-90ish.
  14. Did you make stock with the leftovers? If you didn't try it next time, internet will have instructions and its pretty simple. Home made stock is so damn good in cooking. I feel like making soup in the next week now. Oh, check this out! A week ago she showed me the making of stock. We took a whole chicken and covered it with salt, black pepper, red pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper. She showed me how to do the same inside the whole, and she added about four small pieces of a cutie inside, too. Then we baked it and some squash (with margarine and agave syrup). Then when we had finished eating all the chicken after it was done baking, she showed me how to make stock with the bones and that was the best ****ing stock in the world.
  15. They might be eating healthy, who knows. (Like myself, at first glance it looks like i am indeed dying, but in reality, my diet couldn't be more healthier.) The spirit of this topic was to ask for preferred snacks with a sparkle in the eye. Right? I do actually eat pretty healthy much of the time. My fiance is an excellent cook and she's been teaching me--the other day we bought two whole chickens, she showed me how to break them down, and we've been using skinless chicken breasts and crap to make our meals. It's been tasty. But when PoE comes out I'm *going* to be drinking super-sweet and creamy tea and eating cinnamon rolls. It's a combination of celebration and intentional pleasure-maximised first-day nergasms.
  16. It'd be interesting to know what kinds of delivery, snack foods, etc. get an uptick from this kind of thing--from a purely anthropological point of view.
  17. Adding the weapon focus with cheats might end up being something I do, actually, just so my roleplay choice is a little more viable. The pike is meant to be more-or-less what's left of his rational side...his self-control, his training, teaching him to stay back, use his magic, support his teammates. The stiletto and hatchet are emblamatic of his going native and a little crazy...somebody comes up and attacks him face-to-face, he starts stabbing...and hacking...and stabbing...and laughing...and it's just not good for anyone.
  18. Pancakes covered with Nutella and rolled up like a burrito are pretty freaking amazing trash food. :D
  19. When I was a teenager, yeah, sure. I'm 31 now; my tastes are slightly more refined.
  20. I stocked up on loose leaf tea, creamer, and demerra suger yesterday. Making cinnamon rolls today. Should be good. :-D
