  1. I only played light side so no wookie for me. Although I do remember he was bat**** crazy. Obsidian: Happy Shiny People
  2. I'll tell you this, I had a five-person party and I still had to cheese Rolling Flames bounces to win it.
  3. Nothing wrong with that. Although I don't remember Obsidian ever being particularly cheery with their stuff. NWN2:OC was probably he cheeriest and even that still had some dark things going on. Did you ever have a real deep conversation with your Wookie companion from KOTOR 2?
  4. I dunno about Boo. That was one damn smart hamster.
  5. Right, I agree with this entirely. This game is how grimdark should be done. Still, I demand some noblebright in the expansion pack. I actually thought that was pretty cheery and heartwarming. Not the descriptions of how her body was moving when she laughed.
  6. This was how I always did to split stacks in the IE games... SHIFT-click was my MO.
  7. No, there is no combat XP. You get XP for completing quests and filling the bestiary.
  8. The voice acting isn't complete, but it is there. It's enough for me, personally. I really enjoy the descriptive text in the dialogues; it adds a lot of subtle nuance that is difficult to capture fully and clearly in voice acting.
  9. I managed to take down the wolves, but only by burning both of my gauns pledges and a potion. I didn't even try for the bandits. Ciphers are a support class, not a front-line class. :-D
  10. Thank you, that's three things I've learned in the last five minutes that I didn't know, and will really help me out!
  11. I'm going to complete that dungeon. I don't care how long it takes. I *will* see the end of the Endless Paths.
  12. The conversation with the dead animancer. Oh, my god, how creepy. The descriptive writing in this game is just beyond fantastic.
  13. I hated encumberance in all the IE games, in here it would just be horrid. So many different damage types to carry around and switch in/out all the time, plus extra grimoires and such...and I'm a lore book hoarder...even with the stash, my characters personal inventories get filled up pretty quick actually. I have to go through and dump stuff I'd like to keep to the stash!
  14. The pausing is an integrated part of combat; it's built, designed, and balanced around pausing regularly in combat as part of the gameplay. If that's an issue, this just might not be the game style for you.
  15. I'm not really that tired, and I don't really have anything at all to do tomorrow, but I kind of feel like I *should* go to sleep, you know? Like...12 hours playing a game is enough, right?
  16. You know, I had that exact same dialogue but I had everybody equipped with the robes....so I wasn't sure if it would work without them...and then I put them on again every time I came to that floor afterwards, so I don't know if that sticks, either.
  17. True facts. I want the AoE spells because I've never yet met a game where the edges are definite enough not to screw me up, and I want the reputation dialogue help because tone can be hard to do in text properly.
  18. I've never tried to go without a permit. The idea of never casting a spell the entire time I'm in Athkatla, with the slavers between zones and just all the **** that goes down...or even worse, dealing with the Cowled Wizards over and over again...hell no.
  19. I hear that if you kill enough of them, eventually they just give up.
  20. Well, with plague people die horribly. With the Legacy, people are born semi-comatose and the attempted cure turned them into mutated cannibal monsters that rove the countryside eating people. All those wichts you were killing in the Black Meadow map? Those are 9-12 year old children. So...yeah.
  21. I'd just like to disable all the helper stuff *except* the reputation dialogue indicators and the AoE boxes. Is that doable in the game options?
  22. You won't take me alive pig! This is an unsanctioned use of magical energy. All involved will be held--this disturbance is *over*.
  23. Where did you find a cat? In Raedrics hold, there's an enemy to fight in the dungeon. Once you clear their room, there's a black cat to talk to. Thanks. I haven't gotten there yet, I barely scratched the game yesterday, so I wanted to make sure I don't miss it. Coolness. I tried to do it spoiler-free as much as I could.
