  1. The only issue I've really run into in the original Metro game was that I had to hire a sherpa (who famously don't need a gas mask and survive in the worst conditions) to carry the filters for me. He kept messing up the stealth sections, but I could use him as a meat shield when people started firing in my general direction (sherpas also never die.) Then again, I suppose not everybody can be as amazing at videogames as I am, eh? Seriously tho, I think the only section I've had issues with navigation was the nazi apartment building on the surface because there were some ... Bits where I got lost easily. But exploring just a little bit usually lead to more filters in that game. Or sudden death. I just noticed that I wrote Metro when I meant Last Light redux. There is quite a difference. Also I never noticed you could buy gas mask filters.

Wanted to get hitman, discovered it was always online. Now, I may never see the 'disconnected from server' notification, internet is pretty stable where I'm at all things considered, but this is a single player game. Go away with your ****ery Square Enix. You are worse than EA.
  3. I dunno what you mean, running out of filters is the easiest thing on earth, especially when you can't figure out how to proceed. Once you know what to do in what order, it's easy sure, but the game doesn't tell you what to do. There is no map, no objective markers.
  4. Metro Redux. I love the fact that you can actually lose. I didn't have enough filters for my gas mask and was very close to finishing a chapter. Had to restart it instead. It's one of the few games ever where no manual saves was a good decision.
  5. tired of Stare wars but this made me laugh. Stay with it it gets better. George Lucas is a a whacko
  6. I dunno, nothing really stands out for 2016. I had high hopes for Xcom but it kinda fell flat compared to the reboot. I've played Doom and dishonoured 2 and yes they are good but I haven't replayed them.
  7. When are they done carving up that game so I can get the whole thing. I'm not going to buy one level for 7,99 that's retarded.
  8. The historical sources and speculations are much more interesting than a TV show. That said I don't think TV Ragnar does a bad job, it's just all getting a bit samey and boring. Happens to every show. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragnar_Lodbrok https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragnar_Lodbrok
  9. Apropos Doom and being self aware. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZSRn-WUbzchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZSRn-WUbzc
  10. I don't expect it will expand much on the story. It will be another vaguely complimentary but seperate sort of thing I suspect. I'm curious what they come up with.
  11. Sucide Squad. It's just as bad as they said.
  12. Remember back when the greatest crime on earth was that Obsidian redacted a backer's dirty limmerick from a plaque that maybe a hand full of people had even noticed.
  13. People will generally start a ****storm over very little. You know, the internets.
  14. Check out the latest Steam reviews, mentions of bad performance are actually fairly rare. Apparently, for some people, framerate dips still happen, but aren't nearly as severe. The game ran okay for me on launch and runs perfectly now so not much to complain about. As it always is with these things tho: YMMV More or less fixed for Nvidia cards I would say. They really should have waited, they must have known how dire things were.
  15. Well for all their faults I really liked playing the Mass Effect games. Dragon Age 1 and 2 as well. The teen romance doesn't detract anything imo. I guess Bioware makes me feel like I'm in a cheesy B movie with a large budget. Not an altogether unpleasant experience.
  16. What's the other plane though. A Mustang ?
  17. Congratulations Kirk, you look like a shoe. I hope I never live to be 100.
  18. I liked playing dwarfs best but hated it once i discovered that I was only able to capture orc lands. That's just too much lore getting in the way. It also kinda ruins any chance of a tough strategic challenge as enemy factions always seem to even out and never expand beyond a certain point so the stronger you get the weaker they get, relatively. Making the last 1/3 of the campaign strategically uninteresting.

There's gotta be a twist and they can't realistically have Anthony Hopkins for more than a season. I was unsurprised at what the maze was, I always figured Hopkins would turn out to somehow be the 'good guy' although that's debatable. Certainly that he was more interested in the development of the hosts than he was letting on, that was pretty clear from his dialouge with Bernard. I thought they were going more relativist with the ending, you know 'what is consciousness' that kind of thing. He does it a bit at the end with his speech.
  20. I find that impressions after 5 mins tend to be accurate. Tutorials are stupid anyway, especially those you can't skip. Make them contextual and skippable and overwith in the first 5 mins. Thats kinda the standard you have come to expect.
  21. I'm like a fine wine taster after all these years. I only need to gargle a game for a few seconds and spit it back out to tell if it's any good.
  22. Yes I want a mechwarrior game. Got 5 mins into the mechwarrior online tutorial mission and realised it was ****. Let's have a strong single player campaign this time.
  23. Superman is just plain boring, that's not really anyone's fault other than whoever created Superman. Nolan gets the blame for making the CGI action sequences boring and nauseating at the same time. And what's with the constant gloomy filter. (Man of Steel) Batman v Superman was raping a comic that deserved its own movie. (Dark Knight returns) They should be ashamed that they stole such good source material and still ended up with a script which was so terrible, even if Ben Affleck was good in it. They wind up fighting the ork warlord from the Hobbit ? what the hell was that.
