Bin laden and his group is neither motivated by money or the destruction of Chistianity. He wants the US to stop it's support for Saudi Arabia and Israel, and to aid the ascendancy of Islamic extremism throughout the middle east and the world. On the latter count he has been quite successful, inspiring several sister organisations. From the US perspective of course vital interests are involved, energy, long term stability. ect. If Sadam had lived in Africa he would still be merrily warring and exterminating political rivals.

He's talking out of his arse of course, in an attempt to bolster the threat posed by his organisation and to appeal to slightly more moderate coleagues and public opinion in the middle east.

It's a pretty stupid scam to begin with. I mean something as unusual as a human finger can be traced back through the food preparation steps. If noone is missing one, then where the hell did it come from ?. It can be DNA mached, fingerprinted ect. A ****eroach or a maggot or something would be both smarter and easier to get a hold of.

I think the premise and story is pretty stupid, I mean, Jurasic park, Indiana Jones, Castaway, resident evil - Make up your ****ing mind, you can't have it all - though i'm sure that doesen't keep the network execs from thinking themselves geniouses. The acting and characterisation is pretty solid though. Thats what makes it worthwhile.

How does Jack return. As i recall he was faked his death and went underground at the ending of the last season. And yeah, the 3rd season with the drug cartel was weak. 4th season was too many deja vus. Jack working with a few acomplices against orders because the boss is a nitwit. etc, but still very good.

I hate you. We are still stuck at the last season here. It's very well thought out except that the constant cliffhanger element gets really annoying after a while.

And for 10 long years we waited... For a disapoinment nearly comparable to Alien 4. All my boyhood dreams shattered with those two releases. What utter manure. Why can noone make a decent sci fi anymore.

On some twisted level you have to admire Osama. I mean how many other evil 'geniuses' with underground lairs are left in the world these days. He might be irrelevant and sidelined, but as a symbol of the fundamentalists extremists movement he still holds a lot of power.
