  1. What is meant by incarceration without trial. Judges can already imprison suspects while an investigation is being held, to keep them from meddling with witnesses and evidence gathering. That can go on for months in a high profile case. The police have to convince a judge first though.
  2. Can you do her another time and get a less skanky dirty postcard. I noticed there were two options with Tris.
  3. Does any one know what choice you have to make during the bank robbery to remain neutral
  4. One salamander has a line to the effect of I kinda like the idea that it's all supposition though, that there are no indisputable facts. In Chapter two it is possible to do almost all the quests at once in random order, this breeds a lot of confusion about what you are supposed to do and why. On one hand I like not having to do everything in a particular order, and on the other it's very confusing. Focusing on one quest at a time and playing it to it's conclusion seems to help somewhat.
  5. This is exactly the reason games never ever get better, they just get prettier. Is there some cosmic rule that prohibits proper movement mechanics in CRPGs. Take Assassin's Creed as a forinstance. Overall the game is a train wreck, but the movement and combat are good, you can climb almost anywhere. Take that and stick it in a proper CRPG. As an aside the creators of Guildwars, the MMO, are building a new engine. They decided to ask people what features they missed in the old one, among the top ranks is jumping, climbing, flight. And guess what they are implementing it. It's not a fantastic game or anything, but it shows what gamers want often bears no resemblance to what developers decide to spend time on. Time and budget often means that developers stop short of setting the bar high enough to create something that really inspires.
  6. Everything is very pretty, but you are glued to the ground with the exception of certain stone structures you can scale just by moving. Running around trying to figure out where the game will actually let you go can be frustrating. Especially when you are defeated by a pebble or a two foot fence.
  7. It feels a lot like auroa engine KOTOR style.
  8. I cleared my savegames because I wanted to replay on hard. Didn't get far though.
  9. It doesn't take long between the phases if you damage it or use knockdown. 4 knockdowns or so and the next phase begins, if you use endurance potions that's pretty fast.
  10. I can sympathize with nudists, it's pretty comfy if the weather is warm. No chafing anywhere. They usually don't go out of the way to show you their goods, it's just a preference.
  11. Can someone explain to me the injustice of flashers always being fugly men, as opposed to hot women.
  12. Wait till you get to the nurses. Note the plural. You're a funny guy. Anyway I finished the game and thought it did pretty well in wrapping the whole mess up.
  13. My sister once dropped my year old brother while she was wrangling groceries and trying to get in the car. He got a pretty serious cut on the head and had to be taken to hospital. She blamed herself terribly. This is why babies freak me out, they're so fragile. It's like walking around with a Ming dynasty vase. That said, if you get one you better learn how to take care of it. Dozing off drunk doesn't sound at all prudent.
  14. The water block I ordered is a "full cover" model. Covers both GPU's, RAM, the whteverthebuschipsarecalled etc. with either direct contact or through some little "pillow" thingies you cut out with a scissor and stick to the chips and makes contact with the cooler. If I want to oc my machine I would have to solve the Northbridge temperature first, lots and lots of copper there, but it's barely keeping it under 45. How does that work, can it help out any board significantly.
  15. Ya think 3 cop cars are enough. lols. For once i'm grateful for the Japanese censoring pron.
  16. It narrows choices and probabilities. The choices still exist.
  17. Regardless of circumstance I think it's a healthy attitude to have, that your responsibility, your choices, always stretches further than your circumstance. It's doesn't correlate well if you have to say something about the whole of society though. Choices disappear in statistics and what we are left with is the whole of human nature.
  18. Well either works if done well, I just dislike having to forage for medkits. It's perfectly possible to combine passive healing with limited resouce. It's in the execution after all. Say you play as a mech, you would be unable to fully heal until you are able to 'power down'. Doing that in a hostile area could get you killed. You could also have slow regen combined with medpacks or a limeted use biomod (X times per day), that is perhaps passive healing would only regenerate your health bar 50%.
  19. Why does it have to be one or the other, that is come down to either complete social determinism or the hallowed individual choice. Doesn't both choice and circumstance have a part to play in the creation of an individual.
  20. A statistic is not an exception, exceptions are inside the statistics. Anyway what we are seeing is the usual difference between American and European posters. Everything is your own doing, versus everything is connected.
  21. First advice on online stock trading : Seek ye not advice on random fora. This is indeed the time to make a fortune, or lose it.
  22. No I was just responding to posters commenting on how wonderful it is to only have one med pack left. The more likely outcome is that you hoard them. Anyway I think the whole cyborg, android, biomod idea lends itself rather well to passive healing.
