What you did today
My apartment cost 12.000 $ ages ago when I first got it, it's listed as 100.000 $ now, and that listing is determined by the co-op I belong to. We each get votes, but so far the others are more comfortable paying less taxes. Real market value would be over 250.000. That's pretty annoying because it's a serious incentive not to sell when you know you are going to lose half the actual worth. I wish I owned the thing fair and square, but then of course it wouldn't have been so cheap to begin with.

56 m2 is a typical two room apartment where I'm from. I think mine is a little over 60. I've got two rooms and a small kitchen and bathroom.

M^2 probably. Seeing as we don't measure anything in silly antiquated units like feet.

It's that annoying guy from Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place who for some reason is getting action roles now, he was in one of the Blade movies as well swinging around Katanas.

It got me to thinking about comic book timing though. In a comic you have characters saying lines while they are shooting guns and swashbuckling around. You can't just ignore the fact that that doesn't work in a movie.

Easily one of the worst films I've ever been subjected to. Its sad when the most entertaining part of the film is listening to the lady behind you in the theater whispering to her companions "Does this make any sense to you? This **** doesn't make any sense to me. What the hell is this even about?" The actors had no idea what to do with the material. Knowing it already didn't help me much. The stories aren't fantastic, it's all in the execution and that certain charm that is never carried to the big screen. Maybe it made sense in the 1940s, who knows.

Dollhouse
It just got good. About time they started advancing the Alpha storyline. The Doll missions on their own are just boring filler. By the way wasn't that the pilot from Firefly.

Mysteries of Westgate
DRM factors into my buying games in that I will not impulse buy anything with limited installs and required internet access. I'll buy it anyway if the game is good enough though. My experience with STEAM has been pretty decent. I guess I'm more likely to get something protected by STEAM than other schemes. I can't say that I'm that interested in anything on the NWN2 engine anymore. It's out too late, and they have only themselves to blame.

Swine Flu
First pig flu, then the Israelis complained, then Mexican flu and understandably the Mexicans were nonplussed. Who is Colbert and when is he going to sue.

Obsidian making Fallout: New Vegas
just walking around with dogmeat became quite perilous since radscorpions always come in twos and he would get killed by the second one while holding the first one off in a matter of seconds unless you paused the game by talking to him and fixed him up (really silly feature that betrays a lot of balancing problems)

No one uses that crap to learn pronunciation, it's completely pointless except if you are writing about language academically or some such.

Chatting up girls in bars
A very attractive woman I have seen around here and there, although I don't even know her last name, works in a green grocer, and I have been buying disproportionately large amounts of lettuce. I can't really gauge if I'm making progress. I mean I think I'm pretty likable and funny, but being a man I'm completely unable to tell her level of interest.

Funny movie, the gags worked because it didn't take itself too seriously.

Saving news websites?
Once upon a time Adobe acrobat could save entire websites, you would just set a number of 'click levels' for it to follow and those would be included in the folder it was saved to. If you included off site clicks you would get a lot of unneeded stuff, but it was a nice feature. I believe EI had the a similar function but without the handy 'clicks'. Haven't used either in ages.

Mysteries of Westgate
I think I threw away the NWN2 manual and the disk looks really raggedy You know there are things to be said for steam for a slob like me. No way i'm buying NWN2 again just to run this, unless it's like totally awesome.

Swine Flu
I wonder whats going to happen to an economy that's already struggling if everybody decides to stay home though. That might ultimately prove to be worse than the virus.

Swine Flu
This happens too fast for anyone to effectively stop it at the source unless they get lucky. Infections happen before the problem has even been identified and this was near a tourist hotspot no less.

Witcher port cancellad
I dunno, I could care less about console only titles as I don't have one. does that make me evil.

Swine Flu
I suspect that is going to happen quite a lot. Kids get sick and the parents think swine fever instinctively.

Swine Flu
hmm apparently the number of confirmed deaths has been adjusted down to just 7 in Mexico. This makes testing quite problematic. 3 doctors have died at the hospital directly responsible for most testing. This could make people cautious about showing up to be tested and instead staying home and infecting others.
