It's all in the battery. It needs to be able to run a set of popper headphones. Those earplug things suck big time. Not only do they hurt my hears if I use them too long because of the way they fit. Sunglasses are stupid, I would never wear them unless not doing so would mean snow blindness. Some people do look silly with hats, it depends on the shape of the head i suppose, it has to generate an aesthetically pleasing profile. You can't carry a bald or millimetre cut look well if your skull has no contour to it, or grow a beard if it ends up all patchy. Some people are just not that aware of the chasm between what they think they look like, and the actual impression they generate.

Hats need to be low key, a fedora in a muted colour for instance , baseball caps, well I guess I'm just too old for those unless they actually serve a purpose, ei working outside on a hot day. Part of the statement is that you don't care about people who summarily dismiss hats. That makes you automatically cooler than the rest of the hat hating herd.

Radical nationalism among veterans is nothing new, no, I'm not hinting at the Nazis, that would be a stupid comparison, but you get the idea. The US does not seem susceptible to a coup d'etat, but radicals among them may be desensitized to violence and more acutely aware of their own capabilities. They may be suffering from mental illness made worse by prolonged exposure to combat stress. Wasn't Timothy Mcveigh a veteran. It's entirely possible for patriotism to get bent out of whack into something more sinister, especially if they feel betrayed by their leaders.

Death proof is a better movie, although it spends too much time on pointless banter that just isn't cool in the same sense as Vincent Vega versus Mia Wallace was in Pulp Fiction. The actresses, some of them anyway, seem to have been chosen more for their Russ Meyeresque properties, and worst of all Tarantino is in it for more than 5 seconds, which is about as much as I can stand of him in one helping. Despite all that it's not a bad movie. Kurt Russel is pretty good.

Taxing beer and smokes is easier to get away with, and if you want universal healthcare and free higher education you need to milk the taxpayers for as much as they are willing to part with without turning into a murderous mob.
