  1. I don't remember if I've been to G
  2. Death proof is a better movie, although it spends too much time on pointless banter that just isn't cool in the same sense as Vincent Vega versus Mia Wallace was in Pulp Fiction. The actresses, some of them anyway, seem to have been chosen more for their Russ Meyeresque properties, and worst of all Tarantino is in it for more than 5 seconds, which is about as much as I can stand of him in one helping. Despite all that it's not a bad movie. Kurt Russel is pretty good.
  3. Taxing beer and smokes is easier to get away with, and if you want universal healthcare and free higher education you need to milk the taxpayers for as much as they are willing to part with without turning into a murderous mob.
  4. Doesn't sound particularly scientific.
  5. I would definently rather go to Copenhagen instead. Just stay away from the street by the station with all the **** shops. Actually if you can make it past the first stretch with crack hos and porn shops it gets very bohemian with art galleries, cafes and eco- speciality shops and whatnot.
  6. It's different, yet the same. Everyone speaks English.
  7. I think back to back seasons might be a little hard on the presenters. They seemed to end up with injuries resulting from grueling training regimens in practically every episode.
  8. The printer works perfectly under linux according to the database, however the printer itself seems to have a quirk with the paper feed, and will only print out half the pages I ordered, or just one. Then it spawns a hardware error screen. In windows I can just reboot the printer and I'm good to print out what was missing from the job, in linux though the hardware error screen doesn't appear and this means it can't finish the job. Fortunately Open office 3.o for windows seems to open files I have worked on in Ubuntu without a host of import errors after I switched to the Danish version. I need a new printer anyway.
  9. I think modders should wear sunglasses while they mod, so they can feel gangster lean. yeeeah.

As said, then done : Is your character a porn star Is your character an animal Is your character disheveled Is your character petite What the.... Was the genie going for Gonzo the (actual) goat.
  11. Man BSG would have been the bees knees if they had just stuck to the feature length specials. No serious show in the history of mankind has ever survived the arthritis of a complicated plot stretching into a 3rd and 4th season unscathed. BSG was no different. I didn't particularly care about the show's intent to be controversial all the time except when it helped the story. Caprica sounds like more social commentary and less action, on a smaller budget, with worse actors. I could care less.
  12. Nunchos that is. http://photos23.flickr.com/26815550_b8d1e62fdb.jpg
  13. vanishing boundary Getting ahead of ourselves here, but it's fascinating. Some tech news invariably overplays it's own importance. I remember reading years ago that Cambridge had a working nano computer. Truth be told it was not functional at all.

Who the hell is 'the island' anyway. There's an Incan temple and a lethal smoke monster, who appears to be in charge of things, then there's Claire and Jack's father who are supposed to be dead but aren't and usually hang around abandoned buildings. And these entitires know better because ....
  15. Hataru no hoka. Grave of Fireflies. Too depressing, I couldn't really get into it.

It knew the Street Fighter series character named Garuda, but not what he was named after. Guessed 'Azumi' in like 10 questions.

It's really eerie how good it is at guessing. Fail on Nameless one, Success with Annah. Although that was after I pointed it at Nameless One after it gave up. So it definitely takes your history into account, as well as your age, whether you put in an Asian or European sounding first name etc.
  18. 2 Hours. I've done better, and worse.
  19. I quit today, lets see how far that goes.
  20. Seems to me escorts would work reasonably well. We are only talking about the bottleneck area in the horn of Africa. A small mercenary fleet could eek out a living hiring itself to shipping companies.

What are we celebrating again. Something about Jesus and bunnies with chocolate eggs.
  22. In Japanese horror flicks the ghost is always a giant hairball attached to a girl. It's a rule now, after 'ringu'. People are no smarter about examining that strange noise after half their party has mysteriously disappeared though. I welcome a chance to go off topic, too much text makes Jack a dull boy.

    Isn't this old news
  24. I was wondering about that too. MotB Mongoose. Now that I would like to see.
