You can't detect the prejudice in your statement at all, can you... -

How could you possibly care if there are mosques or training centers for imams or whatnot. I haven't spent 5 minutes considering the existence of the church whose tower I can see from my window. Unless you are looking for some pretext and this isn't really about mosques at all that is. -

They treat their ethnic minorities rather poorly. Police brutality is rampant despite it being a democracy, they still have the death penalty, only country in Europe. They definitely have a while to go yet. -
You will notice, or perhaps not, that I use 'fool' more as an expletive than an accurate description of Bush's intelligence. His 'speech impediment' and general air certainly aren't evidence of anything in themselves, although the fact that he has used his dad's name and political machinery extensively perhaps suggests that he got to the final lap in the presidential race rather more easily than well, others.

I haven't seen W, but I'll agree any time just on general principle that Bush is a fool. Now I did see the one where Oliver Stone follows Fidel Castro around and interviews him, I can't even remember the name. Anyway after several days of dragging Stone around the country on the grand PR tour Castro eventually lets down his guard and talks about Batista, the CIA and the Bay of Pigs, and the Cuban missile crisis. I was surprised at how much anger he had for the Russians. Of course Stone wanted to know who shot Kennedy, as if Castro automatically must have the answer, and tried, and failed, to make that a pivotal moment.

I'm not suggesting forcing immigration, I'm just saying that these problems with racism are more intensely felt where the immigrants are fewer in number, have all the bad jobs, and are isolated in ghettos. It's not so much a question of assimilation as of getting along with one another, and that's a learning by doing process. I suppose the biggest issues with middle eastern immigrants are crime and a percieved disregard for freedom of speech. Personally I support the right of anyone to criticize and ridicule any religion any time, that's not to say that doing so is a good idea, but freedom of expression either exists or it doesn't, you can't factor good sense or situational awareness into the definition if you want it to mean anything. As for the gang and violence problem, that's only solvable in the very long view by making sure young immigrants don't define themselves in opposition to the rest of society, which is often the case. -

I see a lot of integration happening every day here in Versterbro. The schools in particular. I think the problem is there still aren't enough immigrants. Once you become a truly multicultural hub, like London or Paris for instance, it forces the process. Being named Muhammad is not going to hurt your chances of getting job most places. It certainly did 10, or maybe just 5 years ago. -
An excellent but underrated movie, The Duelists.

I was presented with a rather unique 'motif' the other day. I was taking out the trash when I noticed a book resting on top of the bin. The title read 'When you get tired of your ****, just buy another one', a line drawing of a man casually throwing a (his) **** over the shoulder. I was so, I don't know if 'shocked', is the word, 'distracted' then, that I accidentally binned my bills which I was on my way to paying in the paper recycler. I didn't inspect the book further, so I don't know if the intent was to be funny, feminist, or both. A good picture has a story to it, and one can understand why having the book around might prove inconvenient, and on the other hand, it's a book, maybe someone else would want it. So it rested there for a few days until it finally disappeared. Did someone take it, did it make it's way to the bin. I will likely never know. I guess the moral of the story is that one should have a camera for these occasions.

At first Kirk annoyed the hell out of me, but I realized he was supposed to be over the top rebellious and the character grew a little on me.

You could like, pretend you didn't notice.

Judaism creates Christianity, and both spawn Islam. Then they go to war. Judaism is last to the battle but makes up for it with enthusiasm.

As it has already been pointed out there are plenty of clans populated with people who don't have the time or inclination for lengthy practice sessions. Casual gaming is supposed to be about having fun, leave the professional tournaments to the koreans. Although losing is not as fun as winning, doing slightly better than last week is still an amazing feeling.

I usually go for people I get to know through the game, in an FPS thats usually if you hang out at a certain dedicated server, seeing how the community is so enormous for newer games. I was in two Homeworld clans and had a lot of fun with that. Sigh, too bad the game died out and Relic went on to make Warhammer 40.000 games, which are not my cup of tea. The only Mmorpheger I ever played at lenght was Guildwars, but ultimately I like something that's over in one sitting that has a tactical and strategical element. These things that go on forever and turn into mostly farming don't interest me anymore.

- typing "tank to right" lacks a certain immediacy compared with speaking - The total absence of teamwork renders the whole thing into a confused mess - Only defensive missions with chokepoints evidence any teamwork - If you DO happen to get a good team player hang on to the little bastard. Two if us got into a tiger E and did great havoc once we got used to each other's style. Download teamspeak, although hearing your own voice, kinda takes away from the experience. Some clans take tactics and teamwork very seriously. I just got unreal tourney 3 myself, I'm planning on getting butchered by 14 year olds later on today.

Gorgon was taken. I refuse to call myself Gorgon41

I don't think Firefly would have been better if it had gone on forever, just look at Battlestar Gallactica. Firefly comes off better because it ended while it was still good.

Can't you guys at Obsidian quicken things up a bit, work your people harder hire some more hands. I would like to be able to play this some time next week if possible. Thank you.

Most importantly you make sure the dog is around other dogs and learns all the nuances of speaking 'dog' while it's a pup. Most problem dogs just never learned because their owners didn't take the time.

Of course if you live somewhere where shrubbery will spontaneously combust and potentially kill people it makes good sense to burn it off as a preventative measure, but what we are really engaged in here is farting in the general direction of the 'greens', I take it those are the people who buy all that expensive eco stuff they sell everywhere. I dunno if 'they' have the stated goal of reducing the earth's population by x billion people. It's more about them feeling good about themselves, and better than everyone else. They used to call this kind of thing Conservationism and it was a laudable cause, not subject to very much in the way of pracitcal know-it-all contempt.

The potions in the witcher worked rather well IMHO. Otherwise pretty simplistic combat though. Press mouse button 1 four times for the most advanced maneuver...

Well I guess theres a reason they are classics. I'm partial to digitally remastered stuff or something 60's or later. My dad had a lot of Ellington era stuff I never really got into because the sound quality was so inferior. If it's mono, analogue and grainy whats the use. There's a fair lot of jazz compositions I just find boring, but the good stuff is just fab. What else do you like.

Yeah, proper climbing and large rooftop areas, not the odd climbable tile here and there like T3.
