I like this folksy bit from the witcher. Also the bossfight with the leader of Salamander, couldn't find that.

Dark omen soundtrack (BATTEL 2) It's probably just what the file was called in the game folder.

And so on and so forth... I don't know if it's original, but it sounds very epic. From botB Man, this takes you back. Lols. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Enjbq1-WdVE

Dollhouse
I don't mind what it is, it's just that what it is is so banal, unless you are 13 years old that is.

The 5870 is here..
If you are not going to feel much of a difference because your current card is good enough to play new games, I don't see the point. There is always going to be newer and better.

Exercise
I'm not philosophically disinclined to hiking or biking, even tough hikes. It's an event. Torturing yourself with sit ups isn't.

I need a profound reason to move at more than a steady walking pace.

World of Warcraft
Methinks the graphics engine looks a mite 1980s.

The October Revolution, a History
The pictures are indeed very nice. Other than that it reads like a high school textbook.

FO:NV
This is Vegas rigth, how about a gambling minigame. Also, a vintage motorcycle for a mount, or fast travel if the engine can't do it.

Now that's one helluva last request.

Witcher 2 'leaked' video
I don't get the problem you guys had with alchemy. Basically you need a little bit of this and a little bit of that, then press the make potion button, presto potion created. If you pick up a little bit of everything lying around you won't hardly want for ingredients.

NWN2 and SOZ, five bucks each on Direct 2 Drive.
Maybe the plot wasn't very good, but I liked the areas.

Need a drawing package
Not to say that photoshop is a better drawing program, it's not, and for people who aren't used to juggling 10 layers painter is maybe the better option, there are just a lot of things about it I don't like.

Painter doesn't make it look more 'natural', it makes it look painterish rather than photoshoppy. Things like the pretty, and also recognizable, algorithms like water paining. If your work looks a certain way because you are using photoshop, you don't know what you are doing

MotB is a quality game, you could say it restored my faith in Obsidian as RPG developers. I played both the others, but they didn't leave any lasting impressions.

Money/Power vs. Appearance - Which is really the most shallow?
Looking healthy signifies good genes 'beauty' is a cultural and social construct entirely unrelated. Plenty of examples of beauty ideals that are unhealthy. One Another

I dislike everything about the painter interface except how the zoom function works on the canvas. I couldn't find a single brush I could use without modification out of the millions there for the picking. On the other hand Photoshop does not allow you to save detail settings like brush opacity, only the basic shape, pressure, and movement dynamics, which means you have to start over again every bleedin' time you need a new one. Also I don't know what you mean by 'fake blurry', if anything looks fake it's all those gimmick brushes in painter. To top it all off each brush type is keyed to a specific 'canvas', the painter version of photoshop layers, and can't be used with other canvases without rasterising the entire file, destroying any option for later editing. A computer program is not a piece of paper, I'd call that a strength rather than a weakness. You can get a canvas with infinitely better resolution at your local art supply store, and a lot cheaper too.

Americans set to get standardised/universal healthcare
If you are so concerned about your bank account how about the US cutting deep into defense spending. There is enough there to take from to include a tax break, and lets face it, it has never really been 'defence' spending since WW2, and with the cold war gone a direct threat to US soil seems entirely implausible. Why is such a large percent of BNP spent on defense not viewed as an attack on your freedom, and your wallets, in the same sense as UHC. I think it's a fair question.
