  1. I think SG1 suffered whenever effects were neccessary. All the spaceships looked silly. The carpenters could knock up an interior, but the 3d was painful to watch. Same experience with Babylon 5 which was recommended to me. The time of pointy ears, rubber face masks, and homebrew 3d is simply past.

am not certain why you think the principle is invalidated 'cause o' the hypocrisy of the author. a father who never brushes his teeth teaches his children to brush twice a day and floss regular. is the dad's message false? how 'bout michael vick doing humane society commercials 'bout treatment o' pets? is false that dogs should be treated humanely? hypocrisy of the messenger does not invalidate the message. the fact that principles espoused in the declaration is more valid now than it were when written makes principles false? HA! Good Fun! ps "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal," sounds better than, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all white men are created equal". just doesn't roll off the tongue as well. Look were those beautiful words led us, apologetics for slavery, the French revolution and subsequent reign of terror, I think they actually coined that term.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal," Written during slavery, which makes it utterly hypocritical. Necessary at the time, but completely false.
  4. Yup, console only. Who cares.

    Dollhouse

It's not as good as firefly. Not in the same category at all.

Obviously you haven't seen many bad movies. Was it the one about the cannibalistic hicks ?, pretty averagely bad.
  7. Maybe they will have just enough time to squeeze out witcher 2 before they turn to ****.

So I read a little of the headlines just for kicks. "I can't believe that Hollywood has separated itself so completely from American morality," said Paul Petersen, a former child actor and president of A Minor Consideration, which advocates on behalf of young performers ". This was in response to the American celebrity rally around Polanski. What the hell is 'American morality'. It sounds scary if you ask me. One can only hope it's at least similar to.... well morality. "Supporters make note of his age, the years that have passed, his talent and the victim's own assertion that pursuing the case opens fresh wounds for her as reasons the director should be left alone." Can someone explain to me what in blazes his talent has to do with anything. What is the suggestion here, that people with no talent should be punished and talented people go free. Also why aren't these supporters properly quoted.
  12. No BIOS beeps ? Does the mobo light up at all.
  13. Yeah it's pretty scary. According to the comparison chart that came with my last bill I average the same as a family of three. I'm trying to get a handle on it by putting the computer power lines into the same extension and purposely switching it off whenever I leave the house or sit down to read.
  14. It's pretty good, although the levels get a bit copy paste after a while. They designed the aiming for console meaning that in order to achieve a satisfactory aim response on a mouse you have to jack up the sensitivity so high you will be doing circles around yourself every time you try to turn around. It's like mouse movement in the middle of the screen, where you would be aiming, is slowed down to a crawl to accommodate those handicapped with a controller.

You are being silly, he said no such thing.
  16. ...and when all your trails are over you are going to love Assassin's Creed for it's combat system and graphics, then slowly realize that the designers are playing some kind of twisted Clockwork Orange joke on you with the cutscenes and eventually lose interest completely.

It makes a difference in law in many countries. I think the idea here is that an older adult will have all sorts of advantages in manipulating a very young person, and ought to know better. This is not necessarily the case if they are the same age. 13 is definitely too young. I suppose that's a personal judgment, but why push the limit, find someone closer to your own age instead.

Depends on the age of both, no need to even ask that a question if you are an adult. You bloody well know.

He should answer to those charges. If it was just some gold digger or a consenting (don't know if that's even possible) affair, would he have left his entire life behind to escape it ?. He's had a terrible time, but that doesn't mean anything to this case.
  21. The only way to find out is a massive dose of LSD
  22. Nice, Gothic 3 music was the best part about it. I have to order Risen from overseas because it was banned in Aus, because it contained pissing. And the important part, can we put any skill points into pissing ?
  23. Hormones mess with your own hormone balance, leftovers from livestock immune booster shots raise your resistance to antibiotics, that's why there are maximum allowable levels of either. That's not ecology mumbo jumbo, that's established fact.
  24. Also, one would need to demonstrate a causal link between UHC and not taking care of yourself because the govt will fix you up for free. Otherwise it's just so much talk.
  25. Logistically there are advantages to servicing everyone. You can make the most of every MRI scanner at your disposal, you can structure facilities to match population centers and move staff around to match needs. It's about seeing the 'big picture', the same reason government takes the lead in public works that are only going to pay off in the long term. Would the Hoover Dam ever have been built if left entirely to market forces.
