  1. You mean the political blow-back of the Madrid bombings ?
  2. It was that Senator who is on a crusade against the FED and regulating interest rates, I forget the name. Anyway apparently either he was full of it or I remember it wrong. 10% is the unemployment rate for the US and for California according to this http://www.bls.gov/
  3. I noticed some guy mentioning that the US has a 16% unemployment rate. That's quite a lot, and with everyone expected to fend for themselves times must be hard for a lot of people.
  4. Whats a floppy.

Well, I gave three reasons why I think the repair system is one of the highlights of Fallout 3's gameplay design. Care to tell me why you hate it so much? It adds nothing to the game yet is highly annoying? Weapon condition should not be scalable to damage at all, 3 or 4 stages of disrepair is quite enough, we don't need the full range of 1-100%. If those stages had separate animations, weapon jamming and forced reloads, even skins, that would be something worth having.

That would be me, the shallow person that is. I guess I have a high standard for the effects needed to pull SF off at all. I have no patience for klingons. Anyway isn't it time Macgyver was put out to pasture.
  7. The Pitts is the best adon imho it feels very fallouty. Broken steel is just more combat and more levels. I feel like i did that already. Point lookout is not very coherent, but pretty fun the first time around.

It was better than I thought it would be. I like the Baltar likealook.

I'm bored with this thread now. Arguing about sexual consent and age is dangerous ground, and there is something to talk about I'm sure, it's not all black and white. It would be easier if we weren't talking about someone who admittedly forced himself on a minor though.
  10. The bloat flies make good target practice with the mouse, radscorpions and mole rats are just annoying. Radroaches you can just ignore. Anyway there should definitely have been more than a handful of different wildlife encounters, and they needn't all have been hostile.
  11. If you help some wastelander against the a weak deathclaw, it's health is already very low and it moves very slowly, you can get the deathclaw gauntlet schematic at lv1. Thats another random encounter. Deathclaws become the wasteland cliffracers at around lv 18, interspaced with giant radscopions. If you can't wait that long they congretage around Old Olney, bring your alien blasters.
  12. No time to play it now, it'll probably play better after the obligatory patches anyway.
  13. eh, how'd you do that? i had a minigun and a AK-47 ar whatever it's called few minutes after i left megaton. I wouldn't call it hard as much as repetitive. I found at least 2-3 hunting rifles while clearing out the school and the super market. I don't know if it's my pc but there have been some weird things happening. When I do some critical hit and sent my opponent literally flying around, there's sometimes some weird scrap of metal flying around in the distance just like an UFO. I avoid getting close to it as it may hurt my character but it flies in circles and makes a weird noise (just like a sword, ya know, "swoosh"). Really weird. I have seen this 3 times already... Well there is a random encounter where you hear an overhead explosion and a UFO crashes, I thought I was being attacked by meteors and didn't pay attention to where I was, but there is an alien blaster and precious alien power cells for booty if you search the area. If you remember where it was go back and advance time to night, the power cells will glow in the dark, the blaster is a lot harder to find.
  14. my guess is the 2$ guy is running a pyramid or a chain letter scheme. You get promised all sorts of nice things, and then they cleverly cloud the fact that you are doing all the work.

Poziomy, you have defended your position into a corner and now you can't get out because it would mean losing the argument. You don't know anything about the character of the girl Polanski raped. The fact that she had sex before is unusual, but not relevant to whether she was raped. Polanski admitted the crime and fled, knowing full well that if he ever got caught he would go to prison. If you are going to cry 'miscarriage of justice' show me something other than speculation.
  16. I don't have the patience to wait 10 episode for the mystery non affected man to be revealed. I just know I'm going to de disapointed when they finally do roll out the full plot.
  17. Does the combat system work this time ?

I think SG1 suffered whenever effects were neccessary. All the spaceships looked silly. The carpenters could knock up an interior, but the 3d was painful to watch. Same experience with Babylon 5 which was recommended to me. The time of pointy ears, rubber face masks, and homebrew 3d is simply past.

am not certain why you think the principle is invalidated 'cause o' the hypocrisy of the author. a father who never brushes his teeth teaches his children to brush twice a day and floss regular. is the dad's message false? how 'bout michael vick doing humane society commercials 'bout treatment o' pets? is false that dogs should be treated humanely? hypocrisy of the messenger does not invalidate the message. the fact that principles espoused in the declaration is more valid now than it were when written makes principles false? HA! Good Fun! ps "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal," sounds better than, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all white men are created equal". just doesn't roll off the tongue as well. Look were those beautiful words led us, apologetics for slavery, the French revolution and subsequent reign of terror, I think they actually coined that term.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal," Written during slavery, which makes it utterly hypocritical. Necessary at the time, but completely false.
  21. Yup, console only. Who cares.

It's not as good as firefly. Not in the same category at all.

Obviously you haven't seen many bad movies. Was it the one about the cannibalistic hicks ?, pretty averagely bad.
  24. Maybe they will have just enough time to squeeze out witcher 2 before they turn to ****.
