'South Park' Creators Could Face Retribution for Depicting Muhammad, Website Warns
I remember that episode. Also this is an internet crackpot who just happens to be Muslim, he's not like the official representative of 'the religion of peace'. You probably know my stance, I think it's the duty of every man to arbitrarily insult the prophet Mohammed until the Muslims get so used to it they forget to flip their lids. Pavlovian response therapy if you will.

US Gun control
How does it discourage it ?. The federal agencies seem to have little trouble dealing with militias, it would be even less of an effort for the army. Unless we are counting on mass waves of volunteers.

US Gun control
It's a constitutional relic. Maybe it made sense after the war of independence, or in the wild west. In the modern metropolis, not so much.

US Gun control
GodDAMMIT! We can't just switch sides, you know? This is politics, not country-dancing. lol No really, I don't see gun ownership being a bulwark against totalitarianism. Not even a bad one.

Correct.

Fallout: New Vegas
I mean where is the 'wow' moment now. Not wowed since I don't have the game, won't be because I already know about it.

Fallout: New Vegas
The orbital lazer thing should have been a well kept secret, at least for your first play-through, it should be very hard to get a hold of, like an extra challenge sort-of thing once you have hamstered enough powerful gear and levels. Probably a mistake to make it part of the press blurb.

Fallout: New Vegas
Fatman was based on a real infantry weapon. I'd hate to be the crew responsible for driving out in a jeep and shooting it at the enemy. They would have been cutting it very close both with shock wave and radiation.

Fallout: New Vegas
Weapons and suits can be repaired in the Stalker (insert .....) series just only by the NPCs who can upgrade your gear, or shops for Stalker #1 (sell the item and then buy it back fully repaired) and costs reflect the full price of the item. So, if you have an exoskeleton suit thats 22% damaged you would be quite unlikely to afford the repair cost until very late in the game. Certain uber weapons like the RPG uses ammo that is so rare that it's basically a 'use once' weapon.

Amazing show of bipartisanship by 76 senators...
Yeah! They just killed lots of Jews. http://www.fpp.co.uk/Himmler/Meldung291242b.html You don't really need a link to support the claim that the SS killed jews you know.

Well to be fair there were volunteers for the international SS divisions from all over. Norway, Denmark, probably more I don't know about. A lot of people were more worried about being overrun by the Soviets than they were about the Nazis.

Movies you have seen recently
I thought it was all around pretty good. Of course Robert Downey was up against the only real Sherlock Holmes and the movie took a decided action-like bent after a while. I don't know why though, the talking heads stuff was quite good enough to stand on its own.

No really, I did not know Finland was formally allied with Nazi Germany. Of course they did play both sides of the fence and refused to participate in the invasion of Russia.

Findland was fashist ?. You learn something new every day. How about England and the US, just so I can get myself situated.

New XCOM game
I just replayed Xcom because I got it on steam for a pittance. It's not particularly fantastic. Every single encounter you spend twice as many turns looking for that last Alien that got away as you do beating the opposition. I guess I could stomach it because of nostalgia, I dunno. but games have come a loooong way since then.

Well the argument could be made that Israel helped those idiots (Hamas) to power through the efforts of the late Sharon. In any case that 'Palestine wants to destroy Israel' is not an accurate portrayal of the whole of Palestinian polity. The extremist on both sides seem to prefer the status quo. That's not going to change any time soon.

Joking aside, it's really difficult to get anywhere in the peace process if Obama is getting ham-stringed from home. If there was ever any doubt, Netanyahu now knows he can start as many settlements as he wants and go through the motions of pretending to be interested in the peace process without any consequences from the US.

Fallout: New Vegas
After half an hour in the face generator roulette you could sometimes manage to get a cool satisfying look. Too bad there was no way to save it. Why not have the option to add two or three of your own creations to the presets. It's not like that would be hard to implement.

1.6 trillion and growing
Agricultural policy has always been about protectionism as far as I can remember anyway. Well not always, the English were happy to let free market forces reign and let a million Irish and more Indians die of starvation.

Fallout: New Vegas
Bethesda seems to have a Freudian issue with dark tunnel, it was the same in Oblivion. What's wrong with letting the player see what the character will look like in the game world. The face preview is inadequate.

Killian is Dead.
Life is a brick house... seriously ?. Personally I'd rather go with something a little more catchy like a journey, or a box of chocolates.
