It's probably because of the profit tiers STEAM introduced, or that's part of the reason. The more money a game makes the better the cut gets. If you want to maximise you chances of reaching those tiers you raise the price. Short answer, it's all STEAM's fault for charging 30% for doing practically nothing.

I use it for Tekken and Darksouls, works like a charm.

It's out on consoles. You don't need a lot of PC power to match console performance unless it's horribly optimised or something.

Fortnite just looks like complete **** and yet it's a phenomenon that comes around like maybe once in a generation. I don't get it. Who are all the fortnite players. I don't actuallty know any.

I am at my 34th attempt at Darkeater Midir on new game 5. Running out of embers. Going to start newgame 6 with a mage build just so I can AOE mist that mf. Of course when I do, he's going to get another health and damage boost.

My comic store is closing. Well, everyone from my generation's comic store in Copenhagen is closing. Lot of childhood memories. Sigh. I've made friends I still have today 20 years ago in that store.

Would have been better if STEAM offered incentives for units sold and not profits though. This forces prices up, not down, because developers want to maximize their chances of reaching the bonus tiers. If microtransaction malarkey counts towards the tiers, it's going to mean more of that as well.

Imagine you are Sony or Microsoft and you could have the same control over your marketplace and have no piracy and so on, and not be limited to selling to people who have bought your hardware. That's what gaming streaming services offer. It's a way to create a tectonic shift in the way people access games. Think of all the people who would never buy their hardware for any reason. There is currently no way for Sony or Microsoft to get their business with the titles offered exclusively on consoles. A streaming service just pushes frames to the end user, so there is really no need for a PC port. I think eventually, in like 10-20 years or so, this development will kill off consoles. They are extra hardware no one needs.

They are spending way too much time on the bizarre ruleset of the criminal underworld, whoever they are at the hotel where everything costs one gold coin, and it's not even remotely interesting. Jhon Wick 1 was just a revenge film with really decent stunt work. That's what made it good.

Well, I seem to remember an idea for Obsidian to create a storefront a while back, which nobody liked. Now with the blowback from Metro Exodus leaving STEAM and everything. The bad split offered by STEAM is getting passed to the customers because leaving is too much of a risk. As much as I like the convenience of STEAM, it is not without cost.

Is it true that there is no offline mode for EPIC. Because, yeah. That s a deal breaker for me.

The timing is bad, the exclusive is bad. I would need convincing, and there is no discount for me because I live in Europe. That said, what's the point in boycotting, just spend your money on something else. Same difference.

Kinda silly premise for a boycott isn't it though. I mean, if signing up to EPIC is such a hassle that it's doing to keep your from playing the game, congratulations, you are already boycotting the game. You don't need to make a big fuss about it.
