  1. but, the ascendancy of China is undeniable. Ten years ago Dalai Lama was successfully bringing attention to the problems of his displaced people, he was everything the west wanted an 'Arafat-like entity to be. Peace and harmony, willing to negotiate etc. Now he's toxic. No one in office takes the meeting out of fear of being shunned from the Chinese market.
  2. I noticed a piece on graft in the paper at work. The Danish brewery Carlsberg apparently has admitted to greasing the wheels to gain a foothold in the Chinese market, but wouldn't say exactly how much, and obviously couldn't say to whom or where. How do you put that on your tax return anyway, don't you have to declare it.
  3. Production goes where wages are the lowest. If you invest heavily in education though, you (a country) can be even richer than before all the manual labour jobs went overseas.
  4. I think it's more to do with the staggering number of man hours required to build one.
  5. A tricked out trike ?. That cancels out all his other achievements. Those are foul. http://i-beta.crackedcdn.com/phpimages/art...7/50277.jpg?v=1
  6. Why didn't they just go all out and chose Imperial March.
  7. Gasprom is not just about selling oil and gas, it's direct extension of domestic and foreign policy. Making money is not the only concern.
  8. To go back to the assertion about being 'strong'. What's so good about being strong, there are other adjectives I could think of ; Fair, level headed, reasonable. they all speak to intelligence. Some areas of the world just crave a strong father figure to make them feel all warm and cozy inside. It's a really short way from strong man to tyrant, but memory is selective as long as the strong man waves the flag around a lot.
  9. Anyway. you don't have to 'bow and scrape' if you aren't Japanese. Gaijin get a pass, so do it or don't. It doesn't matter.
  10. I'm so ****ing fed up with vampires.
  11. Or maybe Oby is just trying to be polite ?
  12. I'm gettting a new card anyway, I should be golden.

That's from the Libyan minister of information. You are aware that this is a totalitarian regime, and that what they put out is little more than smoke and mirrors designed to improve their odds in negotiations. Anyone remember that Iraqi minister of information, he was the funniest thing in the whole show. Fan of his work as well ?

    Wrong thread obviously.

One big change from original Witcher is that while the silly collectible sex cards from the first game are out, fully animated sex scenes are now in, with no shame or censor bars. This is the right way to go about it.

Actually no one is saying that it's like Vietnam, and it isn't. Except for it being a 'we are not really at war' war.
  17. All that still requires a water cooling cabinet right.

Military advisers. It's like Vietnam, except we would win it easy as pie. Instead we let it drag on for months on end.
  19. Will Farrel is one of my favorite bad actors. The fact that he isn't even trying to act, rather just trying to be funny. It works.
  20. Playing ice hockey once a week is the best way to stay in shape. That's the key. Do something that's fun, otherwise you wont be doing it a couple of weeks from now when your resolve wears off.
  21. Following game devs like they were rock stars. No. I have a life.
  22. It felt pretty mundane to me, but at least they ended on a high note. The less children taking up screen time the better. I hope the puppies are next.
  23. Changes in the top tiers are quite minor. 1 through 10 are effectively the same.
