  1. The kid didn't work as a cohesive device, I was losing patience a few seconds into the first dream sequence, not helped by the fact that it was unskippable.
  2. I would not have predicted this ****storm even knowing the weak ending in advance. I don't see how they could change the ending though, that is just not going to happen. It's a bit like the BSG final. They have all this dead meat of lore and plot collected over time that all points in different directions and no way to stitch it all together coherently. Not an enviable job. They could have stuck a narrator in there though, maybe the ships doctor. 'Let me tell you about the time I served on the Normandy', that kind of thing. Might have reduced the cheese to allowable levels.
  3. Not going on STEAM ever. Origin is trying to beat them at their own game. The import adds some extra flavor although the biggest choice you made had no influcence above a bit of dialouge whatsoever.
  4. Money has **** all do to with quality. The lunatic fringe is correct in this particular instance. Although generally speaking internet fan-rage is not much good for anything, it tends to prohibit any kind of dialouge and constructive critisism.
  5. I could get exited about a proper adon, but no one makes those anymore. If it's just going to be same size and scope as Me2 I don't think I'll give the game anymore thought.
  6. You kinda wish for a cover toggle button and a roll button rather than just the one button. I did nijna rolls practically everywhere, trying to activate consoles, running around etc. Still better with than without rolling though.
  7. Is there anyone who thinks the ending was good. (game journalists don't count) No ?. End of discussion.
  8. Is Obama really so bad that you would seriously consider one of these lunatics for running the country. Be careful you don't end up protest voting yourself into a worse situation.
  9. Today is international beef and blowjob day apparently. Hurry up and make your choice and petition the girlfriend before it's too late.
  10. The fact that people have to respec their characters for more dialouge options seems horribly ass backwards and revealing of a major design flaw in the reputation system.
  11. I wouldn't say light side/ dark side thing. It was more if you consistently played Shep one way rather then bounce between the two approaches.. Seriously, it wasn't that hard to have everyone survive. You did the loyalty missions, you picked up the ship upgrades. And you made a couple of common sense choices in regards to a> who can hack/deal with tech - ie: Tali, Legion or Kasumi, b> which characters have experience in leading teams (Garrus or Miranda pretty much, possibly Jacob), and c>who actually has serious biotic powers (either Samara or Jack).. I have no problem with a reputation system working in this manner, reflected in NPC dialouge responses. But, not having enough points should not prevent you from taking specific actions, and those unavailable options shouldn't be dangled right in front of you for no other reason than to piss you off either.
  12. Yes, you could. You just needed a truck load of renegade points to pull it off. I forget about the whole retarded light side/dark side point thing that forces you to chose whatever option is red or blue instead of what makes sense. If you want these special options that is. Legion died at the second checkpoint. After the swarms and biotich barrier thing. Hadn't picked him for anything at all.
  13. You couldn't actually chose Samara's daugther over Samara in Me2. I tired, Samara won anyway and didn't seem bothered by the experience.
  14. Just started a second playthrough. Really annoyed that I couldn't get the resolution I wanted for the Quarian missions because Legion had died in my imported game. That only happened because I had done too good a job and no one had died on the suicide mission up to that point, so the game just chose one at random for effect. I had all the loyalty missions etc.
  15. You don't need good harware to be a hacker. Any old laptop will do. What we know about them is that they are tech savy. Not how much they make a year. I don't pretend its statistically significant, but more than a few of the more famous ones are/were self taught
  16. So, anarchists with oversight and accountabiliy. That would be a first. I'll admit I still possess a weak spot for activists which isn't necessarily a reflection of what good they do, if any. It's still the little man sticking it to the system.
  17. it's not THAT bad. And theres lots of naked chicks.
  18. That's all well and good, but we switch perspective in the final cutscene. That wasn't intended to be doubious.
  19. How do you know. You still have a 0.5 multiplier.
  20. The readyness level is the multiplier. if its stuck at 50% for those who don't do multiplayer or any alternate platform thingie you lose half your military strengh, and so on.
  21. That's unsurprising. The US probably sees a lot of alternative use for an ex cold war strategic alliance against the Russians. The member states, not so much. The UN can't take up the cause of spreading democracy across he globe either, not all its member states are democracies. Besides, if it was as easy as defeating the Taliban and having someone else sort out the rest we would have been done a long time ago.
  22. That's true enough, but what we are propping up is corrupt as hell. Lesser of two evils.
  23. He went bat****, happens in combat. Not sure there is anything to learn from it.
