I mentally prepared my self for it to be crap, so I wasn't really disappointed and luckily I quit after ep.3.

I don't think it's even that, I think it's the fact that this is his foot through the door for making TV/Movies for some of his own stuff. Plus he stated that the showrunner listened to most of the suggestions he had, so it would not look good to badmouth the show after that. Also let's not exclude the option that he really does like the show.

I really hope that is the case, but somehow I don't think it is.

The Matrix 4 or Resurrections... I mean if it had to happen I guess I'm glad it happened like this. Take a look at Chainsaw Man when it comes out next year.

I finished book 1 and quit somewhere around 1/3 of the second book, I quit at almost the same point in the TV show. This series made me understand that I dislike low/dirt fantasy. As for why I watched the TV show, I couldn't tell you. I guess I knew how popular the book series was and thought that I would maybe like it more in this format.

The problem with GoT the TV series is the same one the books will have, the expectations are so high it's going to be very hard to meet them. Disclaimer: I didn't like the books or the series.

Finished S2 of The Witcher, definitely a step up from S1. I didn't mind the changes from the books at all to be honest. Hoping they take it somewhere better then the books did, or to be more precise I'm hoping they arrive at the ending with a more interesting story. I wouldn't mind them using the bones of the books.

The story is very good and I only watched the last 2 expansions, but sadly it's still an MMO and the gameplay and quests look absolutely boring and like a chore.

Agree with you on the step up in quality, disagree about the changes from the books, at least in this particular case. Apart from the short stories (the first two books) each book following then had a steady drop in quality. I hope they do something different with the story, as the last 2 books were painful to read.
