  1. They'll take our gaaarmsss...
  2. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. So far the weakest Ghibli movie for me. I think that if it was a little shorter it would have been better. The latter half of the movie kind of dragged on for me and I found myself skipping through some of the action scenes. All that being said it's still good, just that it didn't quite live up to the rest of them.
  3. Meh, a creepy white guy would have worked much better. Something like
  4. @Bartimaeus hahaha, while watching it I was thinking the whole time how you would dislike it as it was really random.
  5. Ponyo. The story of the fearless mother...scratch that, the woman was born with no fear. This one was a little trippy, in a good way though.
  6. I haven't either for much the same reasons as you. When FO3 came out I played it and wasn't impressed, so when New Vegas came out I just ignored it.
  7. I don't know if FK is still a thing, but they organized missions all the time. There are a couple of streamers too that make missions nowadays, but I don't know how much of a faff it is to get in to one of those missions.
  8. +1 for Children of Dune. Great mini series.
  9. It will to those who already play it.
  10. Castle in the Sky. I have a vague memory of watching this as a kid...more like a familiar feeling...the robots are the clearest memory of having seen this before... I have to say it was a pleasure, aside from it being a Ghibli production, it felt nice "rediscovering" it so to say. A couple of more to go. Been thinking maybe instead of watching the Grave of Fireflies, I give JoJo a go after this...
  11. Really?
  12. I think the issue was that there was no room to include the last few previous post in the new thread.
  13. It's even worse for the PS5 if you use their fancy vibrations.
  14. Finished Porco Rosso. I was really under the impression that Totoro and Porco Rosso where more kid oriented movies, but there really is something for everybody in them (although Totoro would be more child friendly (nowadays at least)). That got me even more interested tbh.
  15. I didn't catch that recommendation, I'll give it a go.
  16. I know, I meant after I finished Miyazaki's stuff and fill up on the good vibes I give it a go. It's been on my to watch list for a long time, but I know the story is gonna leave me a wreck so I haven't seen it yet.
  17. Decided to watch all the Miyazaki movies I haven't seen. My Neighbor Totoro being the first of them. Time well spent. Maybe...maybe I'll muster up my courage and watch Grave of the Fireflies after that.
  18. Rent a portable forklift and it should make things much easier, unless it's on the second floor.
  19. You very well could be right. I am certainly looking at it subjectively as someone who has read the manga for years. I like it. But it could be for the simple reason that at the point in my life I was over saturated by the Fantasy genre and this was simply something fresh and new. Book one leaves you dizzy and confused as you are simply dropped in the universe and left to figure stuff out for yourself, but by the end of the book you start to get your bearings and connect some of the dots. I personally had issues with the tail end of the series and the harsh plot shifts that some books had. One of these days I will create a manga thread.
  20. @Bartimaeus
  21. Decided to punish my self by watching Your Lie in April. It's no longer on netflix...Guess I'll go and sleep.
  22. I went in to it hoping to sink the evening watching it. Plans ruined...
  23. Watched the first (it's weekly go figure) episode of Komi-san can't communicate and I have to say they did a pretty good job.
