Iraq had decent weaponry. They were missing some serious AAs in the rank of S300. I think the bigger issue is that they were constantly being depleted by previous wars.

I only heard about the Iraq comparison when people are talking about how long it took the US to finish the invasion (around 50 days I think). The trouble is Ukraine has a much more difficult environment to traverse, it's cities are denser and taller and the US carpet bombed ahead of it's troops.

Finished Fringe. I kind forgot it's flaws, in that it suffered from the detective and the buddy formula, but it grew out of that as the series progressed. All in all it holds up well.
