  1. I just hope people with brains there are actually trying to solve the problems with nuclear energy and fossil fuels before making plans to make my MP3 player 5% more energy efficient.
  2. Ha. HAHA. HAHAHA. Just don't assume to know in which situations I have been, and how I'm supposed to react in them please. People react very differently to extreme stress, (extreme stress is all that a life or death situation really is), some totally lose their mind, some freeze, some are hysterical, some stay calm, some slow down..... Every person is different and you only know how they react if they're exposed to that stress, you cannot predict their behavior. I have been in life or death situations, and I remember the more dangerous things got the calmer and level headed I got, in fact, a little too calm. If that hadn't been the case I wouldn't be able to write this post here because I would have made the wrong choices and I'd be dead.
  3. I stumbled across the pics, and all I can say is YAWN. Don't get what all the fuss is about, its like people have never seen semi-naked women before. Must be an American thing.
  4. I had my fair share of family emergencies, but I've always managed to keep a cool head and to think before doing anything stupid that might even escalate the situation. There is no excuse for panicking. Ever.
  5. I always wanted much more powerful, energy guzzling cleaners, cleaners powerful enough to suck in bugs the size of mice, the occasional zombie and other small vermin I might encounter behind one of my desks or in my couch. And now this.
  6. Those that have sensitive material on their mobile devices or computers that are hooked to an Internet connection must expect theft and publishing of said data. I do not approve of the hacks at all, but they had it coming.
  7. I just read in the news that, here in Austria, 3 people died in a dried out well shaft. A man accidentally fell into it, lost consciousness due to the gas that had collected on the bottom, then the son-in-law climbed down and lost consciousness and last but not least the pregnant wife did the same thing with the same result. A whole family, wiped out just like that. Even if I panicked I would not climb down a well shaft because I KNOW that scentless and invisible gases down there can and will kill you and that rescue without a rope and protection mask isn't only impossible but also possibly lethal. I don't want to talk badly about people that died in such a tragic way but...... People, I don't understand them.
  8. Only BG1? Remember, in BG2 we had to fight a grave robbing adventurer group in the Windspear hills, in the ruins. Also there was another hostile adventurer group in the temple district in the closed off estate to the east (two mages, one kensai, a priest, a thief, one minotaurs and an Orog. - really hard fight and awesome loot), plus the group in the temple district sewers. There was also another adventurer group encounter at Waukeens promenade, on the second floor of a tavern to the north-east. There was a barbarian named ''Orkslicer'' who had a cursed two handed berserk sword. And I'm sure I forgot one or two of those encounters. Anyway, not fighting an enemy adventurer group is actually one of my biggest gripe in all the RPGs after Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, IMO the ultimate and most entertaining battle is against another group just like yours. Extremely hard, fun battle and great loot.
  9. 99% of the nonsensical laws the EU craps out can explained with bribery. Nobody gives a f*** about how much power you can save with freaking vacuum cleaners. Bribery lead to the law against the common light bulb, now its vacuum cleaners. There is probably some big vacuum cleaner manufacturer that wants to sell more of their ''green'' cleaners and they have greased the right palms for a head start / monopole. Or maybe they only want to hurt their competitors. Many of the EU officials responsible for such laws are known to work together very closely with a big variety of multi million Euro companies. Its all just a big farce, nothing more.
  10. I loved Icewind Dale so this is a no-brainer for me.
  11. Renegade (2004) I like this movie, its strange for sure but the picture is really beautiful and the drug hallucination scenes, which are excellent, remind me of Tool music videos. Don't understand the low rating.
  12. I just bench pressed 1.5 times my own weight, 2 repetitions, with acceptable form, on the flat bench. Mission accomplished, only took me a few years to get there.
  13. I don't get how its possible for cyclists to ignore so many traffic rules, I mean driving when the lights are red, ignoring stop signs and all that? If I were doing that I surely would be dead in a matter of days. Cycling in traffic is already damn dangerous even if you are really careful.
  14. So Skynet is going to make the majority of the population go bankrupt before releasing its robots to kill everyone? Thats worse than what happened in the movies.
  15. Depends on the mood of the individual driver.
  16. Of course there are stop signs in Austria. When I'm on the bike I want to be as predictable to the car drivers as possible so they don't run me over, so I obey all the traffic laws and act exactly like a motorcycle. But I don't drive through busy towns or cities very often, I mainly drive on country roads and speedways, my typical cycling tour road looks like this: I never use cycling lanes because they're a.) often filled with cyclists that are way too slow for me and (only used by older people, those who do not bike competitively and other sub humans) b.) they're always bumpy and dirty as hell. Cycling lanes are way more dangerous than simply taking the road.
  17. I've heard they're currently fighting close to an Ukrainian reactor. The Ukraine is not far away from Austria, and Chernobyl is still in everyones mind around here, I just hope they don't pepper the facility with a couple of their dumb BM-21 Grad or we might get another nuclear accident here. This sucks.
  18. Cool, go ahead and grab one. You still need a rifle though. And a shotgun. And a precision rifle. *edit* - forgot the MG42. You definitely need one.
  19. Would this this be your first firearm? If its target shooting I recommend the most popular sixgun there is, the Smith & Wesson 686 in 357. The 6'' version has a nice sight radius which results in good precision, you can shoot the weaker (And cheaper) 38spc out of it if the 357 has too much steam for you (weakass). Used ones run for 450 I think, its made from stainless steel so you'll never have to worry about rust. You cannot go wrong with a 686. Also, if you ever want to use it for actual home defense, the 158 grain HP .357 has a one shot stopping rate of 96%. By the way, thats the gun Rick of TWD used in Season 1-2.
  20. Why a revolver? And what for? Target shooting, home defense, plinking, competition?
