  1. I laughed tears watching this video. I've never seen a more incompetent rally car driver, the co pilot is SCREAMING the directions, the car spins and flies off the road several times at ultra low speeds, the driver couldn't shift properly if his life depended on it.... And some of the YT comments are golden. Pure comedy.
  2. I couldn't agree with you more! Its a shame that I was born just when the great era of motor sports imploded. In the 80's race cars developed several thousands of lbs of down force thanks to huge barely restricted wings/underwings with engines achieving in excess of 1200 hp and max speeds of 245mph / 400kmh in Le Mans. Group B rally cars weighing next to nothing had 500hp turbo mid engines, Formula 1 cars raced on super wide rubbers and 1000 hp turbo engines, Pikes Peak was still a dirt track, Le Mans still had a straight without those stupid chicanes.... Nowadays racing is so..sterile and castrated. Its just sad.
  3. ....what I wanted to write is IMpressed.
  4. Started watching the series Battlestar Galactica just to see what all the fuzz is (or was) about; I'm currently at episode #3 and....I'm not pressed.. Starbuck and Adama are awesome though.
  5. This is one cute looking little moth, very nice pic.
  6. If you enjoy that kind of motor sport as much as I do you totally have to check out this vid:
  7. The key indicator that it's not Britain is that someone has laid a rural road successfully. Oh come on, Brits build bumpy patchy unnecessarily winding country roads on purpose because they're just all hardcore rally fans. We would not have awesome tarmac rally stages like this without those clever British road constructors:
  8. Oh, my bad, forgot to mention its an eclipse of the sun, the really cold monochrome winter weather makes the sun almost look like a moon.
  9. Some are just special. This pic is a pretty good example of what the landscape looks like where I live. Old picture I found on my memory card of my DC, partial eclipse on a winter morning.
  10. Venice of course!
  11. Just gave another stock the final linseed-oiling, that tiger stripe walnut looks gorgeous. Wood is still oily...
  12. Not that I know of. Possible, but I don't know anybody that would play such a dumb prank on me.
  13. That was my first reaction as well.
  14. Something creepy happened today. I was shopping when I received a call on my cell phone from my telephone in my home, I answered the call but I couldn't hear anything but static. The funny things is I locked the doors when I left and nobody was in my house or supposed to be in my house, it was like the beginning of a third-class horror movie or a scene in the movie ''The Mothman Prophecies.'' I called my relatives and friends if this one of their pranks and told them that this would be a very bad idea but everyone was at work at that time. Drove home as fast as I could, grabbed my shotgun -not expecting any trouble but just for precaution- but everything was fine, as expected. Damn witches playing tricks on me, I guess I have to call the inquisition once again and let them burn a few suspicious women here.

  16. If the weather gets any hotter I have to build me something like this: Or install an AC in my car:
  17. I hope we're going to get really deep dungeons with that Jule Verne -ish vibe to them, lots of exploration of the strange environment that gets increasingly alien the deeper you get. I want to see strange crystal structures, florescent plants, extremely rare herbs, small passages the group has to squeeze through with the occasional huge cavern..... Like a more extreme version of the Underdark in Icewind Dale 2. Oh, and I want to see LOTS of florescent crystals / plants so I never have to see dungeons no adventurer has set a foot in in centuries lit up with big convenient torches everywhere, again. Or extremely bright ambient lighting that comes from nowhere. Surely the devs will come up with a clever plausible combination of natural light sources.
  18. I'm getting cooked alive. The weather is trolling me, 39 Celsius? Seriously? And the coming week will be just as hot? Temperate climate? Ha ha ha, don't make me laugh. Yesterday a friend of mine was in a restaurant where the waiter -who was from Ghana- complained about the heat-, he said that such hot temperatures were nothing special where he used to live but the close proximity to the ocean resulted in comfortable cool breezes that made the heat somewhat bearable. You know its really hot when Africans living in your country start to complain about the temperature.
  19. And people honestly think that the government is so concerned about child pornography that they launch an Internet censorship system? Thats beyond naive. This is how it begins.
  20. Even though it was the hottest day in the recorded history of Austria I still totally enjoyed riding my bike, did about 60 kilometers with an average speed of ~ 35km/h. What a perfect summer day, no clouds that blocked the sun even once, the water of the Danube river was sparkling beautifully, golden cornfields and gnarled apple trees along the country roads, the smell of fresh-cut hay and flowers in the air, groups of impressive anvil-shaped Cumulonimbus clouds in the far distance..... Life can be so beautiful sometimes. Surely a day to remember in cold dark never ending winters.
  21. Favorite track from my favorite game that plays in my favorite mission.
  22. It counts as a special kind of office, a so called hell office. My demon boss loves to feed on the pain and agony of its thralls. Austria is a strange country climate-wise. We have freaking cold long winters often reaching temperatures below -20 degrees / -4F and our average summer day reaches temperatures of around 28-30 degree Celsius / 85F, but sometimes it gets especially hot, up to 38 degree Celsius or even 40 (100F). Only the hardest survive in my country, thats why we Austrians are clearly the master race.
