  1. Me too, if the same amount of blatant misinformation and hyperbole is in all the other newspaper articles then I'm really terrified of todays media. 2.2mm bullets? Yeah right, that ''22'' of the caliber is not 2.2 millimeters nor 22 millimeters, its inches, making it a 5.56mm bullet, probably a very popular. 22lr. And what the hell are machinegun bullets? ''Machinegun bullets'' don't exist. But machinegun sounds so cool and dangerous they just had to use it.
  2. Maybe, but lines like: The mans balls are so tiny he can't live in a home were they found some old ammo (which has been removed!) because this was such a traumatizing experience (?) and judging by the facial expression of the wife she has no clue of whats going on around her. I can only imagine what kind of sheltered life those two had. This is pure comedy.
  3. I just chuckled, British couple absolutely terrified of some old corroded ammunition they found in their garden. Oh noes, please for the love of god don't hurt me old dangerous ammunition! Take my wife, take my money but spare my life! *collapses and cries* Oh humanity... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2350657/Couple-discover-7-500-machine-gun-shotgun-pistol-bullets-garden-weeding-pond.html#ixzz2YK4uEnwP
  4. I just wiped my butt with.... Hello Kitty Kiss toilet paper.Totally had to buy it. Now I've seen everything.
  5. I had a total nightmare last night, in my dream I was carrying my trusty old shotgun on a sling when it slipped off my shoulder and hit the concrete floor really hard muzzle-first. When I picked the gun up to check it for damage the whole rather thin barrel was bent. Thats when I woke up, I immediately ran to my safe to check my shotgun for any damage. *wipes away sweat*
  6. Tested one of my rifle reloads for pressure signs, some little cratering on the primer but everything else seems to be fine, no primer flattening, no excessive case neck growth, no base bulging, no swelling from the extractor pocket, easy bolt lift and case extraction, no primer pocket swelling, no signs of gas leakage. My guess is its pretty much at the max SAAMI pressure limit. Like all my reloads for my rifles, low power ammo is boring.
  7. See? Flippant taunts are still the best way to smartly convince people! And my boss told me not to do that when calling customers, hes been so wrong....
  8. Antje Traue is not just super hot shes also a good actor you pinhead.
  9. Thats called age related testosterone decline. Just kidding, music tastes change as life changes, happens. What I did today is accidentally destroying my favorite shirt, wanted to scratch my back, riiiiip. And no, it wasn't even that tight! Maybe I can repair it but I doubt my novice sewing skills can unf*ck it. Just buy a new shirt? Hah! Easier said than done, with all that hipster garbage replacing all the good fashion in stores buying clothes has become the search for the hay in the needle-stack.
  10. Checked my gmail account for the first time in weeks and realized that I had one unread mail from a month ago; turned out its not just one of those countless spam mails I forgot to delete but an auto message from my Nine Inch Nails abo about a freaking new album. Yes. That might not sound so special to you unless YOU'RE A GODDAMN HYPER HUGE NINE INCH NAILS FANBOY LIKE ME! And now excuse while I cry buckets of tears of joy. Album cover:

  12. Everybody needs at least one hobby. What about exercising? Its fun, time consuming, not very cost intensive and has a ton of healthy side effects. What I did today: Finally received my 7.62mm 240 grain SMK's which I ordered 4 weeks ago. Left to right: 150 grain FB, 168 grain SMK, 220 grain SMK, 240 grain SMK. According to my calculator if launched at 810 m/s this ones gonna be good out to 1500 meters easily. For comparison, the 168 is only good for about 1000 even though its velocity is much faster.
  13. Don't you have any hobbies that do not require friends? Thanks to my time consuming strenuous hobbies I don't even notice that I'm alone most of the times.
  14. I said its very (too) powerful and it gives even people without or little training a lot of destructive power, and that anybody can use it. Since weight will be existing in PE assuming there will be equipment and/or spells that will affect it is only logical. We have to wait and see what kind of inventory we're going to get but I really doubt it that we will not able to store heavy loot like armor in our inventory. (and I don't mean the ''deep central stash-away inventory''). Armor weighs a lot more than any grenade, unless we're talking about heavy artillery. No, I've never said its a flawless design, I said its more potent than all the other weapons, that it requires little training to use, its easy to mass produce, it can defeat any armor and anybody can use it. And really, explosives aren't unreliable, I don't know where you got that from, sounds a lot like a cheap excuse to make it balanced. Thats the reason why we're not fighting with swords and shields anymore, explosives and guns, while not being perfect by any means are much more powerful and easy to use.
  15. No, no they couldn't. That's why heavily armored knights dominated the battlefield for 300-400 years after the invention of gunpowder. Wrong. They dominated the battlefield 700 years after the invention of gunpowder, the first time the combination of charocal, saltpeter and sulfur was mentioned was approx 800AD, China. You forgot that gunpowder wasn't invented in Europe where the knights dominated the battlefield, it took time for that formula to reach Europe over the silk trade (late 13th century), and it took more time for those early alchemists to produce the ingredients and refine it, it didn't and couldn't happen overnight. However, when they got it working and invented weapons that could utilize this new power it changed the battlefields pretty rapidly. You have never fired a matchlock gun, have you? I have, you can teach anyone how to operate, shoot and hit with such weapon in an hour, and contrary to popular belief they can hit man sized targets up to 40yds away very reliably, its 50yds where they start to get really inaccurate. Simple people armed with matchlock muskets could very well shoot and kill heavily armored knights with very little training. It is. And I don't know that lecture you're speaking of.
  16. No, its a Savage. TRGs have plastic stocks, this one is made of aluminum.

  18. Totally on purpose I suppose? You're a true master! Since we're showing weapons, my .338LM. Shoots like that with my handloads at 110 yds, 5 shots: (the one flier was totally my fault)
  19. Nah, I don't. Non-issue in games where girdles of ogre strength, bags of holding and characters that can carry multiple plate suits in their inventory exist. Not to mention PE will have one central inventory. Explosives is a very powerful weapon system, but like any other weapon system it has its limitations. Yep. However, the gun also has several advantages, it can store and release the energy with a trigger pull like the crossbow, it can penetrate the front of a plate armor, penetrate the knights body and often even exit the back of the plate. Very few weapons could do that other than firearms, like the cumbersome huge siege Arbalests. A lowly peasant with very little training could kill a knight which were almost invulnerable back then.
  20. Yeah, and I always wondered why it wasn't used by pretty much everybody. All of my party members had a couple of those oils in their quick slots. It was pretty fun to watch them all throw their firebombs at once and enemies drown in a sea of fire. Its still harder to hit a moving knight and kill him instantly with a perfect shot than throwing a grenade in a bunch of people.
  21. I don't know about the saltpeter shortage, but I think the demand for gunpowder was SIGNIFICANTLY higher in the 19th century when it was used for big artillery and countless platoons of riflemen than in the 15th or 16th century where it was used for some musketeers and other small arms. I imagine powder mills met the small demands of the 15-16th century military very easily. Thats IMO the only way to balance things without making gunpowder either stupidly weak or having implausible excuses for the rarity/absence of firearms. Incorrect, explosive ammunition and grenades have been used in the 30 year war, also Napoleons troops excessively used grenades in artillery and hand held mortars in anti-infantry roles. 18th century flintlock grenade launcher: By the way, Napoleon even used chemical ammunition! Explosive artillery grenades filled with chalk. Nasty.
  22. Yes, gunpowder is like magic with the only difference that anybody can use it, a child could be a fireball throwing wizard that way. Equip your soldiers with some of those inexpensive and easy to produce grenades and they can break formations and wipe out entire groups of enemies with ease. Not really, they were in fact highly reliable and very effective, it was an iron ball with a cavity inside (made of two parts molded together) filled with compressed gun powder, sealed with a lead plug with a hole for the fuse and some wax. Fuse cords are very reliable and easy to make out of nitrated hemp. Gunpowder doesn't discriminate, powerful explosives can rip unarmored people to shreds and squish people in plate mail like tin cans. Of course the effects can be watered down to balance the game, but I think its better to just leave it out completely instead of having to jump through hoops to make it work.
