I totally crashed in the office today, I couldn't do anything at all because the bloody heat is making me slow and tired like a snail, my blood pressure dropped down to the single digits area. And people wonder why I'm such a nightowl. Can it be autumn please?

Every country that is a member of the EU absolutely has to have a proof house, that calculates and measure data in a standardized format (I think its called SAAMI). For example every single gun that gets manufactured in the UK (Accuracy International for example, makes world-class sniper rifles for the Brit & Swedish army and even US special forces) goes first to the UK proof house before its gets shipped overseas or sent to the Brit army. A gun NOT bearing the crest of the proof house on its barrel and receiver must not be sold or shipped. Guns that bear the crest of proof houses from overseas, like guns shipped from the US have to be test-fired again by an EU certificated proof house or the gun must not be sold. There was a case of unsafe firearms not too long ago, I think it was Turkish break action shotguns they test fired with a 30% overcharged round. Even though they fired standard spec rounds just fine the slightly overcharged round blew them to pieces. They built those guns with no safety margin. Needless to say that this shotgun is not available here in Austria. Proof houses have existed long before they got a mandatory institution, as far as I remember our proof house is 350 years old, they tested muzzle loaders there. I agree, their service is invaluable for a handloader like me. It would be nigh impossible for me to have all that super expensive equipment to measure the loads myself.

Indeed! I send my loads to the national proof house in Vienna (the lab that tests commercial ammunition and test fires guns with overcharged ammunition to ensure they're sound and safe) and they test my loads for a small fee of 25 bucks. They measure the pressure in copper units, velocity, bullet energy, calculate extreme spread of that data etc. I only send them my hottest loads or loads that stray far from the powder manufacturers max load suggestions to be sure I'm not shooting overpressure ammunition in my guns that have the potential to blow my face off. I DO have a very reliable computer program that calculates pressure and velocity of my loads but only the proof house data gives me certainty.

Just got the results from my hand loads from the proof house, looking at the data the load looks very promising, only 6 meters / 16 feet per second extreme spread, thats a 0,7% spread of velocity between the rounds. Cant get any better than that. Pressure is also mild, I can add another two grains to increase the velocity to approx 810 m/s / 2650 fps easily. And thats with a 240 grain .308 bullet, by far the heaviest most streamlined bullet available in this caliber, this might be a good 1500 meter load right here.

Update #60: Camaraderie
Woldan replied to BAdler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
I want to be at least 10 miles high! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RLuP9BjVCg Love the update, I almost feel like a yes-man but every update made my anticipation for the game grow significantly. I really can't find anything to complain about. I have just one question about..... When you mentioned that those signature items will be ''very Torment and Baldur's gate, will said special items be removable? Several companions in BG2 had non-removable special equipment and late in the game those items got hopelessly outclassed or some of those items didn't even do anything but blocking an item slot.- 123 replies

Have you tried drop sets? Works wonders to break those dreaded plateaus! With drop sets I got over my chest-plateau fairly easily, those work wonders. Just use your standard weight barbell and do one normal set of shoulder presses, then when you are finished don't make a break but grab a barbell 20% lighter than the one you just lifted and do as many reps as possible. If you're really motivated do a second drop set with a barbell again weighing 20% less. Drop sets hurt but are more effective than anything else. I don't know if this is the official name of that exercise but I've got a couple of results with '' leg reverse curl''. Here is a link to a short basic description of said exercise: http://www.muscleandfitnesshers.com/training/legs/reverse-leg-curl

I do a lot of barbell lunges as well which are great for improving my behind and hamstrings, dead lifts too. While my upper body is stronger I'm not lacking core strength or hamstrings. But this exercise is still a miracle to me. Maybe its only possible to do when you either have monster-hamstrings, really short legs or when you don't weigh a lot?

There are definitely some wicked gymnastic exercises. My sister goes to a belly dance course and she showed me some of the gymnastic exercises they do, I tried them for fun once and man, those were hard! You need a lot of muscle control and flexibility when performing them. But there's also some crazy body weight exercises, pistol squats for example are extremely demanding and you need a good balance to do them properly. But the hardest exercise I know is this one: I know, doesn't look that impressive but I tell you, I squat a lot of weight but I can't do even one rep of this exercise. I also don't know anybody who can do it properly. Give it a try!

Reps = repetition. 6 sets / stints of 8 repetitions = total of 48 repetitions. Thanks! I'll never reach Arnies physique because I don't give a damn about weight gain shakes or food supplements, I also find risking my health with roids just for some extra muscles extremely uninteresting. Not to mention roid muscles look bloated and ugly, they don't have that ''hard'' natural look you get when you are exercising naturally. In my military service time there was that guy in my squad who took roids, always flexing and laughing at the weights I was lifting. He was at least 1/3 bigger than me! A couple of months later he got dismissed from service because he suddenly had to pay the price for drug abuse - his joints were ruined permanently and he was in severe pain, he couldn't perform the physical tasks he was required to do (obstacle course, different firing positions) and -I'm really not kidding- he left the barracks in a wheel chair. Roids aren't worth it. Who would have thunk it?

Dumbbell flies 54kg drop sets 10 reps 4 sets, seated military shoulder presses 74kg 8-6 reps 4 sets, dumbbell bench press 105kg 8-6 reps 4 stints. Man, I really cant wait for winter because weight lifting on hot humid summer days is painful, during the cold winter time I can exercise like a beast. Unfortunately according to the weather forecast we can expect temperatures breaking the 40 Celsius mark here. Damn.

Many of these women posted here would be attractive if it weren't for their blatantly ugly falsies. Their beauty docs should be stoned to death with cheap silicone implants.- 610 replies

More than enough if I raid my defenseless farmer neighbors once in a while to boost my food and slave supplies. Joking aside, around 40 kg of potatoes, 15kg parsnips, about 20-30kg of zucchini,..and I have no idea about the rest. I'm planning on increasing the potato output by at least 100% next year with doubling the crop area and trimming the trees so that the plants get more sunlight.
-
Just harvested my first garden grown zucchinis, they're really big this year. They're longer than my forearm + hand! My potatoes: More potatoes: Some of my parsnips:

I was sitting on my terrace repairing & oiling a rifle stock (on a hot day the pores of the wood open up and accept oil more easily) and worked on it so intensively that I failed to notice that it was burning hot. I mean, 100F/ 39C hot. 4 hours later I didn't feel so good so I took a nap and now I feel like arse. Guess I'm having a mild heatstroke, my head feels like a smoldering piece of charcoal.
