  1. Someday, maybe. It's up to Obsidian. Unlikely, but who cares. The PS4 can't beat a $2000 dollar PC, but it is still a powerful machine based on the newest technology.
  2. I never wrote that Justin isn't talented. I never implied that either.
  3. Sorry, I meant a "professional musician" with more talent than Justin Bell. Favorably someone with a degree in music and composition and not in sound design.Yeah, except Justin has a degree in compositioApart from that he also has multiple years of experience scoring for tv and movies. A short trailer is not a reason to demean him forever. There were better (no offense justin) composers that made bigger missteps. Not to mention it's easy to see how this could have gotten wrong. Among other things general direction that he was given and trying to evoke the first PE kickstarter video music. Which I imagine is why the first part doesn't mesh well with the second. Yeah, I just googled him, he does have a degree in music composition. Anyway, I guess you're right, it probably isn't wise to jump to conclusions. I was not impressed by the music in the teaser and I'll just leave it at that. Obsidian should decide what they think is best.
  4. More companions would be great. I'd also like to see more animations and more/better magical effects (yes, I am aware of the fact that the animations in the video are still at a pre-alpha stage and not finished). If you think you can improve the animations by adding another animator to the team, then make that a stretch goal.
  5. Sorry, I meant a "professional musician" with more talent than Justin Bell. Favorably someone with a degree in music and composition and not in sound design. Really trying hard not to hurt any feelings, eh? Yeah, well, if you tell somebody that they didn't do a good job, then feelings are going to be hurt. That is how it works, as sad as it is.

  7. Graphics are very nice. Music is meh. The animations need some work (but look great for pre-alpha). The title doesn't exactly roll off the tounge, but it will suffice. oh, and here is heh-heh number 2:
  8. I watched Pillars of Eternity teaser video. Lets just say I was not impressed with the music. At all. I hate to say it, but Obsidian should really think about contacting some professional musicians to write the music for PoE. , they did a great job. It is some of the best - if not the best - music I have ever heard in a video game. I don't want to hurt any feelings, but this had to be said.
  9. The game was delayed for over a year and is now finally being released... Was it really that bad?
  10. And Sawyer does not like Baldur's Gate 2, he strongly dislikes it. Actually that's not logically true; what he says it that there was not much he did like about it. That doesn't mean that there was a lot he didn't like about it. He actually only mentions disliking 3 things - he could be neutral to the remainder. So, you like/love Baldur's Gate right? So, basically there is not a whole lot that you like about it, right? How contradictory. lol Oh look what Josh said about Baldur's Gate: "Basically, there wasn't a whole lot I did like about [baldur's Gate 2]" And as we have just learned from Amentep, not liking a lot about a game means that you really like it. Baldur's Gate 2 improved upon Baldur's Gate and I personally liked BG2 more. I guess in Amentep's retardo world that means that I disliked Baldur's Gate. I don't remember that - do you have a link? I remember him saying that he wanted to do a game like BG and IWD and PST - I think all the Obs people did. But I don't remember him saying that he wanted to do a game that specifically was exactly (or nearly) like Baldur's Gate. Not saying it didn't happen - I never read all the interviews and press and things so could have missed it, but it'd certainly elucidate your feelings on the issue. Yes, they said they are aiming for a Baldur's Gate style game, because that is what the fans want. At least that is what Feargus originally said, maybe the plans have changed and they are making a dungeon crawler with planescape like narrative. heheh Guess I have to find the link(s). Oh, this is now war. I will point out this little fact out whenever there is an update and watch the drogs go nuts. You can thank the drogs for pissing me off, especially C2B.
  11. You quoted me assuming I was talking about Josh Sawyer, when I was in fact talking about the other people in this thread who have expressed criticism of BG2 while also exclaiming that BG1/2 are some of their favorite games, of which you went ahead and insulted them for it. That is why I was confused, because what I said wasn't about Josh Sawyer, so I assumed that you thought it was about me. So I don't think it's me who's the drog. Do they also say that they dislike Baldur's Gate like Josh Sawyer did, drog? Did they say that? No? I rest my case drog. More like you just ignore anyone's points that address the plausibility of your statements and continue repeating the same story over and over. Oh, so you're not just completely ignoring the fact that Josh Sawyer hates Baldur's Gate and repeating the same bull**** over and over? :D Ok, I see that you have run out of arguments, so you have turned to trolling tactics by attacking me personally.
  12. Are you a fan or a religious zealot? Nothing is immune to criticism. Lay off the bues drog. I don't criticize it, because I love the game. Although I am open to debate and critque. Sawyer says he strongly dislikes the game and points out his criticism, which is quite different. Understand? No? Didn't think so. Jeez, another drog. Would you like to point out me where I said that you dislike Baldur's Gate?
  13. Woops, my bad. I misunderstood because your counter argument is completly out of context and as such does not make any sense at all. I tried to fix the post with my response though. *grin*
  14. "Basically, there wasn't a whole lot I did like about [baldur's Gate 2]" I can post this another 20 times if you like. EDIT: Makes sense now.
  15. And Sawyer does not like Baldur's Gate 2, he strongly dislikes it. I love Baldur's Gate 2 also, even if it is not perfect. But I don't critcize it, even though there is some room for minor improvement. I defintely don't say that I dislike most of Baldur's Gate 2 like Sawyer does. :D So your point is that somebody who strongly dislikes Baldur's Gate 2 can keep his promise and deliver a Baldur's 2 style game? I guess that means that somebody who dislikes or hates shooters can make the best shooter EVER! hahaha. Amentep logic: -10 Feargus said many times, that they are aiming to make a Baldur's Gate style game, so that is what I am expecting. This is also what I demand. I'm not trolling, you are just pissed off that I am pointing out that the lead designer strongly dislikes the Baldur's Gate series. Abnd you keep on nagging me about that too. Must suck to live in denial.
  16. OH NO, you uncovered my secret identity! lol. What are you going to do now? Are you going to ban me from the internet? hahahah And yes, it is completely normal to criticize games that you really like or love, and also to say that there is very little that you actually like about the game. Doesn't make sense, I know. But that is what you just wrote. Just keep denying the truth if it makes you feel better.
  17. I'm amazed by the amount of people who loved Baldur's Gate and want a spiritual successor so bad that they backed project eternity, yet they allegedly also hate Baldur's Gate just like the lead designer, Josh Sawyer. LOL Either you guys are complete morons, or you suffer from kind of lemming syndrome, and approve of anything and everything that Sawyer says, even if it is about his strong dislike for the game that we all know and love (Baldur's Gate 2). But Sawyer said that he will put elements into the game even if he does not like them and is not super thrilled about it. If he does not give the other producers (who hopefully actually like the Baldur's Gate series) a smackdown, then i'll leave it at that. By the way Josh, you do know that New Vegas city had a lot of quests too, right? Don't be a hypocrite and criticize Baldur's Gate 2 for having too many quests in one place (Athkatla), even though your game "suffers" from this too. (In my opinion it is fine in both games though). Also, how can you dislike Baldur's Gate 2 and criticize it's writing, yet LOVE Skyrim, even with it's horrible and boring story, writing and narrative? That does not make sense. Still mad that I refuse to read your walls of content lacking and badly constructed text? It's because you write like an illiterate drunkard you know. Not to mention that all you ever write about is how Sawyer's design decisions are 110% correct. Hell, Sawyer could turn this game into a shooter and you'd be okay with that too. lol. Until next time drog.
  18. *clicks link, clicks CTRL+F, types in "hate", 0 of 0 found* Oh, I'm sorry. He (strongly) "dislikes" the Baldur's Gate series. Better?
  19. So 7 years ago Sawyer hated Baldur's Gate and now all of a sudden YOU THINK he loves it? lol, I love your wild and baseless speculation. And that is why I accused you of being dense, because that makes absolutely no sense. You know, Sawyer could try to clear this up, but he refuses to answer. Must be his hate for Baldur's Gate, I'm sure he would answer if he loved the game. Oh well, I guess I will just have to keep on pointing out how much he hates the series. That isn't an opinion, it is a fact. He says so right here: "Basically, there wasn't a whole lot I did like about [baldur's Gate 2]" Either you have comprehension problems, or you are too stubborn to accept the fact that the lead designer of this game hates the Baldur's Gate series. Sawyer hates Baldur's Gate 2, he said so himself. If this person agrees with Sawyer, then he must also hate Baldur's Gate 2. I guess logic is not one of your strengths either.
  20. So you hate Baldur's Gate 2 also? Just like the lead designer of Project Eternity? Makes sense that you agree with Sawyer then. Just wait until the people actually play the game. I can hardly wait for peoples reaction when they find out that P:E is anything and everything but Baldur's Gate. Hell, while they pitched this game they should have just called it a "spiritual successor to Darklands", or "help Josh Sawyer, the guy who hates Baldur's Gate, make an isometric (not necessarily classic) game". Those pitches would have been much more approriate - and more honest too.
  21. What better way to capture the magic of the Inifinity Engine games, by having a lead designer that hates the most popular of them, i.e. the Baldur's Gate series. So that only leaves IWD and Planescape left. Does this mean we will be getting a dungeon crawler with a fantastic narrative? lol
  22. He said there was not much that he likes about it. So yeah, he disliked most of it. One of the greatest games ever made and now we are (supposedly) getting a spiritual successor... BUT the lead designer hates the spiritual predecessors (Baldur's Gate series). Especially the fantastic mage battles. LOL
  23. Since when is PE the spritual successor to Baldur's Gate only? Seems to me there is a lot of room in being the spiritual successor to BG, BGII, PST, IWD, IWD2 and expansions than you want to acknowledge to do a variety of things. What are you expecting then? ONLY an IWD2 style dungeon crawler with a narrative like in Planescape? Doesn't really sound much like Baldur's Gate to me. Yeah, it would be more appropriate, seeing that the lead designer hates the Baldur's Gate series. Even during the Kickstarter campaign the mentioned that P:E will resemble the Baldur's Gate series the most. They of course did not say that the lead designer hates the Baldur's Gate series though, that would have been honest, but also very bad marketing.
