  1. Change the gender of your MC, then you can: However, well, you can:
  2. Having good fun with Legend and the possible exploits you can come up with requires playing through the game normally. The metamagic exploit also works with mythic path spells in merged spellbooks, so in theory if you just slap Favorite Metamagic: Extend and Bolster on your Sorcerer, you could fill your spellbook with many of the Lich spells you get up until you switch to Legend, and they'd, well, still be in there. Lich Sorc/DD/EK to level 20 and then round out with something else that does decent melee oomph. Add 11 levels of Paladin for the supreme lolz of a Paladin casting Lich spells while killing things left and right with Grave Singer.
  3. For fun I just started the Inevitable Excess DLC and created a level 20 Gold Dragon character. Stats are naked, without buffs and a regular +5 Fauchard. Buff properly, debuff enemies, activate Perfect Strike and Dimensional Strike and whatever he's pointed at will certainly feel enough blunt trauma to run back home to mommy and cry, and if it for some reason doesn't, there's still his ability to cast True Strike at will. I was too lazy to make more than one screenshot, he also has Shatter Defenses and Cleaving Finish and can activate all sorts of weapon enhancements through his arcane pool (also has Archmage Armor). Grave Singer would yield x5 critical hits and would probably be the better weapon for the character. Probably not exactly what Owlcat had in mind when they designed the Gold Dragon mythic path, but, like, whatever. Edit: Fun Exploit of the Day: If you get any item that grants your character spells, you can apply metamagic to them. If you then remove the item in question, the regular versions will disappear. The metamagic'ed versions will remain. You know, just in case you ever wanted Ember or your Oracle MC to have Chain Lightning.
  4. I would not put it past a Russian 'navigational error' causing them to drill holes in the wrong pipelines, given the location of the leaks. Nord Stream AG is already complaining about sanctions making it impossible to determine the full extent of the pressure loss and repairing the damage, so that is going to be the new spin going forward, but it certainly is a downgrade in exertable pressure (edit: no pun intended, oh dear). One cannot dangle a carrot in front of a horse when it was cut off your stick, after all.
  5. They're not, but the pipeline's still pressurized - with the loss in pressure, it's now impossible to resume deliveries even if Russia wanted to, or turn Nord Stream 2 on. Curious timing, right after the election in Italy. Crazy Russians, now they sabotaged the pipelines they used to exert political pressure so they can no longer claim they'd resume deliveries if the sanctions were dropped. Well, that's one way to potentially get Germany to commit more resources to the war, now that the bait's been cut. Huh.
  6. I know - there've been cases of children with dark skin tones born to caucasian couples, and the inverse sometimes happens too, when black couples have perfectly white children. The former is fairly uncommon but happens somewhat regularily here (and in Germany) in areas that where occupied by the US after the second world war. Not hard to guess why. I just really doubt that was the thing the creative team was going for here.
  7. House of the Dragon. Yeah, so the real reason they made the Velaryons black wasn't just to create a token black house, but to make sure that even the dumbest morons alive realize that... Silly musings: the Velaryons, at least the male ones, all have dreadlocks. If it is cultural appropriation by caucasians to have dreads because they are a symbol of the civil rights movement, is it okay for a noble house to have dreads, even if they're all played by PoC actors? They're certainly not the ones fighting for civil rights in a medieval/feudal setting while being feudal lords, and it is very unlikely that they ever were. *snort*
  8. Well, they are hack frauds, and not always right. Mike's wrong on Star Trek 2009, for instance, and on Independence Day, which is glorious high production value trash. They also like Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Nobody's perfect.
  9. Geez choom, gotta chill a little.
  10. Hey @BruceVC, how's the party coming long, looks like you've got actual fascists ruling Italy pretty soon. Any plans to move there?
  11. Johnny's gun is both a power and a tech weapon. When aiming down the sights, it shoots through obstacles. In 1.5 it was bugged so any sort of time dilation effect prevented the weapon from shooting through obstacles when aiming, I wonder if that is still the case in 1.6, but probably. I expect this to be some sort of limitation, a secret buff that gets overriden or something like that. Double jump is indeed the best thing you can get, and you won't accidentially kill yourself with it. Unlike with the higher jump implants.
  12. Driving on the highway, rightmost lane, 55 mp/h speed limit, @majestic's is driving pretty much exactly 55 mp/h behind another car (with a more than comfortable distance between us) which is directly behind a truck with like half a yard between the two. Nobody's behind me. Exit coming up, the car before me is driving off the highway, I can see the idiot accelerating on the exit lane as he passes the truck, only to break hard before the upcoming corner. Yeah, so, I guess gas is still not expensive enough. Someone else is suddenly coming up from behind, takes the exit, accelerates past me, flips me the bird, then breaks hard before the corner. I'm a little unsure what the hell her problem was. I suppose she was sitting comfortably in my dead angle on the left lane and found it difficult to switch lanes. With, you know, the entire right lane empty, except that truck and the idiot in front of me. #Ihatedriving
  13. Stealth has the advantage of being a very easy way of dealing with enemies that would otherwise be too high level for you to defeat, but outside of a few gigs that yield better rewards for being stealthy or a main mission or two where stealth is a soft-requirement for a cleaner way to handle it, well... it is fairly pointless. Unless you really hate being yelled at by your fixer. Some of the cyberpsychosis sightings can be handled with stealth, speeding up the missions by a lot. The biggest advantage it has is that it's basically free anyway. Cool has some really good perks for every possible build, there's no reason not to invest in the stat in some capacity, even if for some reason you want to max Reflex, Body and Tech. Better hardware definitely makes the game glitch out much less. On my old system when I played Cyberpunk 2077, floors would regularily not be loaded before I drove over them, making me fall through the world relatively often, or roadblocks would spawn inside my car or bike, causing all of my forward momentum to suddenly apply in an upwards direction. While it certainly was funny to see my bike take off like a rocket, having to reload afterwards was annoying.
  14. Forum software be like:
  15. It also happens more often in some threads than in others. I'm not sure but this might be the first gaming forum thread where it happens on a very regular basis, hence people suddenly being more aware of it.
  16. As long as it is the 1992 anime either in the original with subtitles or the new Viz dub, everything else is, ah, well... the original English dub is an acquired taste, I guess. Except season four. The less is said about the creepy rape gang and the pedophile horse, the better. Would be fun to see the reactions from others as well. Particularily @Hurlshort's, who would probably get himself an aneurysm trying to figure out why @Bartimaeus and I basically hate everything he likes but love Sailor Moon. edit: Just realized I actually wanted to post about how boring Rings of Power is, even - or maybe especially - when it tries to be epic. They should also hire someone to revise the dialogue. Everything is basically Star Dreck Picard: Season Two Picard/Q interaction level of cringe. Sigh.
  17. 'Streamline' UI and 'make sure keys/buttons are consistently doing the same thing' are probably still two items on CDPR's kanban board. In the ultra low priority bucket.
  18. I'm not entirely sure how you'd get to the good stuff, i.e. moonshine, unless you have contacts to an expat/immigrant community.
  19. Don't worry, some of the names we're talking about are just Beamdog's fanfic content, or mods. You really do have a very odd idea of effective. You know what effective is? A Fighter/Cleric multiclass* dual wielding the Flail of the Ages and Defender of Easthaven with Draw Upon Holy Might, Improved Haste and Armor of Faith. You're still down two main hand attacks per round compared to a similar Fighter/Mage or Fighter/Druid** setup, but you're slowing the enemy, barely take any damage and can hit like a truck without bricking your spellcasting ability in the process. *One of the few cases where the multiclass setup edges out over a respective dual class in my opinion. While a Fighter(9)/Mage DC setup makes arguably the strongest possible character you could play (particularily since the EE's revised Grand Mastery removes the need to dual at 13), the fact that being a Fighter/Cleric multiclass allows you to pick Hardiness, which stacks with both Armor of Faith and Defender of Easthaven, is a big deal. Enough to make the MC edge out over the DC varieties. Having access to Fighter HLAs makes this build win out, and Cleric HLAs don't have the spell slot issue that Mage MC HLAs have. **Druids have Armor of the Faith too, but obviously can't use FoA or DoE. They have access to Belm as an off-hand piece and Iron Skin, making access to Fighter HLA not necessary, so any DC setup wins out, especially in light of their ridiculous experience table. The biggest downside is a Fighter/Druid DC's ludicrous stat spread - 17 WIS and 17 CHA required. Can dump a whole lot of INT as long as you stay away from Mind Flayers, but getting like 18/18/18/3/18/17 is kinda 'hard' (try impossible ). It's probably best to start this character in BG1 and fix stats up with the manuals (19 DEX makes no difference anyway, so starting with 17 DEX can get you 18 by the end of BG1). Weapon choices are somewhat limited, but if you don't mind waiting a whole lot and play with reduced party sizes, going for ** setups and a Fighter(13) DC will ease that problem - but there's not a whole lot of great weapons anyway, and in such a case you might as well use a multiclass. The Druid spells make up for it though. edit: Holy crap this thread is good at eating posts. I had to post this four times before it actually went through. GG forum software, that's a new low, even for you.
  20. Yeah, I can totally see @Zoraptor trying JoJo's or being assaulted with Sailor Moon gifs. That'll be very, ah, convincing. Or like watching an ecchi parody without any frame of reference!
  21. Just half the city.
  22. You could post it here: I'd post it myself but I am afeared of running afoul of the powers that be.
