I heard this one on Studio Q the other day about how the growing middle class in South Africa has allowed more home grown stand up comedians to earn a living down there.

Sharks have Raffi Torres now. All I know is my Hawks are going to play the Sharks at some time during the playoffs, and Torres will have an illegal hit to someone in the back of the head. My guess is that it will be Toews this time.

Really, it was all downhill after they changed their name from Lucasfilm Games. Right Bobbin Threadbare? That's him witnessing the destruction of the studio. Do you have anything to add to this, Zak McKracken? That was Zak's way of saying LucasArts was about to be toast, but in German.

Ooooooooh! This seems to be the year of the conditional 7th round pick. EDIT: Watch out! The often underestimated 4th round pick has just caught up and tied the conditional 7th round pick. Who will emerge the victor?
-
My favorite was after Escape From Monkey Island was successful, and they announced new Sam & Max, and Full Throttle games.... Which they proceeded to cancel to bring us more Star Wars games (good and bad.) At least we got Telltale Games from it.

Trade deadline day: Where more conditional 6th round picks get moved than the other 364 days combined!

Susan Wilson's Kickstarter discussion (split topic)
babaganoosh13 replied to babaganoosh13's topic in Computer and Console
Patrick Ewing is apparently on Susan's side, stating: "Sure, we make a lot of money, but we spend a lot too!" -
Just upped my Big Blue pledge a bit. I got my Genesis out of the basement, and am going to play some Ecco with my kids this weekend. Man, I hope this game gets made.

IIRCit was pretty half-assed, had quite a few plotholes, and never got patched to fix the multitude of bugs. It didn't generate near the sheer amount of negativity that DA2 did, but it got the ball rolling. I'm still waiting for my vigilance and black armor fix. I remember when Woo said they were "unfixable". Sighs...

That 2 year old baby hauled ass down the stairs, and head first too. Much like the Penumbra games and Amnesia, this one goes the helplessness route, rather than lots of monsters, splatter them with your shotgun. I just hope it focuses more on constant weighing tension rather than startle tricks. I wonder if you get to pick his stats?

Susan Wilson's Kickstarter discussion (split topic)
babaganoosh13 replied to babaganoosh13's topic in Computer and Console
There is now this: Apparently someone tried starting up a new social network called Boy Code 2.0. The only backers are the Wilson's, and nobody else is known to exist. Even the site's creator. Perhaps that's just a facebook conspiracy though. They made their potential competition "disappear". Also there is some "Yosmite" Hostel that was having a hard time getting going because of the city counsel. The proprietors might have been the Wilsons, but with beards on. Perhaps this is a simple case of they lost a boat load of money when the economy went down, and the parents went bat-s#!% insane. Assuming any of that stuff in the article is true. Hypothetically speaking: If one got/remained rich off of what seems like just a collection agency and hoarding domain names, stupid scams might seem easier than doing actual work. This kickstarter was probably what the daughter was going to do anyways, and the mom got the bright idea of how to make money off of it. It's now dead to me. EDIT: This whole story. This is NOT, I repeat NOT a death threat. EDIT EDIT: And I don't mean that as a double negative. -
I guess Redguard is just rumors. I don't follow it much, but it's hard to ignore some ES stuff coming through on the Fallout boards.

That's the problem here. We don't have enough competition. It's in Rogers and Bell's best interest that we don't use a site like Netflix. Even Shaw's are much better than those two, but are available in a lot less places. I need to hook up a few hundred dollars worth of equipment just to get it at my house.
-
It's 60GB here. If I got it at home, besides all of the stupid up-front costs, or 3 yr contract, for $50/month + fees, I would get 20GB/month. I would blink and go over that even without downloading games.
-
Any major release, I've pretty much got to buy a physical copy of. I didn't realize how big DA:O was, and that sucked out nearly half of the monthly download limit there. All of the Rockstar games are that bad as well, not to mention Rage.
-
Absolutely!!! Because as everyone knows, every PC player if given the chance will illegally download and steal a game rather than pay for it. I thought they still had a couple of more major pieces of DLC to go. Perhaps they are going to do an Ultimate Edition further on down the road.
-
It looks like they've taken down anything that has to do with the accursed letters: MMO All they have to do now is make it DRM-free and I'll donate more. EDIT: Yes, he has confirmed that there will be no MMO.

Not bad, not bad. I can see it. I was thinking that "There Will Be Cats" would be a cool name, but then decided I'm going to use that for my make-me-a-millionare-in-exchange-for-cat-photos KS campaign. So, sorry Obsidian, but you can't use my awesome title now. I've trademarked it already. After meeting with my focus group, it was unanimous; joint venture. Edit: They mentioned something about making a calendar with kittens wearing armor, and holding little weapons with their paws. Edit X2: And making them a playable race.

Perhaps it takes place in England? Or maybe not.

Nintendo taunts us in NA and Europe by offering Mother 2 (Earthbound) for 30 Yen ($0.32) We respond on the Japanese MiiVerse boards. My favorite response: Nintendo: Do you hate money and America? EDIT: A used copy of Earthbound typically goes for about the price of the 8GB WiiU

For me it was the guy from hell who hunted Cage that made the movie fun. For me it was the cutting edge computer effects. They reminded me of Another World.

Places like Google, Yahoo, PayPal, banks ect. should have this simple security feature: If someone is trying to access an account from a different hemisphere, don't let them on unless they arranged it ahead of time. Perhaps with a check box in security features. I'm just sayin'.
