  1. Does this mean according to the "Merkel is a socialist crowd" Gates is one too?
  2. Jesus Christ this. I generally disagree with bull**** that tries to censor political discussions in gaming but holy **** do I miss being able to go on a gaming website and actually discuss a game's mechanics.
  3. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2016/01/22/the-daily-202-bernie-sanders-has-a-eugene-v-debs-problem/?wpmm=1&wpisrc=nl_daily202 Yes, definitely not a socialist. Sounds good to me.
  4. Albania under the communists (it was also a majority muslim country)
  5. Clinton will win, obnoxious liberals will praise this as a victory for progressivism, the right will be emboldened to support even stupider and more destructive economic policies, and the moderate to far left will continue to be completely irrelevant all the while being blamed for everything.
  6. Finally saw Star Wars. Admittedly I've never been a huge fan of the franchise, I saw the original trilogy when I was a kid and I did enjoy them but never got as swept up by it as everyone else. Also worth mentioning I'm not particularly fond of J.J. Abrams and thought the Star Trek films were absolutely terrible. With that in mind I'm surprised to say I genuinely enjoyed the film. It was well shot, well directed, kept to the spirit of the original trilogy and [surprisingly] didn't have any cringey callbacks. Probably the only thing I didn't like was some of the CGI for the aliens. Overall about as good as it could've been.
  7. And no one thought to make them debate why Mr. Cameron porked a piggy? What a **** country.
  8. That sounds like an enormous stretch to me. Then again I'm not one to infer.
  9. Outraged is a strong word. It's just cheap edgy humour that isn't particularly funny.
  10. Better to **** them over with unequal trade agreements.
  11. Are you under the impression I'm enforcing the policy?
  12. The hypothetical men who could have been beaten up are the true victims.
  13. I've actually been reading Marcus Aurelius' Meditations. Got it in the mail last week. All that you see will soon perish; those who witness this perishing will soon perish themselves. Die in extreme old age or die before your time – it will all be the same. I find it comforting.
  14. I've been spitballing a theory that a lot of internet 'radicalism' has its roots in clickbait journalism constantly trying to outdo itself.
  15. Why not? The krazy katholics are already on their way towards implementing sharia law.
