  1. Which one do you recommend? EDIT: Dur, nevermind.
  2. Meta accidentally added your thread to the end of the funny videos thread.
  3. I think you accidently merged Hurlshot's thread into this one too.
  4. Interestingly, you see this quite often in elderly people that have been married for years and years. Its almost like they lose the will to live and simply give up.
  5. That might restore it. Ive occasionally seen icons display improperly and thats cleared up with the refresh but Ive never seen, or heard, of the icons dissapearing. On the bright side, the icons on the desktop are usually just shortcuts so you really didnt "lose" anything.
  6. Happy Birthday!!!! (almost)
  7. Kooky. Never heard that one before. You did the old right-click ---> Refresh on the desktop?
  8. As I was backing out of my garage this morning my windshield got hit with a glob of poo so large I can only surmise it came from a pterodactyl. On the bright side there was next to no traffic and I sailed to work.

And how do they replenish their air? CO2 scrubbers? Giant snorkel? Dharma may be on the way back but I doubt it. I think the pallet drops are automated. No way they dont know by now that all the stations are offline. Naomi is difinetly not Dharma, IMO. Shes working for Desmonds girlfriend with the bottomless pockets.
  10. ^Please respect the trademark, that would be SPORN.

Yeah, but maybe Looking Glass has batteries or something. Though severing the cable does make alot more sense. While the cable may also be a power supply, I took it more as the connection to the radio tower that emmits the jamming signal since you cant jam a radio signal from underwater. The whole reason for them to go to the Looking Glass was to flip a switch that would stop the jamming so it just seemed really silly to me that they would choose to try to swim to a flooded chamber, which would kill Charlie, instead of just axeing the cable.
  12. Whaaaaa? I cant believe what Im reading. Its "ok" to leave young children unsupervised if you had a poopy day or just felt like taking some time off? Er, no, its not ok. That also explains why there are laws that say thats not ok. Children are a lifetime commitment, especially in their wee years. You dont just tell little Johnny or Sally to hang out in the room until you get back from dinner. Thats just straight up idiotic, lazy and selfish.

I got the feeling that Desmond was somehow testing Charlie to see if he would actually sacrifice himself for the greater good. He either had to know, via his gift, that the Looking Glass was in fact not flooded or I suppose it could become flooded in the near future. Why the hell they didnt simply sever the cable is beyond me. I think the hotties are the last surviving remnants of the Dharma team and they think Charlie is one of the ones who wiped out the rest.
  14. Sure you were. *wink*
  15. Ah, porn and whiskey. No bachelor pad is complete without them.
  16. I had a similar experience with a Porsche 356B, only I bought the damn thing. Bad idea. I remember you posting about that. At the time you seemed pretty happy about it and things were going smoothly with the repairs. Did you eventually get burned out / priced out on the whole thing?
  17. I do, a 6yo daughter.
  18. ^So, IYO, whats crossing the line? If making the children in their charge literally fear for their lives is a "bad call" punishable with what amounts to a 11 day suspension (schools typically close around 1 Jun for summer break), what is a fireable offence?
  19. I had a chance to pick up a Porche 928S for a song and a dance. It was red, sexy and fast as a bullet but it needed a fair amount of interior work (cracked dash, torn upholstery, missing knobs). After perusing a few dealers who specialize in after market Porche parts and seeing what I would have to invest to "get it the way I wanted it", I ultimately decided to pass on the car.
  20. Occums Razor. She probably wandered out of the room herself looking for her parents and got swallowed up by someone in the street. Her parents should be horse whipped without mercy for leaving three young children unsupervised while they left the building to go eat dinner.

Yeah, or just fly away. I can forgive it before they knew Sylar was near because they would constantly have to touch/hold hands for everyone to be effected but after they knew they should have taken some measures.
  22. Assuming the "closest" end of the carrier is the bow, then the "island" is on the wrong side. It should be on the starbord (right) side. If the closest part of the carrier is actually the stern, then its all goofy as that part is supposed to be flat and does not come to a point at the waterline. AFAIK, that design has not greatly changed in the history of carriers. EDIT: *sigh* Just noticed you were specifically asking about Fallout tech and not RL tech. Disregard the above.

What joke? Who is the Vision? Me so confused. Good episode. I kinda wish Ted Also thought it was pretty cool to see Sulu bust out some moves. So,
  24. How in the hell did they defang that thing? Hmm, maybe just file them down and cap off the holes the venom flows through. They just pull 'em out, don't they? I dunno. From my admittedly limited knowledge of snake biology, I thought the upper jaw was hollow like the fangs and it would likely break the entire jaw trying to pull them out.
  25. ^Not from what I remember of the cartoon. One (non-humanoid) mode per Transformer/Decepticon.
