  1. Yeah, those insignia don't do anything save prevent the guy from running back to his corpse to rez. Also, how long have you been playing? 'Cause the game's been out for years, the battleground system is officially ancient, and even arenas are getting on in age by now, so if you're a longtime player I'd wonder how the hell you managed to avoid PVP this long. If, on the other hand, you're relatively new, I suppose I can kind of see it. Either way, get used to it. It's the only thing to do at 70 if you're not a raider, and raiding will leave you a broken, bitter husk of a man that smokes too much and hates everything associated with WoW. *hangs head in shame* Ive been playing for years, its just that I never got into PvP. Now Im almost forced into it so I can get the pimp gear. Dont do much raiding either as my guild is just WAY too serious about it. Must have Vent (I dont due to wonky firewall problem), must "sign up" for the raid at the guild website, etc...blergh. So, since you seem to know about it, whats the difference between the battlegrounds and the arena? Just the available loot rewards? Also, I saw this phat mage staff in the Hall of Legends, that requires 37k+ honor and what looked like three different kinds of tokens (30 each), whats the fastest way to get that, lol.
  2. Still playing WoW but for the first time I dipped my toe into PvP. Went to the Arathi battlegrounds and to be honest I didnt have a clue. Saw we were supposed to capture three flags so I just let the ones in the know do all that while I layed the smackdown on anything with a red name hovering over it. I was shocked to see in the short time it took to win the battle (maybe 15 minutes) I had some how racked up 45 kills. Picked up every insignia I could find on the dead Alliance but dont know what they do. The whole PvP side of the game is pretty alien to me. I see several battlegrounds which each seem to give up their own specific tokens and I dont know wtf happens in the "Arena".
  3. Im sitting here at work watching the tree outside my window slowly become encased in ice. Its beautiful. Im so bored.
  4. ^Maybe its just straight statistical probability? The more people there are, the more likely X event happens?
  5. Very interesting. I hadnt heard anything about that.
  6. Wow, is that for real? It reads like a bad joke but it has just enough fact in it to make me think maybe somebody is serious.
  7. Do you guys think Adam doesnt needs food, water or oxygen and will live in the coffin forever or do you think those factors would kill him?
  8. I was wondering, and I know time travel plots are dodgey at best, but since the 2008 pandemic will never happen where is his girlfriend? Still trapped in the future I would guess, albeit a happier future.
  9. Good episode this week. I was surprised to see Hiro bury Adam alive, I didnt think he had it in him.
  10. I was only in the Navy (no, I didnt drive ships, submarines or fly planes) but I'll hazzard a guess. Is "spin school" where you go for testing in a big centrifuge where they teach you how to resist high "G's"?
  11. Ooooh, ooooh, is this where everyone falls on his neck for grammar! How fun!
  12. Most likely, yes, it does have Bluetooth. Going from how my cellular Bluetooth works, when a Bluetooth enabled device is present (IE: a printer) you will put your PC Bluetooth into "search mode" while said device is on. The PC will "find" the device and then you just follow the steps to link them. This is necessary to "slave" the Bluetooth links so not just anyone using Bluetooth in the vicinity would hop your signal, or vice versa.

    Family

QFT! I used to be like a lot of guys. I didn't want kids, I wanted to stay single forever, enjoying my time drinking, sleeping, watching whatever movies I wanted and playing video games. These feelings changed a bit after I met my wife but were still present in various degrees until the very second my daughter was born 6 months ago almost to the day. Let's just say that having a child is like getting hit in the groin really hard by reality. This is a good thing. How shallow my life was before my daughter. But the second she was born it's like I understood everything. All came into focus and I learned that SHE is what life is about and everything else is just filler. I love you sweetheart! +1 Im the youngest of three and both my siblings still live in Florida. Were close but we dont chit-chat all the time. We talk and catch up once a month or so. Both of my parents are long gone. My father when I was 7 and my mother when I was 17. EDIT: Oh yeah, Im also married and on good terms with all the in-laws, of which there is a buttload. Interestingly, that was the biggest culture shock for me as I was used to not having a lot of "family" around.
  15. I disagree. I mean, I think her face is pretty ordinary. But that's just me I guess. Personally I think the face is the most important thing when it comes to looks. Not fine! Have you taken leave of your senses man?! Just look at her. I had to go to page three of Google images before I found a pic I didnt think would get me banned, lol.

    Pssst

^Why dont you have "Obsidian VIP" as your title?
  17. IMDB.com says the lead female is Carmen Electra so, unfortunatey, not a porn star. Shes unbelievably fine. The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human
  18. Huh, well I'll be. I just figured that was his gimmick.
  19. I read somewhere (maybe one of your links) that this was a good "stoping point" in the arc. Yeah, Peters blind faith in some schlub he met in a prison kinda annoys me. The only thing that kinda justifies it is Adam did save his brother. Why is Hiro dumb though?
  20. They are actually two different people?!
  21. Well today is the last day of work and am looking forward to the long weekend. Going to dinner with the family and on Sunday am attending The Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular. Good show, Ive seen it before. Problem is a buddy offered me four free tickets to the Bears game on Sunday.
