  1. @Spiritofpower: IMO, being able to fail at a crafting is a big no no. You either have the required skill level or you do not but seeing all your hard acquired mats go *poof* because some RNG didn't go your way is an express trip on the rage train.
  2. That's what I use and I really dig it. The apps let you share the comics across all devices and also offer whats called a "guided view" option, which instead of seeing the whole page at once it will instead show you each panel in order, which I prefer. I don't know how the prices compare to physical media though.
  3. Guess that shows what a n00b I am. The series I was referring to is the Justice League. Which is awesome.
  4. Wouldnt you just post on their forums that you bought into the weresheep thing, just like people post on our forums that joined the Order?
  5. He just got hit with a 10 game ban for that.
  6. Im currently reading: New 52 (which only has 19 episodes so far), The Astonishing X-Men (have the first 6 of those), Crisis on Infinite Earths (only have the first episode) and have my eye on Civil War. What are you currently reading?
  7. Which book are you reading? Sorry, I don't understand your question (and I may be using the wrong terminology). Im reading these on my iPad using the Marvel and DC Comics apps. WRT the New 52, I just finished the fourth episode (which is really numbered as three since they started at zero) and this episode introduced Wonder Woman.
  8. Finished the first four episodes of the New 52 and am loving it. I really dig the artwork in this series. Wonder Woman is so badass!
  9. Wait, now "cracking" means downloading an entire game?
  10. Caught up on the first two episodes of Defiance. Entertaining so far, although I must have missed the beginning that explains why Earth is all jacked up and why there are a bunch of different alien races and animals (Ill read about it in the Defiance wiki). For some reason the lead male reminds me of the captain of Firefly.
  11. I believe the age bracket question is what determines how high a level you are. Which is why you and I were higher-ish level than most others.
  12. You Are A: Neutral Good Human Fighter (6th Level) Ability Scores: Strength- 13 Dexterity- 13 Constitution- 13 Intelligence- 14 Wisdom- 16 Charisma- 15
  13. Started reading the New 52. Picked up the first four editions (0-3) and have only read the first so far. Pretty good, I hadnt read the SHAZAM origin before so that was all new to me. As an aside, I know I havent read comics in ~20 years, but when the hell did they start costing $2.99-$3.99 each? I realize its not a lot but I cant help but feel a bit snookered every time I press the purchase button.
  14. Do you think this is a significant enough amount of people to make them care? IMO, most people probably dont care, its only we hard core nerds that even notice. And even out of us its a small fraction that is bothered enough to actually not buy the product.
  15. Alright, this has run its course. Weve sent PM's and LadyCrimson has kindly cleaned up the last mess. Any more personal attacks or insults will result in official warnings.
  16. Steam offers a couple of different packages that include DLC (Reunion, Albion Prelude), can you recommend or discourage anything about those?
  17. Bought a digital collection of the first 6 editions of Astonishing X-Men. The Marvel app offers the first 24 episodes in four 6 episode collections so Ill pick those up too as I work my way through. I also need to download the DC app.
  18. Ah, thanks for the clarification.
  19. Keyrock is slowly brainwashing me into buying X3.
  20. Huh, I didn't know they offered a co-op mode for an additional $15. Color me intrigued.
  21. ^That was awesome.
  22. 2 Good Places to Live, 1,200 Light-Years Away
  23. I agree that at the end of the day that's whats important but for me, how I get from A to Z (and how painful it is) is a big influence to my enjoyment. I fully expect a great story, engaging NPC's and beautiful graphics, but since Im going to be pummeled into submission by the bread and butter mechanics I have a strong suspicion that my enjoyment wont be everything it could have been. I hope Im wrong.
  24. I feel its misleading because of the reasons you describe above. It so nebulous, so open to interpretation, that's its virtually meaningless. Its a carefully constructed term designed to evoke positive responses yet leave so much wiggle room as to not mean anything. I didn't expect the same mechanics because Obsidian doesn't have the DnD license, but I also didn't expect for most mechanics to have a random turd (a "twist" specifically designed to discourage use) attached to each either. So, for me, "spiritual successor" just turned into throwing $52 bucks in the toilet. No biggie, but lesson learned.
  25. I find "spiritual successor" to be a misleading term. I mean, (almost) all quality RPG's offer party members, (almost) all quality RPG's try to tell a strong story and (almost) all quality RPG's have an engaging combat system. So if you gut (almost) every single mechanic and remake them, what does P:E bring to the table from previous IE games? From what I can tell, only the isometric view. This is also being done in Shadowrun Returns and Divinity. Are they now "spiritual successors" to the IE lineage?
