The US has a good head start but needs to dramatically increase R&D and production of drone technology across all branches the military. That way we can wage unrestricted warfare on anyone that defies our bidding without having our citizens worrying about human military deaths. Also, we need a constellation of satellites equipped with Rods from God.

Demolitionist (Fire Strike) and just about anything works. The other possibility, which requires using a 2-handed weapon (rifle or crossbow) is Shaman (Primal Strike) and something of your choice. You can also potentially go soldier, but Demo and Shaman are probably better. If you want a ranged caster, Occultist, Shaman, and Arcanist are probably your best choices as far as I know (though casters aren't something I like, so I'm not so knowledgeable about them.) My Shaman is single-classed. Dual-classed with a Soldier makes a guy called 'The Warden' who is badass but involves a level of thought and planning I am incapable of atm. The Shaman is a very, very cool melee class. It's basically an elemental barbarian / summoner. Have you got to the part of the game that feels like 'Deadwood?' Ha ha this game is actually quite original. Colour me shocked. I love the smell of molotov c0cktails in the morning. I dual-classed last night to Occultist and now I have a pewpew magic missile to go with...my other ranged weapons. I'm kinda choosing classes/abilities willy nilly so I feel like by build is already a bit jacked up. Ill let it play out for a while longer and see how it develops. I also notice a sweet respect button so it looks like I can bail out if I need to.

Grim Dawn. Rolled a Demolitionist and leveled up to ~8. It took me an embarrisngly long time to figure out how to assign a Destiny point but its good fun so far.

I think I wanted one of Shady's games once but someone beat me to it and Ive never been able to move on.

Just picked up Grim Dawn and will give it a try tonight. Which class / combination is recommended for a range dps build?

We tossed around the idea of all electric vehicle but in the end put the kibosh on it for completely unrealistic reasons. Its not the cost, my wife's current car cost more than that, its that even though 99.9% of our lives occur comfortably in the vehicles battery range Ive convinced myself its not enough. ~200 miles makes me nervous (even though I could charge up every night at home) and the thought of cooling my heels at a charging station (which barely exists) for ~20 minutes annoys me greatly. Even though it wouldn't factor into my life. Oh well, maybe we'll look again in 5 years and see where the technology and infrastructure has advanced to.

I can appreciate that. But not in an Illinois (and possibly Swedish?) winter, then you just have another car in the garage that you cant drive for ~4 months without fear of spectacular spinouts.

I'm curious why? Doesn't rear wheel drive suffer in the winters? You mention rwd around these parts and people look at you like your lucky not to have rolled your car in a ditch.

@ Longknife: It sounds like the person is socially awkward so they onsessively repeat what "worked" for them in previous interactions. If youre at a breaking point cant you just unfriend them or something? Ive run into people like that before and I wind up pity-friending them because I feel like I'm their only friend.

It makes me want to wash my eyes out with soap, but Im going to have to agree with BVC that "you can't expect the average common citizen to really understand who is the best person to run a country". Imo, average people only "understand" a few key points that are important to their lives and really have no concept of what it takes in a leader to "run a country".

Oh yeah, you threw me off with the "children" comment. Wrt the UK, its not anger, its like.....if you go to a bar and one of your friends is being a jacktard but they think they are being clever/ funny/ tough/ etc. but they don't have the sense to be embarrassed so you become embarrassed FOR them. That kind of thing. I have a respect for the UK, hell at one time the "sun never set" on their empire. But in this case their parliament was literally reduced to hurling childish insults while shaking their fists at the heavens and it made me want to cover my eyes and peek through my fingers.

I find bees mesmerizing. Right off my back patio are two bushes that bloom with hundreds if little white flowers and bees are crazy for it. All during the spring and summer there will be dozens of bees on each bush just hopping from flower to flower doing their thing. Ill just sit there at the table drinking a beer or grilling and stare at them in fascination. They don't mess with me, I don't mess with them.
