  1. The Saudi's are makin' it rain up in here. This (total) package, coupled with the 20B from earlier, is like three years of free UHC! w00t!
  2. ^But what if this motley crew solves how to stop terrorism? It could happen... Anyway, tragic. Hope nobody we know over there was affected.
  3. Did you just generalize that everyone is a guy?
  4. Saudi Arabia’s $20 billion wager with Blackstone is record-sized bet on U.S. infrastructure. #winning
  5. Congrats , BVC!
  6. Come hang in Chicago where its now a crisp 9C. We can go sit in my garage and knock back beers.
  7. I like this theory and youre probably right but
  8. The obvious parallel is, both the public library and public parks (or wherever these statues were), are financed by the state/city. If the rationale is to remove offensive from public view then where is the line drawn? Aside, I honestly had no idea that the Constitution protects books. What other mediums are protected? Paintings? Obviously statues do not enjoy such protection. Sincere question; if enough NA's got together could they force the covering of Mt. Rushmore with a giant curtain, for example?
  9. Isnt that the exact rationale for the various book burnings throughout history?
  10. I mean, 725 Pelican Ave, New Orleans, LA 70114 (NO public library) is a state financed building. Inside is filled wall to wall, floor to ceiling with state financed books. Many of these books make angry for . Why is this state funded acceptable?
  11. But these books are freely available inside government, state and federal buildings. Why would they support the availability of such material in public places? Someone could see it and become offended.
  12. Offensive books, to burn or not to burn? Maybe hide them away in a museum? Discuss.
  13. World's thinnest hologram paves path to new 3-D world.
  14. Condolences, majestic.
  15. In the never ending cycle of "how to make this story more fantastical than the last", it appears our most benevolent leaker and world hero revealed the “most valuable source of information on external plotting by Islamic State.”.
  16. Yeah they also revered a parasitic twin for a while, Lakshmi Tatma.
  17. Although I poke fun at posts and subjects I feel like I should set the record straight for any of the uninitiated: 1) Trump is a dumpster fire. You know whos a worse dumpster fire? Pence. Be careful what you wish for. 2) I dont care about a wall. Not because I think it would be ineffective, Israel proves otherwise, but because Im for open immigration. The more peeps we make legal, the more we all benefit as a group. 3) I had something else for here but now Ive forgotten. EDIT: Oh yeah, now I remember. Spend, spend, spend on infrastructure! Start with the IL highways pls.
  18. If there's corruption to be had, you can count IL in! I wonder how that was calculated? For example, here in IL, any job where the person earns tips (wait staff, bartending, etc.) DO NOT pay minimum wage by law. Because the effective wage is much higher when factoring in tips.
  19. Two birds, one stone!
  20. Whew, I'm relieved that we don't really have infrastructure problems.
  21. Huh, Obs created their Pathfinder app but didn't land the computer version? Smells funny.
  22. I see. I hate missing out on wildly speculative opinions so here's mine; Trump is secretly a conscientious "leaker" whos disclosing secret information to make the world a better place. You know, like Manning and Assange, he is doing yeoman's work.
  23. Who is the shadowy informant in a room of Trump, Lavrov and Kislyak?
  24. actually, it sounds like the correct starting point for an investigation. no doubt one o' the reasons the trump campaign switched from ronald reagan to andrew jackson as the role model for trump is 'cause trump voters is suspicious o' russia. cold war soviet distrust is not forgotten particular 'mongst the alt-right crowd. possible first thing one thinks o' when invoking reagan is the cold war conflict. trump's russian entanglements is arguable where he is most vulnerable with his core voters. regardless, go into an investigation believing everybody is gonna lie to you sounds like the reasonable pov. doubting thomas got a bad rap. such skepticism might be antithetical to questions o' faith, but am knowing we don't want the folks investigating to make judgments based on such elusive and ephemeral stuff as faith. HA! Good Fun! I suppose. But not having any evidence of their own, and not believing either side, is pretty much the equivalent of pissing into a fan. Splashes everywhere but just gets you wet.
  25. I love that he just dngaf.
